Hard reset for Highscreen Prime L phone. Hard reset Highscreen Prime L Reset settings Overview of Highscreen Prime L: packaging and equipment

Julia the Magnificent (PhD)

So you ask me, what should be my ideal phone? And I will answer: square, blue (well, I'm a girl!), And it should cost no more than 15 thousand rubles, because I cannot understand and accept telephones at the price of a monthly salary of an office worker. Here they correct me, of course, not with a square, but with a rectangular shape, but the shapes of all phones are now rectangular, and a square is a special case of a rectangle.

So what was my joy that I was entrusted with testing the new Highscreen Prime L smartphone. No (what does it mean no ?! - Yes! - editor's note), initially it is black, but a caring manufacturer completes this device with interchangeable back panels. You put on a blue panel - and you have a girl's smartphone, an orange one - a teenage model, a black one - and the device becomes an indispensable accessory for that very office worker. The only thing missing is the red panel for true ladies, well, here you can't please everyone with one model (I'm afraid to imagine such a lady - ed.).

In all other respects, the equipment is quite ordinary: an adapter, a wire, headphones (in my opinion, not the most convenient, but in any case I use headphones from some old ancient phone), instructions (unless, of course, in the modern world there is someone reads before the breakdown, not after).

Now, in this place, I have to write a little technical characteristics (mostly boys read Upgrade): Android 5.1 OS (I am an Android fan, so they pleased me here too); 5-inch display (for a larger size it is quite problematic to choose a case-handbag), resolution 1280x720 - the screen is bright, the colors are saturated; 4-core processor, MediaTek MT6735, 1.3 GHz (I don't really understand what this is about, but everything works quickly, without brakes); RAM size 2 GB, permanent memory size 16 GB, microSD expansion slot, compatible with SDHC.

I wrote important numbers and letters, and now I have feelings. Everything is familiar and understandable in the phone. A thin case (creaks, however, slightly if you squeeze hard, but not critical), a smooth back cover (I tested it mainly with a blue panel), power and volume buttons on the side on the right (otherwise, lately, manufacturers like to be original and shove these buttons on the left or at the back, you do it from below, so that you can completely defeat the consumer on the spot!), the charger connector is at the bottom, for the headphones at the top, I repeat, everything is very convenient.

Next, what is important to the girl? That's right, camera! Moreover, not only the main one, but also the front one (selfies have not been banned yet! - But in vain! - Ed.) The main camera is 8 MP, the front camera is 5 MP: the photos are very decent. The preinstalled viewer has a photo editing mode, you can immediately cut off the excess, adjust the brightness and contrast and apply a filter. Sometimes at work you need to quickly photograph some documents, Highscreen Prime L coped with this task well.

The battery capacity is 2300 mAh, it lives in normal mode - a little talk, a little social networks - a day and a half.

From nishtyakov - the ability to use two sim cards. True, I have had one number for 12 years, but you never know, I'll have to go somewhere abroad and get a local SIM card there. You will not need to take an additional device, FM radio, G-sensor-accelerometer with you (you can install the application - a pedometer, and not spend money on a fitness bracelet).

In general, to sum up - for 9990 rubles the device is finally normal! Works well and quickly. Pleasant to the eyes and hands. So, dear readers, if you want to please your girlfriend with a blue (or orange, or black) miracle, I think you can safely purchase this copy. Yes, and you can afford such a gift to yourself.

We will discuss all this in detail below.

How do I create a backup?

Attention! Resetting will erase all data on your Highscreen Prime L. If you have not backed up your contacts, images, videos, documents and everything else, you must do so, otherwise you will lose all personal information that was on the device.

To avoid losing your data, follow these guidelines.

Once done, you can Hard Reset Highscreen Prime L.

How to do a hard reset on the Highscreen Prime L phone from the settings menu?

Attention! Because of FRP (Factory Reset Protection, that is, protection against reset), Android will ask you to enter your account login and password, which was assigned before the Hard Reset procedure. Therefore, if you plan to sell a smartphone, you must log out of your Google account (Settings - Accounts - Google - Delete account) before resetting so that the person who receives your phone can activate his profile on it.

Given the wide range of Android phones and the difficulty of describing the factory reset process for a specific model, we will show the guide using three fundamentally different devices and firmware as examples.:

  • Mi A1 on pure Android, which is also used in Nokia, Motorola, OnePlus (has a slightly redesigned system) and in all devices released about the Android One program;
  • Galaxy S7 running Samsung Experience. Recall that the Korean corporation is the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, so it makes sense to show this shell too;
  • Redmi Note 5 on MIUI. The products of this company are in great demand in the CIS, so we could not ignore it.

The easiest way to do a Hard Reset is through a special menu in the system parameters. Note again that the location and name of the items may differ slightly depending on the phone used. The key is to find the main recovery and reset category.

Xiaomi Mi A1 (pure Android 8.1 Oreo)

The device will reboot and you will need to go through the initial setup again as if it were a new phone.

Samsung Galaxy S7 (shell Samsung Experience)

Your phone will restart. All that remains is to customize it as after purchase.

Redmi Note 5 (MIUI firmware)

Attention! As you can see, the main thing is to find the "Reset" section. In order to guarantee not to "wander" in all parameters in search of the desired menu, it is easier on the main page to enter the query "Reset" in the search box. Select the desired menu from the proposed list and you will immediately get into it. And then everything is as in the instructions.

How to perform Hard Reset Highscreen Prime L via Recovery?

This is a useful method if the phone has a problem that prevents it from loading. It is for such cases that you need a recovery mode through which you will need to perform a Hard Reset.

Upon completion of the reset, the device will reboot and display the standard welcome and settings window. Again, the menu names may differ slightly depending on the model.

Highscreen Prime L review: packaging and packaging

The smartphone comes in a box made of thick white cardboard with a classic design for Highscreen: on the front side there is a schematic cutaway of the device, indicating the main advantages. On the back of the box, the manufacturer's logo and device name are duplicated on top, and technical information, barcode and QR code are printed on the bottom.

Under the cover is the smartphone itself, placed in a molded plastic tray. Below it is the package contents: a removable 2300 mAh battery, a charger, a USB-micro-USB cable, a solid headset with in-ear headphones, as well as two replaceable back covers - black and blue, while the device itself is immediately worn brightly -orange.

Highscreen Prime L review: appearance

The smartphone is made in a classic candy bar form factor and has a neat, one might say "canonical" design. Of course, bright interchangeable covers add attractiveness to the device, but otherwise everything is standard.

The front side is almost entirely occupied by a 5-inch HD IPS screen with medium-thick bezels. Above the screen is the earpiece, and to the left of it is the front camera lens. Under the screen there are three standard Android touch buttons.

At the top of the device there is a 3.5 mm audio output, and on the bottom - a micro-USB port, which is shifted to the right edge, and a barely noticeable microphone.

On the right side there is a volume rocker and a power / lock button for the device, while the left side is empty.

The back cover contains the manufacturer's logo, the main speaker grill and the main camera lens with flash. Under the cover is a removable 2300 mAh battery, as well as two slots for micro-SIM cards and a slot for a memory card.

Highscreen Prime L review: ergonomics

The device has a compact size and a fairly thin profile, which allows you to comfortably operate the device with one hand. The power button and volume rocker are standardly located, which also has a positive effect on ergonomics - any user familiar with Android smartphones will instantly get used to the controls. The audio output is also located "classically" - on the upper end, so it will seem unusual only to owners of devices with an alternative arrangement at the bottom.

Highscreen Prime L review: screen

The smartphone is equipped with an excellent 5-inch screen on an IPS matrix with HD resolution (1280x720 pixels). The display is covered with scratch-resistant Asahi Glass Dragontrail with an oleophobic coating - fingerprints are erased in no time. The screen has the widest viewing angles, very high brightness, contrast and color saturation, which is really impressive given the low cost of the device. Sometimes even more expensive analogs have matrices that are not of such high quality.

The sensor is quite sensitive, recognizes up to five simultaneous touches, it works clearly and without errors - there were no accidental clicks and false positives.

The screen is made using In-Cell technology, i.e. without an air gap and, coupled with a high-quality IPS-matrix, it looks just fine, despite the far from being the thinnest side frames. In general, the screen is one of the main advantages of the Prime L smartphone, thanks to which it feels not like a budget model, but a device of a higher class.

Highscreen Prime L review: interface

The device runs on a "pure" Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, without any add-ons or add-ons.

The desktops, application menus, notification shade and quick access bar - nothing has changed, and we have a classic and very fast Android 5.1.

Dialing and messaging interfaces have not changed either.

Highscreen Prime L review: device in operation

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor (1.3 GHz) with a Mali-T720 graphics accelerator. This solution provides a good performance for a budget device - it works very quickly, the interface “flies”, desktops switch smoothly.

In the synthetic AnTuTu test, the device scored an honest 32,475 points - an "average" indicator for the market, but at the same time, this is quite enough for comfortable work with applications and various games.

The device coped with the graphically "light" Doodle Jump DC Super Heroes without any problems and produced a stable 60 fps.

In the more advanced, from a graphical point of view, Relic Run, the smartphone also consistently showed about 60 fps.

Difficult in terms of device performance requirements, games - World of Tanks: Blitz and Godfire launched flawlessly. In both games, the device produced a comfortable 30 fps. No freezes or slowdowns were noticed.

There were also no problems with Full HD video playback, when playing both through the built-in application and through the popular MX Player.

I would also like to note the sound quality in the headphones. No extraneous noise or wheezing was noticed, even at maximum volume. The crisp highs and rich bass are sure to delight music lovers.

Also, a pleasant impression was left by the work of the spoken speaker and microphone, since the interlocutor is heard clearly, without distortion and wheezing, even in a noisy street near the roadway or in the subway.

Highscreen Prime L review: camera

The device is equipped with two cameras: the main 8 megapixel (with autofocus, touch focus and LED flash) and the front 5 megapixel.

In general, the standard Android 5.1 camera application has some additional functions. It has various effect filters and shooting modes (retouch, HDR, note, pro, filter, night, burst, panorama, smart scene, scanner, ultra -details ”, GIF and“ normal ”- standard auto photography mode).

The front camera provides good quality pictures, which is quite enough for taking selfies and comfortable work in video conference mode. Various shooting modes and filters work, and just like with the main camera, there is also a face recognition function.

The main camera of the smartphone, despite the relatively low resolution of the matrix (8 megapixel), in good lighting produces pictures of a sufficiently high quality. In addition, the camera allows for continuous shooting at high frames per second, which gives very impressive results. Just hold down the shutter button to automatically take a series of pictures.

The camera allows you to shoot videos in Full HD (1080p / 25 fps). The result is decent.

In general, the impressions from using both cameras of the device are positive, with a small discount on the fact that the smartphone is still a budget one. I was pleasantly surprised by the burst photography mode - it definitely won't be superfluous.

Highscreen Prime L review: wireless interfaces

The device is equipped with a standard set of wireless communication modules and supports two micro-SIM cards. In the talk mode, the second SIM card goes into standby mode - everything is standard. There are no complaints about working in 3G and LTE networks, the reception quality depends more on the telecom operator.

The Wi-Fi module supports 802.11 b / g / n standards and provides reliable signal reception, both when working in a home network and in public places.

The device is also equipped with a Bluetooth 4.0 module for connecting external peripherals, for example, a wireless headset or a speakerphone for a car. Signal transmission is quite stable at a distance of up to 20 meters.

A plus is the support of two satellite systems - GPS and GLONASS - which ensures reliable signal reception at a high speed of movement in a car, even in cloudy weather with overcast clouds. With a cold start, the search for satellites takes 40-45 seconds. There were also no problems with navigation - the test was carried out in the popular Yandex.Navigator application and the results did not disappoint at all.

Highscreen Prime L review: battery life

The smartphone is equipped with a removable battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh - the indicator is not the most impressive, but among budget devices there are often devices with a lower battery capacity.

In practice, thanks to not too "gluttonous" hardware and "clean" OS without add-ons, the device is able to stay in working order for a long time.

In standby mode, the smartphone could not be completely discharged even in four days, despite the fact that all communication modules, except GPS, were turned on.

When watching movies at maximum screen brightness and speaker volume, the device keeps afloat for more than six hours. With active use of the device as a game console - from three to five hours, depending on the load. For example, an hour of trails in Asphalt 8 "took" 17% of the battery charge. When listening to music, the average battery life was about eight hours.

Based on the results of tests, we can say with confidence that the battery charge with a margin will be enough for a whole working day with active use.

If the user is going on a long trip without access to an outlet, nothing prevents him from purchasing a spare battery for timely replacement of a dead battery. Therefore, in general, the impressions of the autonomy of the smartphone are only positive, for which the device receives another "plus in the piggy bank".

Highscreen Prime L review: summary

I would like to note that during the entire test period Highscreen Prime L pleasantly surprised me with its functionality, as well as very smooth and fast operation, both when using standard applications and when testing the multimedia capabilities of the device. The Prime L smartphone is a versatile workhorse. Due to its compact size and light weight, it is perfect for both men and women. Multi-colored back covers add vibrant color to the design of the device.
