The Smart MTS tariff has the following disadvantages:

1. The package of minutes available within the tariff for calls to numbers of other operators (500 minutes in most regions) is spent not only when communicating with subscribers of other networks, but also when making calls to MTS numbers outside the home region. After the package is exhausted, calls to MTS Russia will still remain free, but you will have to pay for communication with subscribers of other networks.
2. If you have recently changed your tariff, then you will have to pay extra for switching to Smart. In addition to paying a subscription fee, another 200 rubles will be removed from the account.
3. Smart tariff cannot be used in modems or routers. If you insert a SIM card with a tariff into the modem, you will not be able to fully use the Internet. The speed will be limited to the lowest possible value. Given the size of the Internet traffic package, it is difficult to call this disadvantage significant, but you should be aware of this limitation.
4. After the monthly Internet package provided at the tariff has been exhausted, the subscriber will automatically be connected to additional Internet packages within the "Additional Smart Internet" option until the basic package is renewed at the tariff. The volume of the additional package is 500 MB and will cost you 75 rubles.
5. When in the Sakhalin Oblast, Norilsk, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Oblast and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, the speed within the included 3 GB volume is limited to 128 Kbit / s.
6. If the subscriber's balance becomes equal to or below zero (but not less than minus 300 rubles), then within the next 61 days he will only have access to incoming calls, receiving SMS and calls to MTS service numbers. In this case, during the specified period, the service of the group "Unlimited call forwarding from direct number" / "Sovintel service" / "TCC service" is charged off in full. If after this period your balance does not exceed the value of 0.01 rubles, the possibility of receiving these services is terminated.
7. Failure to receive funds on the personal account of the subscriber within 61 days after the expiration of the above 61-day period in an amount sufficient to achieve a positive balance on the personal account, or the subscriber's failure to use paid services for a period of 61 days, will mean a unilateral refusal of the subscriber from execution of the contract.
8. From 20.01.2016, when connecting and switching to the Smart tariff, the "MTS Music" service is automatically connected. The service is provided free of charge and is valid for 30 days. The operator promises to automatically turn off the service after the free period, but we advise you not to rely on the operator and do it yourself if you do not need this service.
