Browser themes smear. Dark theme for Firefox. Search and installation process

By constantly using our browser, we understand that sometimes some changes are needed, both visually and functionally.

Various design themes allow you to do this. You can choose any background that is interesting and cute to you, for example, cars, girls, favorite actors and the like in your browser Mozilla Firefox.

You can partially or completely change your Internet browser: controls, new built-in functions. All you have to do is select and install the desired theme. We will now find out how to do this in Firefox.

Search and installation process

We are looking for and installing a visual theme we like (you can also read about installing themes):

  1. First you need to go to the settings of the add-ons themselves. To do this, click on the button in the upper right corner of the page (as shown in the picture) and select the "Add-ons" item.
  2. On the page that opens, select the section titled "Selected Topics" and click on the local link "Show All".

Advice! Naturally, in order to find topics and do all of the above, you need to have access to the Internet.

  3. You are now taken to the official Firefox Add-ons site. Here you can find everything that interests you. Search criteria are very diverse:
  4. To search for something specific, you must enter in the text field, which is located in the upper right corner of the page, the title or keyword what you are looking for.
  5. Otherwise, you can choose what interests you in any of the available categories.
  6. By clicking on the selected, you go to the page of this particular add-on. Here you can see all the information you are interested in, as well as install the theme itself. To do this, click on the green "Add to Firefox" button.

Advice! You can see how the theme will look without installing it. To do this, simply move the mouse cursor over the picture (highlighted in red) and the browser panel will turn to the new kind (temporarily, of course).

As a result, a message will be displayed stating that the design has been changed.

Management and theme change

Important! To manage all installed add-ons of this type, go to the "appearance" tab.

Here you see the themes installed by you (or someone else) and can delete them, enable and disable them (how to delete firefox extensions can be read). It is also possible to see additional information using the "More details" link for other functions. All this is done using the respective function keys.

So, just now we have reviewed the procedure for finding and installing new themes on the Mozilla Firefox browser. As you can see, this is not difficult to do. I hope the information I have provided will be useful to you and help you save time. Good luck to all!

Themes for Mozila. Where to download and how to install.

There are different ways to change the look of your browser. I'll tell you about two of them.

Free themes for Mozilla Firefox

The theme will completely change the design of your browser. This is done very simply. It is enough to go to the add-ons site in the topic section. Select a category and start browsing topics.

After the topic you like, you can download and install in firefox.

Installation.

After installation, restart the browser and see a new one firefox decoration.

If you don't like the theme, you can easily delete it. To do this, go to Tools - Addons - Appearance ... Choose a theme and click Delete.

This is what matters. Themes completely change the design of the browser. But there is another tool that partially changes the appearance of Mozila - this is an add-on for Mozila - Personas.

Add-on for Mozila Personas

Add-ons or they are also called plug-ins are some extensions or gadgets that make your browser more functional. Read more in this post.

Personas add-on changes the skin of the Mozilla Firefox browser. I am using this particular plugin. Notice what the top of my browser looks like. It is designed in Mozilla style.

There are skins on a variety of topics. In general, the tastes of many users are taken into account.

The add-on can be downloaded and installed here at this link. Read how to install the add-on. After installing an add-on in the add-ons panel ( if you see it, if not, go to View - Toolbar there, check the add-ons panel) the face of a chanterelle will appear. If you click on it, a menu will appear in which you can select the skin.

And what is interesting is that it is enough to bring the mouse to the thumbnail of the skin and it is immediately loaded into the browser, but not installed. Those. there is a view mode. If you like it, then just click on the thumbnail of the skin and it will be installed.

The skins can also be viewed on the Personas website. The variety is enormous.

These are the goodies and decorations.

Not only many familiar extensions stopped working, but also the design themes. In particular, we have lost a few great dark themes that were very popular.

For example, the topic FT DeepDark from the author steva interested more than 11 thousand users. However, now next to it, as well as in front of many other themes, in the official catalog is the inscription: "This add-on is incompatible with your version of Firefox."

It's a shame. However, today we decided to remind you that Firefox has built-in themes, including dark.

Turn on the dark theme

If you did not know this at all before, then finding these topics will not be difficult. Open the main and go to the "edit" section.

At the bottom of the tab that opens, there is a button that hides the theme selection menu. There are several options, including a light theme, a green "pastel gradient" and a light brown "web browser renaissance". There is also a blue theme with stars called "space fantasy". But we are interested in the Firefox dark theme:

By the way, if you don't like the changes you made and want to return to the original design, then the standard Firefox theme, as you can see, is located there. Sometimes, when changing themes, its name changes to English Default. Don't worry: this is the same basic default theme.

But back to the dark. This is how it looks:

The active tab is dark, background tabs are even darker (closer to the black theme). The entire toolbar also becomes completely dark and address bar... The menu and other interface elements, however, remain the same.

Also, remember that starting with version 57 you can resize interface elements:

As a result, this is how the dark theme will look in its compact form:

By reducing the "header" of the browser and all the icons on it, the interface will take up less space, and the round "back" button will be replaced with a rectangular one.

To add variety to the work with Internet browsers, it is recommended to use different design styles that can be downloaded and installed from the Internet. There is a nice addition for the Firefox browser as a tool for changing skins built into the program.

You will need

Instructions

Today, there are two common ways to change the theme for firefox browsers: use the built-in utility or download new styles from the Internet. The first method is more universal, because does not require a search for the pages of the site on which the searched elements are located.

Launch the browser by double clicking on the shortcut on the desktop or panel quick launch... In the main program window, click top Menu "Tools", from the list of commands, select "Add-ons".

On the download page, click the Get Add-ons button on the left side of the window. With an available Internet connection, after a few seconds, the window will display several categories of browser applications. Pay attention to the right column, it contains elements, one of which is "Recommended wallpaper". Usually this element comes after "Thanks for using ..." and "Gaining popularity".

Continuing our favorite cycle, I would like to urgently release another article, connected, this time, not only with comfort, but also with aesthetic pleasure from working with Mozilla Firefox. Actually, the fact is that recently a whole, so to speak, section of additions called Personas came out.

In fact, this is one add-on designed to personalize and decorate your FF in every possible way (by FF I mean Mozilla FireFox), making your stay in it even more comfortable and pleasant.

Personas is a beautiful Firefox extension

Actually, what is Personas. This is an add-on that allows you to attach skins to FF. No, no - not themes, but skins. Themes are more likely something global, changing icons, scroll bar, block format, etc., etc., and skins ..

Skins are a kind of war paint that clings on top of any theme and makes the browser pleasantly different. A sort of wallpaper, just not for the desktop, but for the browser. And all would be fine, but the fact is that these skins exist (at the time of this writing) as much as 37,000, and they change simply and clearly - with a light click of the mouse. Moreover, by simply hovering over the picture of the skin, you will immediately see how it will look, which allows you to quickly and simply choose what you like best. Honestly, I somehow did not expect that by going to the page for choosing these very skins, I would sit there for about half an hour, trying to choose what I like most and the point is not that I don’t like anything - on the contrary, the choice is so huge, that I like a lot, and switching is so easy that I was greatly carried away by this entertaining process :)

In general, I will not keep you ranting - go and try! :)

Installation

First, install the plugin itself:

  • To install the addon, go to its page, namely.
  • Click on the green button " Get Personas For FireFox - Free
  • In the pop-up window, wait three (or five, I don't remember) seconds and press the "Install" button
  • After completing the installation, press the button “ Restart FireFox”Or restart the browser manually.
  • Installation completed.

Now go to the page with skins, i.e. , and move the mouse over the picture of any skin. We just point, no need to click. Then we wait a little, see if we like the new look or not. If you like it, press the left mouse button on the place where you held the mouse and press the button "". If you don't like it, then move the mouse to another skin, look and so on in a circle until you choose what you like :)
I recommend digging into the Solid section - there are nicer topics because they are not overwhelmed with pictures, but to each his own;)
