Working with the utility

To completely remove the application, follow these steps:


  1. Download the kavremvr.zip archive and then unpack it (for example, using the WinZip archiver program). Or download the executable file kavremvr.exe.

  2. Run the kavremvr.exe file by double clicking on it with the left mouse button.

  3. Read the License Agreement of Kaspersky Lab. Read the agreement carefully and if you agree with all of its clauses, click I agree.



  1. In the window Kaspersky Lab Products Remover enter the security code in the empty field, which is shown in the picture. If the code is not clearly visible, to re-generate the code, click on the refresh button to the right of the picture.

  2. Select from the menu The following products were found a Kaspersky Lab application that was installed on your computer. Click on Delete... If several Kaspersky Lab products are installed on the computer, select and uninstall them one by one. You can select the program to remove from the list of all products supported by the uninstall utility, for this:

    • Run the kavremvr utility via the command line in manual selection mode, with the nodetect parameter:

    • kavremvr.exe --nodetect.

    • Select the required program from the list and uninstall it. If there are several such programs, uninstall them one by one.




  1. Removal may take some time. Wait until a dialog box appears with a message that the product has been successfully removed and click OK.



  1. Restart your computer.

Additional information (corporate products)

When uninstalling Network Agent 10 or Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10/10 CF1 / 10 SP1 MR2 for Windows, you may need to specify a password. For this:


  1. Run the utility from the command line with the parameter

  2. kavremvr.exe --password-for-uninstall:% PASSWORD% --MSIPARAM: KLLOGIN \u003d% login%where:

    Error 1001

    Error 1002

    Products that cause an error when uninstalling: Kaspersky Network Agent 10 CF1, Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10/10 CF1 / 10 SP1 MR2
    Reason: a password for uninstallation was set for the specified products, but the user did not enter the password in the command line.



    Error 1003
    An error may occur when uninstalling any Kaspersky Lab product.
    Reason: KAVRemover is launched from a directory that contains non-ASCII characters in its path from a localization different from the current Windows localization. For example, such a situation may arise if the username is specified in non-Latin letters, and the user runs the utility from his desktop.

How to disable password for uninstalling an application, shutting it down, or changing settings

Disabling the password for a Kaspersky Lab application is possible only in Windows safe mode. More details in step 5.

  1. Download the archive with the utility to disable the password.
  2. Go to the archive folder.

Download the archive KLAPR.zip and unpack the files from the archive. Then, restart your computer at. Run the file KLAPR.bat and, after starting the command line, press any key on the keyboard.

Restart your computer in. Run the file kaspersky_2007_2012_pass_reset.bat and, after the command line appears, press any key on the keyboard.

How to remove Kaspersky if you forgot your password

Removing the password was easy enough. For this:

1. We reboot the computer and go into safe mode (when starting the computer, press F8, before loading Windows). We select the very first item Safe mode.

Normally reset password on kaspersky will not work.

2. When we boot into safe mode, you need to go to the folder with Kaspersky. Usually the paths are:

3. Go to the folder, find the avp file (extension.exe) and rename it, for example, to 1.exe


Now we reboot, the computer will turn on as usual. We launch Kaspersky from the folder in which you renamed it and go to the settings.


Now in the settings of Kaspersky go to the parameters and uncheck the password protection and self-defense.


Click OK and unload the Kaspersky. By clicking the exit in the tray.

We go into the folder and rename it back to avp.exe. If the exe extension is not displayed, then simply rename it to avp.
