When will meizu m2 mini. Meizu M2 Mini review: stylish budget employee. Specifications Meizu M2 Mini

I have been interested in the M mini line for a long time, but I did not order the first version, tk. only Gsm networks work in Russia, and now it is absolutely sad. But here's how the second generation was announced with support for Wcdma and Lte-fdd, I definitely decided for myself! I take it!

The second generation M2 mini, it got a slightly weaker processor, but now it works perfectly in Russian frequencies, and also got a mechanical button.

Completion and appearance

The device is packed in a square thin box with a minimum number of inscriptions, complete minimalism. It looks nice and pleasant.

Inside, you will find not many, a phone, an instruction manual, a data cable, a plug and a paper clip.

The device itself looks nice, my device is white, it seems like gray looks even better, well, at least that's what they say.
Also, the white version is glossy and slippery, despite the fact that it fits comfortably in the hand, it still strives to slip out.

There are no complaints about the assembly, everything is assembled just fine, the lid is not removable, there are no backlashes, nothing creaks and does not stick out anywhere. Here is a solid 5+!

The main button was replaced with a mechanical one, which has 2 functions: Press - home, tap (touch) on the button - back. There is no menu button, but for the entire period of operation, I practically did not have moments when it was needed.
The very same mechanical button shares the opinion of the people, some people like it, some just the opposite. Personally, I really liked it, and I quickly got used to it.

The button is plastic and has a chrome rim.

Perhaps you could immediately notice the gap between the case and the screen under the button, no, this was not the device that was, initially everything was fine, I just used it for the first week with an old cable from another phone, and for some reason it was very tightly inserted and removed from phone, which is why it happened :(
So from the first days it is better to use only your own charging cable.

On the left are the power button and volume rocker.
They sit well, do not hang out, the only thing is that they have too easy pressing, they could have done a little tighter, but this is nit-picking.
There is nothing on the right side.

Above only 3.5mm headphone jack

Bottom 1 microphone, micro-usb input, external speaker.

Rear main camera and 1 LED flash

Front Sensors, front camera and earpiece

Screen

The resolution is 1280x720 pixels, which is quite optimal for 5 inches.
For some reason, many complain about the screen, although I did not see anything wrong with it, this is an ordinary medium-cheap IPS that lacks stars from the sky, but at the same time it is not bullshit. The picture is juicy, the stock of brightness is enough, you can use the device on a sunny day, viewing angles are almost maximum, color distortion only at very large angles, especially in dark colors, they start to turn yellow.

The screen itself is not covered with the coolest glass (the glass did not burn), but it is quite normal, it has a not very good oleophobic coating, but I did not have any problems with rubbing off the stained glass.

Viewing angles

Performance and technical component

For a state employee, it has a typical filling in the form of MTK6735 and 2 gigs of RAM.

The processor is not truncated, for most tasks both the processor and the amount of memory are enough for the eyes.

Even when choosing a balanced option (there is still High performance) in the anttu, it gives out: ~ 27,000 parrots

When working with desktops, menus and other microlags, I did not notice.
In terms of toys, well, there were 6735 chasing and more than once who could, they play really demanding games, otherwise they pull without any problems.

Operating system and uptime

The device works with Android 5 and Flyme OS.
Here you can write a separate review about it, this is really a full-fledged shell for the phone, not like Doogee or any similar comrades, they take the Naked Android, change the icons to disgusting ones, put a few little things and voila! Doogee OS!
NO! Here, EVERYTHING is really redesigned, or almost everything, because it is not the first day that devices have been producing maize and they were able not only to create, but also to optimize and polish it.

She herself leaves a positive impression, despite the fact that it has its drawbacks, although some of them are governed by various crutches, in general, it is a solid and pleasant shell.

Now there are some problems with Russian, initially it is not there, i.e. only English, Chinese and a few more languages, they promise to officially return soon.

At the moment there are 3 options:
1) Ask to put Russian from the Chinese, they usually ask about 3 bucks for this, when updating / resetting, Russian will fly off.
2) Put MoreLocale 2 + several files from 4pda, Russify almost everything, just as when updating / resetting, Russian will fly off. (I chose this option)
3) Use the device in English and wait until the maze is officially returned to the Russian firmware.

System screens

Working hours

Here the device surprised me very pleasantly, in general I thought it would be something like the majority of Chinese people in this price range, i.e. every evening - recharging, but everything turned out to be much better.
Of course, if you wish, you can plant it in half a day.

Basically, I had about 35% -45% left by the end of the day.
There is nothing special about using: about 30 minutes of calls, up to an hour of Internet surfing, 1-2 hours of Internet radio and every little thing like a camera, in contacts, vibers and so on in a small amount.
Wifi and GPS are always on, screen brightness is automatic.

Camera

Main camera 13MP f2 / 2 5 lenses from Samsung.
This is an honest 13MP, no interpolation.
At its price, it shoots well, devices in the same price category are clearly inferior in all respects.

First of all, I would like to note the software for which any closest competitors simply nervously smoke on the sidelines. Auto, manual settings (white balance \\ exposure compensation \\ up to 10 sec exposure \\ focal length), qr scanner, slow motion and all sorts of more familiar ones like portrait, panorama, etc.

In good light, the pictures are good, although they lack a little contrast.
The focus works quickly.

Some more photos

Also, pretty good macro shots are obtained, it is best to take them in manual mode, otherwise it can be difficult to get the desired focus with auto

More macro shots

When there is not enough lighting, focus starts to work noticeably slower, the pictures start to wash.

However, for example, in the same Doogee y100 pro, the device produces better pictures
Top M2 Mini
Bottom Doogeee Y100 PRO

The front camera is 5MP and has autofocus.
For a front camera, it removes decently, but nothing special.

Video writes 30 fps, FULL HD
The quality is not bad, you can shoot.

There is also a SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOW MO function
In fact, this is more like marketing garbage, because it will not bring real usefulness and will be used a little more than no one else.
There is only one reason - oooooooooooo bad recording quality, despite the fact that it writes only in 640x480, the quality is terrible.
But the presence of such a function in the device for such a price is impressive.
And here it is more likely not a matter of the camera, but of the processor, which is simply not originally designed for such tasks, starts to noticeably warm up when shooting.

conclusions

I tried not to write about the minuses especially during the whole review and concentrate all attention on them in the conclusions, they are, some for someone will be significant, for someone not, but let's start with the good.

pros

+ Smart device
+ Really good camera for its price point
+ Excellent build
+ Good conversational speaker (it is really good, you can hear it clearly, volume with a margin)
+ Flyme OS
+ Appearance, it still looks pretty
+ Support (meizu does not put a bolt on its products immediately after release, like the rest of the Chinese, there that at least 1 year I think there will be updates, or even 2-3)
+ Battery

Controversial points, depending on the taste of everyone

± Mechanical button, some people don't like it, on the contrary, I really, really like it.
± Screen, I didn't know where to put it, so I put it in here, the screen is not bad, but nothing more, so if a very good screen is important to you, consider this
± Temporary official absence of the Russian language in the firmware.
± Glossy and slippery (gray matte, everything should be better in this regard)
± The sound in the headphones, there is no separate DAC, the sound is not that bad, rather it is usually flat, and if you have some expensive ears, you may be disappointed.
± You can use EITHER 2 SIM cards at once, OR 1 SIM + USB flash drive. Option 2 sim + flash drive NO

Minuses

- 1 microphone
- Lousy external speaker, alas, it is full of PPC, most of the melodies play extremely badly, so if you want to put your song on a call, you will have to choose the one that will sound normal for a long time. Forget to listen to music through it.
- 4G, when I turned it on and surfed the internet for 10-20 minutes, my device (the place where the processor is located, to the left of the camera) warmed up to such an extent that it was difficult to keep it in that place, so I immediately turned off this 4G.
- Perhaps it's just me, maybe a firmware glitch, but turning on the device from sleep for 1-2 seconds. When during a conversation I take the phone to see something in it, I have to wait 2-4 seconds for the screen to light up, unpleasant little things.
- The glass of the device is still not the best, the first days I generally went with the factory film, it is matte, a finger glides on it perfectly, not only the inscriptions on it, I would not take it off :)
- The plastic of the back cover of the phone is most likely one of the cheapest, so it can quickly wear out / crack.

So, if you are looking for a 5-inch device in the price range of up to $ 130- $ 140 (reseller price), then this in my opinion will be an excellent choice. A good hardware component, a well-thought-out and existing shell from the manufacturer for several years, updates will be at least 1 year, although there are some drawbacks.
Did the maize succeed in making the perfect 5 inch? Alas, no, they had to save on something, so they failed on this, although I would gladly have spent another 1-2 dozen dollars if they had eliminated all these shortcomings in the device, but this would be more likely in Meizu m3. Now we have just a solid apparatus.

Competitors?
… Among devices with a 5-inch screen and in this price category - I don't see them. Indeed competitors, and not some alternative options that are cheaper by $ 15, but in comparison they suck on all points.

I plan to buy +23 Add to favourites I liked the review +32 +71

Chinese manufacturers are steadily increasing their presence in the global smartphone market. More and more strong models that are in demand among buyers appear not only in the budget, but also in the middle price segment.

Meizu M2 Mini can be called a striking representative of such "middle peasants", which is able to compete with the "flagships". The review of the device that we conducted to write this article will show what capabilities this phone has and what to expect from it in practice. We will also consider the reviews about the model and the characteristics of those who managed to work with this device.

Positioning

By the name of the model, we can say that it is defined by the developer as a simplified, more accessible version of the "main" device - the Meizu M2 Note smartphone. Mini (which we will review) has a slightly curtailed functionality, due to which it is offered cheaper. However, considering this phone, one should not confuse it with the "wretched" Chinese models, which have the simplest and "sluggish" processor, a small faded screen and a weak battery. No, this time the developers approached the reduction of the price of the smartphone more responsibly, choosing the optimal components for the money that the buyer pays.

Unfortunately, the smartphone is not that affordable in the domestic market. Its cost is 13 thousand rubles - and this price characterizes, rather, the middle segment of phones. However, when we were preparing the review, we noticed that the phone works quite well and, judging by its functions, it pays for the invested funds. Thus, it justifies even its not the most budgetary cost.

Appearance

It's no secret that Chinese manufacturers often turn their attention to how the products of the most advanced companies such as Apple or Samsung are arranged. In this sense, the M2 Mini, the review of which we have prepared, does not stand out from a number of these devices. Even a cursory glance at the image of the device, we can definitely say that it resembles Apple iPhone 6. If you take the smartphone in hand, then the sensations are somewhat similar due to both similar dimensions and the same weight of the models.

Certain elements of the smartphone body were clearly borrowed from the "apple" company. For example, the device of the frame around the perimeter of the phone, the appearance of the Home key (unless you count the fact that it is more elongated), the layout of materials on the Meizu M2 Mini. The review clearly demonstrates that the smartphone is implemented in the same style, which is, in fact, a win-win for many developers from China.

And this is confirmed not only by our personal experience with the phone, but also by the reviews presented. Due to its dimensions, the model lies very comfortably in the hand, looks solid, and is pleasant to the touch.

The design of the phone itself is not demountable, which significantly increases its strength. The back cover is plastic, while the base of the device is made of metal. Covers, by the way, can be changed at the discretion of the user - in total, the manufacturer has 4 of them in the assortment: gray, pink, blue and white.

Navigation elements

The described smartphone also possesses some features due to the placement of functional holes and navigation elements. In particular, as you can see in the presented photos, the Meizu M2 Mini, which we are reviewing, has a large oval Home key. It is very similar to the touch button for fingerprint scanning that the iPhone has. I would also like to mention the "rocker" for adjusting the sound, located on the side edge, and the button for unlocking the display, installed slightly higher.

Of the functional holes on the M2, there is a speaker located at the bottom of the phone case, as well as a port for connecting a charger. There is a headphone jack (3.5mm jack) on the top of the phone. The back cover of the smartphone also has holes for the camera and flash.

Screen

The display size of the phone reaches 5 inches. This is considered to be the optimal indicator, given the needs of modern users and the capabilities of phones of this class. The screen resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels, which allows us to speak of an average density of about 296 dpi. There is no graininess in day-to-day work, although if you want to, you can still find pixels in some places.

The display glass is also protected (we are talking about AGC Dragontrail technology) and covered with a special oleophobic layer. Due to this, it is pleasant to work with it (due to its ease of sliding) and safe. As practical tests have shown, even after long-term use of the device in moderate mode, not a single scratch appeared on the glass. Although we would still recommend purchasing a case for your Meizu M2 Mini, especially since their assortment is very wide on any Chinese portal! We will not talk about films, various additional coatings - this is an already obvious opportunity to "tune" your device and further secure it for the future.

Battery

The review dedicated to the Meizu M2 Mini model, customer reviews, as well as the technical specifications of the device contain a ton of information on battery behavior. This is not surprising, because the "endurance" of the battery directly determines the comfort of using the device. Accordingly, you will be an order of magnitude more satisfied with your smartphone if it shows remarkable autonomy.

The model we are describing has a 2500 mAh battery. She, as it turned out, is not removable. Its volume is large enough to provide the model with 12-13 hours of calls. Thus, in economy mode, the phone will last 3-4 days without additional charging!

Software optimization plays an important role in smartphone energy consumption. So, as shown by a review dedicated to Meizu M2 Mini 16Gb, the smartphone has the ability to switch to one of three power modes, which are called "Energy Saving", "Balanced" and "Performance". By switching between them, you can even more significantly reduce battery drain and extend the operating time of the smartphone.

CPU

The phone has a relatively new processor, which was presented to the world only this year. We are talking about - a quad-core "heart" of the device, issuing up to 1.5 GHz clock frequency for each of the cores. The GPU here is Mali T-720, which supports OpenGL ES and Open CL.

As noted by reviews, the smartphone has some difficulties with playing games (especially on higher requirements). As far as day-to-day work is concerned, with simple basic steps, everything runs smoothly and smoothly.

Of course, the smartphone can be called a budget one, so you shouldn't count on “performance miracles” here. However, there are no particular difficulties here.

Communication

The main features (communication) in the device are no different from what is present in the mass of other phones of this class. In particular, this is the presence of a GSM module, support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, the ability to work with GSP. GLONASS can also be referred to the number of systems that support navigation on this smartphone.

A positive aspect of Meizu M2 Mini (the firmware installed on the device does not matter) is the ability to work with LTE. Moreover, in the settings menu, the user can independently choose in which mode this or that SIM card will be available.

But NFC is not observed here, so you will have to forget about other “remote things”.

Camera

On the smartphone, as it became established, two cameras are installed - the main one, the matrix resolution of which is 13 megapixels and the front one (5 megapixels). Of course, these specifications can be "inflated" by the Chinese manufacturer in order to attract more buyers of Meizu M2 Mini. A camera overview is what can help you understand what the device really is.

If you believe the reviews, the quality of the shooting can be called good. Both cameras maintain the color balance at a decent level, transmit saturation, and retain the sharpness of the picture. The only remark can be made, perhaps, regarding the cut-off viewing angles. They are really narrower than you can see on many other phones.

The software part of the photo and video camera is also at its best here - the device has a wide range of settings that can significantly change the quality of the resulting image. For example, here you can adjust the shutter speed, ISO options and more.

operating system

The base of work for the Meizu M2 Mini (which we are conducting a detailed review) is the Android 5.1 version (current at the time of the release of the device). It is possible that the device is now adapted to work with the "six", which appeared relatively recently.

True, fans of the interface of this system should be immediately warned: there is almost nothing left of the “native” on the device. The model is pre-installed with a shell developed by the manufacturer. It is called Flyme and, to be honest, everyone's attitude towards it can be purely individual. A feature of this version is, for example, the absence of the system keys at the bottom of the screen that are familiar to us all. Instead, there are three shortcut buttons; and you can go back to home or back by using various combinations of pressing the Home button.

Meizu M2 Mini is a compact budget smartphone. The device has got a lot of modern features and youthful design. It was introduced in July 2015.

Appearance and ergonomics

Smartphone Meizu M2 Mini got a rectangular polycarbonate case. Sloped corners are complemented by beveled edges. Thanks to special polishing and multi-level processing, the device is really comfortable to hold in your hand. The entire front panel is covered by AGC's Dragontrail tempered glass. Below the display is an oval-shaped mTouch mechanical button that senses pressure. There is a corporate logo on the back, as well as a camera peephole and a flash. At the bottom there is not only a USB connector, but also a multimedia speaker and microphone. But the upper edge has only a 3.5 mm headphone port. The assembly is very high quality, there are no unnecessary squeaks. Inside is a 2500 mAh battery. Available colors: white, pink, gray and blue. Dimensions: height - 140.1 mm, thickness - 8.7 mm, width - 68.9 mm, weight - 131 g.

Display

The M2 Mini has a 5-inch screen with full lamination technology. This IPS-matrix received an HD-resolution of 1280x720 pixels, and also has an increased contrast. There is no air gap, which guarantees a vivid and vibrant image. There is an effective anti-glare filter that effectively fights bright sunlight. Although the viewing angles are maximum, the colors start to distort.

Iron and performance

M2 Mini is powered by MTK MT6735 quad-core processor with a maximum frequency of 1300 MHz. The graphics chip is Mali T720. Thanks to MediaTek CorePilot technology, the graphics and central processing units work together, which has a beneficial effect on performance. The operating system Android 5.1 is installed here, and there is also a Flyme OS 4.5 shell. The user can count on 2 GB of RAM. There is also 16 GB of internal memory Samsung EMMC 5.0, which is characterized by high operating speed. The device supports MicroSD cards up to 128 GB. In the AnTuTu test, this model scores over 27,000 points. Yes, you can't play demanding games on it, but everyday tasks will be solved successfully and quickly.

Communication and sound

In headphones, the sound of Meizu M2 Mini is complete delight. Here you can only find fault with the volume margin, but otherwise everything is fine with the sound. The multimedia speaker also does not differ in "sonorous singing", but the melodies sound quite clean. The interlocutor is heard quite normally. The device supports two SIM cards, both of which are capable of working in 4G networks.

Camera

The main camera in the Meizu M2 Mini is 13 megapixel. There is a flash and aperture of 2.2. The camera has an excellent white balance, the photos are full of bright colors and excellent detail. Of course, all this applies to daytime shooting, since the quality of frames deteriorates noticeably in the evening. Videos are recorded in FHD format. There is also a 5MP front camera with a useful FotoNation 2.0 feature.

conclusions

The M2 Mini seems to be a very good buy, because this inexpensive device has good cameras, a wonderful screen, high-quality sound and good stuffing at its disposal. Add to this the compact size and cute appearance that young people will surely like.

Pros:

  • Two good cameras.
  • Very decent autonomy.
  • Support for two SIM cards and LTE.
  • Miniature dimensions and nice design.
  • Really juicy display.

Minuses:

  • Prints remain on the screen.
  • You will not be able to play with maximum graphics.

In recent years, the Meizu corporation has been making active efforts to conquer the consumer market, and it should be noted that it succeeds very well. The brand produces a huge number of gadgets with a wide variety of characteristics for every taste and for every budget. Along with expensive flagship models, the company's lineup includes devices with a significantly lower cost, but at the same time little inferior to their electronic counterparts. One of these models is Meizu M2 Mini, which is reviewed in this article.

By and large, this is a budget variation of the M2 Note, designed for those who want to become the owner of a high-quality and functional smartphone, but at the same time do not want to pay extra money for additional screen inches and parameters that are not of fundamental importance.

Design

In the context of the traditional smartphone market, companies find it difficult to invent any design delights that would radically distinguish their products from the endless stream of monotonous monoblock gadgets. These are the realities of the time, and, by and large, Meizu in this case also failed to do something that goes beyond the framework established by the technical requirements. We still see a rectangular case with rounded corners, a flat front panel and a smooth transition into beveled edges at the back.

Nevertheless, the design of the M2 Mini, like the rest of the devices of the Chinese corporation, has certain proprietary features that make it possible to accurately determine the origin of the device. If you wish, you can find a certain similarity with Apple's products in this smartphone, but we are not talking about any plagiarism, Asian designers approached the matter responsibly and created their own unique thing.

The dimensions of the Meizu M2 Mini are as follows: 14 x 6.8 x 0.87 cm. Such dimensions allow you to comfortably hold the device in your hand and fully use it on the go, absolutely not straining, as is often the case with larger devices.

To prevent damage to the screen, the creators decided not to install expensive Corning protective glass, preferring the more budgetary, but high-quality Dragontail option. There is also an oleophobic coating, but it cannot be called ideal, since fingerprints on the display still remain.

High reliability of the case is ensured by magnesium alloy, from which the case base is made. But the back panel is not made of metal, but of high quality polycarbonate. The quality of materials and the level of workmanship meet the highest standards and do not indicate the budget of the smartphone.

The company offers several color options to choose from, but the gray Meizu M2 Mini looks the most presentable. Although blue, white and pink are undoubtedly also very popular colors, as they allow you to stand out from the homogeneous mass of gray-black gadgets.

Display

The developers have endowed the Meizu M2 Mini with a standard 5-inch screen, which makes it the smallest of the M and MX family, but this size is enough for all everyday functions, so that the user will not feel any discomfort.

The display is 110 millimeters long, 62 mm wide, while the indents on the sides reach only 3.5 mm, and in the upper and lower parts - 1.5 mm. The screen takes up a little more than ¾ of the dimensions of the case itself. For ease of use, an anti-reflective coating is applied.

The Meizu M2 Mini display has an HD screen resolution, that is, it has 1280 pixels on the larger side and 720 pixels on the smaller side. So there are just under 300 pixels per inch.

The screen has excellent viewing angles, but at a certain level of tilt, image distortion still occurs. In general, the picture displayed on the display is of good quality, not absolutely perfect, but without obvious flaws. Considering the price category of this device, the screen can be considered excellent in general, since many manufacturers offer weaker options for the same money.

Sound

As is the case with other Meizu gadgets, in this smartphone the sound is clearly one of the strong points. In this regard, the developers are really worth praising, because they tried to do everything so that listening to music, like ordinary talking on the phone, brings extremely positive emotions.

The installed speaker is characterized by loud and clear sound, which, even at maximum, does not produce the unpleasant effects typical of many budget smartphones. Everything here is on a level, without noise and overload. Music lovers will certainly get the highest pleasure from listening to music with headphones, since the sound quality in them goes to a new level, the maximum volume threshold also increases.

By the way, for playing music files in the Meizu M2 Mini, a proprietary player is provided, which has good functionality. Small disadvantages include the lack of an integrated radio, which the developers, as before, are neglected.

Cameras

The Meizu M2 Mini smartphone, as usual for modern mobile gadgets, is equipped with a pair of cameras: the main one - 13 megapixels and the front one - 5 megapixels. The main camera has five lenses and an f / 2.2 aperture, while the Meizu M2 Mini's selfie camera has an f / 2.0 aperture.

To obtain better pictures in low light levels, an LED flash is used. The rear camera is protected from possible damage by using a protective glass from Corning.

The images obtained with the main camera of Meizu M2 Mini are of a very high quality, with a good level of detail, adjusted white balance, and minimal noise. Focusing during photography is fast and clear.

The Meizu M2 Mini selfie camera also raises a minimum of complaints, doing an excellent job with the tasks assigned to it.

Video shooting can be carried out in full high-resolution format with a frequency of 30 frames per second, provided there is sufficient illumination and 15 frames / s, if conditions are not the best. The resulting video is of high definition and generally quite high quality. The only complaint that can be made is the insufficient viewing angle, due to which the frame is cut by about a third.

The camera has a ton of settings that you can set to your liking, including ISO, shutter speed, and more.

Memory and memory card

One of the most important indicators for modern smartphones is memory, and with this, Meizu M2 Mini is also doing well. The volume of "RAM" on this device is 2 gigabytes. Of course, today you won't surprise anyone with 3 gigabytes, however, given the price segment of this smartphone, this figure can be considered very good.

The product of the Chinese company also has no problems with the integrated memory. A standard 16 gigabyte is enough for downloading your favorite music, saving memorable vacation photos and even for several films. If this is not enough, there is a possibility to install a micro-SD-card up to 128 GB.

Communication

This device is designed for the use of two SIM-cards, and both slots support modern LTE-networks, which is not so often found in budget smartphones. True, there is one technical feature: both cards are unable to function in 4G at the same time: if one is connected, then the other automatically switches to the GSM standard. The signal reception is excellent, there are no unreasonable dropouts or floats (unless this is due to a problem with the network itself).

There is also a whole range of basic communication capabilities: WiFi in two bands (2.4 and 5 gigahertz), Bluetooth version 4.0, there is also a micro-USB-connector with support for OTG technology.

Battery life and performance

The creators decided to equip the M2 Mini with a 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery. This is quite enough to ensure the autonomous operation of the phone during the day with fairly active use, and when playing music it will be enough for almost two days. In standby mode, the battery can withstand up to 680 hours.

The high level of performance, confirmed by a number of tests, is ensured by the unique multiprocessor technology, which assumes the joint work of the central quad-core processor model MT6735 from MediaTek with the GPU Mali-T720.

operating system

The gadget is controlled by Android OS version 5.1, which has been modified by introducing the proprietary Flyme 4.5 shell, which is installed on Meizu phones. However, such creative amateur performance of Chinese developers did little for the M2 smartphone, since the original version, perhaps, looks better, more attractive and functional.

Outcome

Meizu is gradually becoming one of the main Chinese manufacturers in the portable gadget market. Its leaders made the right decision to move away from the vicious practice of copying other people's devices and releasing cheap, low-quality products, which was common among manufacturers of the Middle Kingdom in 2000. Today, the presence of the Meizu logo speaks not of the modest financial capabilities of its owner, but of the ability to count money, not overpay for the brand and the desire to stand out from the mass of owners of Samsung and Apple gadgets.

The Meizu M2 smartphone is a high-quality device with an attractive appearance and by no means mediocre characteristics at a very modest price. The device has an ergonomic design, it is convenient to use it in any situation. An undoubted advantage, as for a budget model, is support for 4G technology, which not all phones of even a higher price category can boast of. It is also worth noting the excellent quality of images obtained with the help of cameras and excellent sound produced by the built-in speakers.

In general, Meizu M2 is an excellent choice for people who need a practical, beautiful, reliable and functional phone for every day. There is nothing superfluous here, but there is everything necessary for a modern person.

Problem solved

Advantages: 1. Price (if not for the crisis, it would generally be in the region of 6-7 thousand, most likely) 2. Workmanship (no creaks, no backlash, everything is decently assembled) 3. Performance (the interface has never lagged behind two weeks, applications open without delays, etc. I did not check powerful games because I do not play them. Sea battle and checkers are going fine) (in the new version of AnTuTu (it seems the sixth) it gains about 32000 points) 4. Flyme (For me this is a definite plus. Extremely convenient shell. Especially for one-handed control. Nothing superfluous, everything is in business) 5. mBack button (another FAT PLUS! You don't even need to get used to it. This is exactly what I really wanted in Android! Just gorgeous thing!) 6. 2 Sim and LTE (well, let it be a combined slot. For me personally, this is never a problem, because again, I don’t play heavy, voluminous toys. I have 11 GB (or so) quite enough) 7. Battery (a day of active sticking of VC on Wi-Fi, with two SIM cards inside + music + plus just climbing on an Internet + hour and one and a half Skype + minutes 30 calls). I can safely leave the house with 30% or even less and not worry that it will be discharged on the road) 8. Dimensions + SCREEN 5 INCHES! (see commentary) 9. The quality of the music (it's not cosmic, but it's okay to listen to music from VK on the way somewhere, it doesn't cause disgust. I haven't downloaded FLAC yet, so I can't really say how it sounds) Disadvantages: I'll make a reservation right away that it is not flaws, but just nitpicking. So: 1. The battery is discharged from 10% to zero within 2-3 minutes (already used to it) 2. External speaker (it became sad when I put on a call the melody of one very famous Trance DJ. Although on another phone the same melody is very good And it's not just her, it's just that the external speaker is more suitable for standard pilikalok) Comment: I chose a smartphone, in principle, no more than 5 inches. Unfortunately, the choice is now limited. I myself considered 3 options: 1. Xiaomi Redmi 2 2. Huawei Honor 4C 3. Meizu m2 mini All these smartphones cost around 10 thousand rubles (Xiaomi is cheaper). Xiaomi was the first to drop out due to Russian localization and relatively weak filling (but the 4.7-inch screen attracted me very much) Honor 4C has very little internal memory (but the SIM card slot is not combined with a memory card) In addition, I read reviews about dead batteries on them (I don't know or not, maybe they have already fixed it, but I didn't want to risk it because for me battery life is one of the determining factors) So somehow I chose Meizu m2 mini and I don’t regret a ruble of money spent! A thing definitely worthwhile! The version is Chinese, but the firmware is with the letter i (you see in the store you have already reflashed it). Everything is in Russian, LTE of the new Moscow telecom operator catches normally. People, DO NOT FOLLOW THE BADGE OF THE MANUFACTURER! I myself have a lot of respect for the famous South Korean manufacturer (at home, almost all the equipment of this brand), BUT in the smartphone segment, he (like many other well-known brands) does not offer anything worthwhile in the price range of 9-12 thousand rubles. And first of all, it's not even about performance (although in it too), many users will not feel its (performance) (what difference does it make how many "parrots there are in AntuTu, if the interface does not lag, but a person other than VK, Viber, etc. does not use anything), namely in those things that the owner of the smartphone uses almost every day (interface (I want it not to lag, the screen (resolution and color rendering are better, and therefore the picture is more pleasant to the eye), camera, Internet ( speed, it would be better to LTE), and the amount of memory (to take pictures, for example, and not often throw off on a computer or in the cloud due to the lack of it). In all these parameters, this smartphone is just PERFECT (with a reservation on the cost. there is better, but then pay two or three times more.) I hope it helped those choosing!
