What is Alexa Rank?

What is the Role of Alexa Ranking?

All companies that are related to internet marketing are determined to improve their rankings. The public is attracted in different ways these days. Some prefer to have a good place on the search engine results page, while others strive to ensure that their site is viewed by as many users as possible. In any case, everyone achieves financial success in their own way.

While some webmasters believe that ranking high on Google is the only way to make themselves known (to become recognizable), and thus achieve their goal, there are others who believe that a good place in the Alexa ranking system can be a real symbol of success.

This is a rating system created by alexa. com (derived from amazon.com), which mainly controls the traffic of users to various Websites. The algorithm by which the rating is calculated is quite simple. It is based on the number of visitors who have had the Alexa toolbar installed for at least 3 months.
Visitor traffic is based on two indicators: the number of visitors and the number of pages viewed. The number of visitors refers to the number of users who visit a particular site per day. The number of pages viewed, as the name suggests, refers to the number of times a page has been viewed by Alexa users.

Alexa. com keeps track of everything thoroughly. So, if an individual visitor visits the same page several times a day, all his visits will be regarded as one.
In the first step of determining the rating, the daily number of visitors and viewed pages of all sites on the network is calculated.

Getting started is easy enough! All you have to do is visit alexa.com website and download / install the toolbar (Alexa panel). The toolbar serves as a search function, but mainly displays the ranking of the visited site, as well as the sites that were visited that have something to do with the site visited.
The Alexa dashboard not only displays information, but also sends data to the main server.

Thus, every time you visit a web page through a web browser (be it IE, Opera or Firefox), information is sent to the server indicating your IP and the page you are viewing. This data is collected from all users who have installed the Alexa bar.

Homepages or blogs are perceived and evaluated under the same conditions as regular websites. They even have an identification mark (*) (in the form of an asterisk).

Alexa Rank is a foreign ranking system, which is based on calculating the total number of page views of a site and its frequency of visits, and, in fact, is an indirect indicator of traffic to a certain resource. Why indirect? Yes, because this indicator does not reflect the number of visitors who came to the site per day. In general, the Alexa Rank system is a kind of top in which web resources are located according to their attendance. The indicator itself is calculated based on the number of visitors to the site within three months (the position of the resource in the rating is also updated - once every three months). Here it must be said that the lower the indicator in the system, the more popular the web project is.

A bit of history

In those days, when only Larry Page and Sergey Brin still thought how to conquer planet Earth, and the Internet giant Google existed only in thoughts, a project called alexa.com was already launched. The history of this project goes back to 1996. And it all started with the fact that Bruce Gilliath and Brewster Kale created the Alexa Internet company and began to offer users to install a toolbar from their company (Alexa Toolbar) in the browser, which collected data on the attendance of certain web resources, the number of pages on sites, and See also information about search queries.
The obtained statistics "Alexa Traffic Rank" was transmitted to the server, where it was processed, giving each site its own rating. After that, users could see web projects in order of their usefulness (relevance). Along with this, the Alexa Toolbar also tracked visitor activity, i.e. transitions to other projects or transitions through the pages of one resource.

How the system works

Such statistics are collected to this day, the information is analyzed and the Alexa ranking is constantly updated. In order to check the Alexa Rank, you can download the toolbar itself from the alexa.com site itself, and after that, on the browser panel, you can see the rating of a particular site, including yours, if you have one. By the way, for Google Chrome, there are various extensions from the Alexa system that replace the toolbar.
The statistical information in Alexa Rank is compiled based on the following data:

    • Search traffic of a web resource;
    • The number of visits to the site pages by users;
    • Duration of visitors' stay on the resource;
    • The number of pages viewed by visitors;
    Bounce rate.

That is, this rating provides the most accurate and fairly objective information about the popularity of a particular web project. The statistics of any site, moreover, can be viewed only when the Alexa Rank is no more than 100,000. The only drawback of this system is that many users in Runet do not have such a toolbar installed in their browsers.

What is Alexa Traffic Rank for?

    • 1. This indicator on such large exchanges as TLA, is the only and main one for determining the price of sold links;

2. The majority of Russian-speaking and absolutely all foreign advertisers look at this indicator before placing their ad;

3. Large companies engaged in website optimization, as well as free flight webmasters, acquire link mass, given Alex's rating;

4. Imagine and imagine such a situation when they took and canceled the TIC and PR, about this, by the way, rumors have already spread on the Internet. What ranking factor will link exchanges rely on then? Here the answer is obvious and simple - on Alexa Rank, of course, it has long been adopted by exchanges abroad;

5. In addition to all of the above, you can analyze competitors in your niche.

It should be noted that Alex's rating is mainly influenced by two factors: the Reach parameter - the number of visitors and Page Views - the pages viewed (number). Reach - Provides information about the percentage of all Internet visitors who have visited a specific site. For example, if yahoo.com has a Reach parameter of about 25%, this means that of the total number of Internet users measured by Alex Rank's system, 25 percent visited this resource. Note that multiple clicks from the same URL by one user and in one day (the path will be 5-10 clicks) Alexa counts as one click (one page view). To view statistics and see the Alexa Rank of your site, you can use the link:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/www.avtocarnews.com

What other data is present on this page:

Reach Yesterday - the number of site visitors / the total number of those who visited the site for the previous day;
Reach 1wk. Avg - the number of all visitors who have been on the site over the past week;
Reach 3mos. Avg - the number of all visitors who have visited the site over the past three months;
Reach 3mos. Change - shows the data how the number of visitors over the past three months differs from the date that was recorded three months ago.

You can also look at other indicators besides Reach by time intervals, which are under the above tabs.

The headings in the screenshot above mean:

Alexa Traffic Rank

    • - this is the rating itself, in person. It is calculated by the ratio of the average number of site visitors and the number who visited this resource over the past three months;

2. Traffic Rank in Is, in fact, an indicator of the popularity of a project in one particular country. It is calculated according to the results of the ratio of the average number of visitors per day for one country and the number of visits for the last three months;

3. Sites Linking In - the number of links from domains that link to a specific resource. All data is updated every three months.

What is Alexa Rank for

It seemed that since Alexa Rank didn’t influence the search engine results in any way, then there was no point in it. But nevertheless, good positions in the rating give good advantages to the site, for example, if you sell advertising space on your project. Since the system collects statistical data from all over the world wide web, it is possible, and talk about the international status of your site, based on this indicator. The lower this number, the better the rank in Alexa, the maximum number 1 is assigned, of course, by Google.com.

Benefits of the Alexa Rank indicator:

    • 1. The highest price for advertising on a resource with a lower Alexa Rank;

2. If the site got into the first 100,000 projects in Alex's rating, then we can talk about a guarantee of good indexing in almost all foreign search engines;

3. Projects located in this system are automatically entered into the largest general "Internet - archive" - \u200b\u200bweb.archive.org.

4. All foreign exchanges of articles and links rely on the Alex indicator in their work. And in some of them, this is a decisive factor and the main indicator of the authority of a resource on the Internet.

5. In addition, it will never be superfluous to have another good indicator, besides

Therefore, while optimizing your site, checking the Alexa Rank and taking this indicator into account will serve you as an objective assessment of your site in the world ranking of sites in the Internet space. A good position can significantly increase the cost of ad space on your site.

How you can improve your Alexa Rank

Remember that Alex's Rank should not be increased; on the contrary, it should be decreased. And for this you need to increase your website traffic. But it is interesting how the Alexa system itself receives the necessary information about the attendance of web resources, when, moreover, many webmasters do not put on their sites, but also do not collect and are not going to collect information from hundreds of attendance services (for example, liveinternet, etc. .). All information is provided by the visitors themselves, by installing either the Alexa Rank Toolbar or an appropriate extension in their browsers. This toolbar can be downloaded and installed from the site itself:

How it all looks: by installing this toolbar in your browser, you go to any resource, this extension will determine which project you are visiting and then send information to the system. And you thereby lower the Alexa Rank of your chosen site and increase its position in the TOP of the system.

To check the Alexa Rank, as well as to increase the site's position in the TOP (hence, to decrease the indicator), you should use a number of simple methods:

Content

    • ... Write high-quality and unique content, and this will significantly increase both the traffic of the resource and its position in the rating;

Navigation... Eye-catching and noticeable navigation buttons can increase the number of clicks on your site. The more transitions, the higher the positions;

Visitors... You need to strive to attract as many users to the site as possible who have installed the Alexa Rank Toolbar;

Alexa Rank... Install a widget from the system on your dashboard, this will help you check the Alexa Rank when needed;

Traffic... Increase traffic with the help of competent SEO optimization, as well as buying banners, links, etc. You can buy foreign traffic, their users have basically all already installed such a toolbar in their browsers;

SMO and SMM... Integration and promotion of the project in social networks will help to increase the audience of your site.

In conclusion, it remains to add that the system may simply not take into account the huge number of visitors from Russian-language resources, since, again, not all users have a toolbar. But most importantly, work on increasing traffic and, thus, Alex's indicator will decrease before our eyes, and the site will move on the contrary up in the TOP of the system. This will naturally increase yours from your own site.
I wish you success in your development!

Greetings, dear visitors of "Webmaster's Notes"! I am in touch with you again, Sergey Saranchin.

Did you know that besides the well-known indicators and PR, there is one more indicator. And by the way, no less important than these two.

It is assigned to each web resource on the Internet and is called alexa traffic rank. In blogging, these three indicators (TIC, PR and Alexa Rank) are usually called "puzomerki". The larger the "belly", the more authoritative the resource.

If we compare Alex's rank with TIC and Page Rank, then we can say that this indicator is less known and few people look at it on our RuNet. But its popularity is gaining momentum every year, and its importance is being reckoned with, so I decided on this topic.

What is Alexa Rank?

What is Alexa rank? To answer this question, you need to delve into the Internet and find out the origins. Alexa Internet was founded several years ago.

According to Wikipedia, the highly respected web encyclopedia, in 1996 Brewster Cale and Bruce Gilliath founded the Alexa Internet company. The headquarters of this company was in the USA (California).

This company became recognizable due to the fact that it collected many other web resources using a special for the browser called the Alexa Toolbar. This plugin was distributed free of charge to all Internet users.

The Alexa Toolbar was used to generate traffic statistics for all web resources. The traffic information came from visitors who went to different ones and who installed this plugin.

Many of you will probably ask why you need to install the Alexa Toolbar? I will answer this question, but later. Read on for this article and find out my opinion. Well, I'll continue to tell you about the Alexa Rank indicator.

Indeed, Alexa Rank is not a very important indicator on the Runet in comparison with the TIC and PR indicators. However, it demonstrates traffic statistics well and shows the activity of visitors to your blog.

It is these facts that make advertisers pay attention to this indicator lately. Well, SEOs are working to reduce it and make it minimal. Indeed, everyone wants to reduce it, not increase it. It's not a mistake. The lower the Alexa rank of a site or blog, the better.

Alexa rank is initially a kind of ranking throughout the Internet. It indirectly evaluates each web resource about its attendance and displays it as a certain value, which is measured in the range from one billion to one.

A web resource with an indicator equal to one, according to Alexa Rank, is considered the most visited resource of those that are present on the Internet.

Alexa traffic rank is not calculated using super-complex algorithms such as CY or PR. Its main indicator is calculated on the behavior of visitors to your web resource.

Therefore, the activity of your blog users (in the form of commenting on articles, page views) improves Alex's score. It is for this reason that sites and blogs that have a large traffic, Alex Rank's indicator is small in size.

Why do you need Alexa traffic rank

I would like to highlight two main nuances for assessing the need for this indicator.

  • There are quite a number of different ratings on the Internet that take into account the Alexa traffic rank indicator. Therefore, these ratings will increase with the improvement of this indicator. And this, in turn, though not strongly, but will affect your resource in the form of an increase in traffic.
  • When selling links from your blog (if you plan to do this), the Alexa traffic rank will also be important and will affect for the better. You will be able to sell the link for a higher price.

But too high Alex's score will scare SEOs. They will hardly want to post a link on a web resource with such an indicator. Most SEOs, before buying a link to their blog, analyze the donor site and research all of its indicators, and Alexa rank is also among them.

For example, in the exchange for buying and selling links RotaPost, there is an Alexa rank indicator when analyzing a donor site:

How to check the Alexa Rank of a website

In order to check the site alexa rank follow this link:

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/your site

The Alexa traffic rank shows how your web resource is ranked around the world. This indicator is the average of the previous three months, but is recalculated every day.

According to this, my resource at this place in the ranking:

My blog made it into the top 200,000 web resources in the global Alex Rank ranking. This is a pretty good result.

Now I want to tell you about a special plugin Alexa Toolbar. I already spoke about it at the beginning of my article. But I would like to dwell on this point in more detail.

What information does Alexa Toolbar provide

Alexa Toolbar collects statistics for all resources. With the help of this extension, the analysis of traffic, as well as the activity of visitors to each web resource, is performed.

After that, the received information is sent to a special server where this data is processed. Ultimately, you end up with a large list of all sites and blogs.

According to the results of statistics, each resource is awarded a certain value. The main Alexa rank will depend on this value.

It turns out quite interesting. Information on all web resources is actually provided by ordinary visitors to these resources who have the Alexa Toolbar extension installed in their browser.

Indeed, this extension is not so popular among visitors to the Russian Internet, but webmasters have recently been very actively installing it in their browsers and using it. And information about visitors to resources will be much more accurate if a larger number of users install this extension.

The trick is that if you install the Toolbar extension in your browser and go to your blog, then by doing so you will improve the Alexa rank for your web resource. The Alexa Toolbar records the activity of all visitors, even if the author himself visits the web resource.

Here is the alignment. And the more visitors who have this extension installed will come to your blog, the lower your Alexa traffic rank will become. So that's it.

If you are anxious to find out information about who is currently in the first place in the list of the global rating for Alex, then visit this page:

http://www.alexa.com/topsites

On it you can see the first 500 resources of the global ranking, from the first to the five hundredth.

So, in the first place is the Google search engine. Well, the following web resources are in the top five. See for yourself:

Let's now take a look at the Russian-language ranking of sites and blogs by Alexa rank. Click on this link:

http://www.alexa.com/topsites/countries/RU

So. As we can see here our Yandex is in the lead, and the Google search engine takes the third place:

What interesting and useful information can be provided by the Alexa Toolbar? In theory, if you seriously dig around here, you can find many interesting chips. But I will not go further, as my goal is to tell you about Alexa rank, and to show you the main features of this cool program. Maybe I will explore other possibilities of it and write an article on this topic in the future.

If you are eager to find out more information that the Alexa Toolbar has, you can do it without my help.

With the help of the Alexa Toolbar, you can navigate, see advanced statistics of visits and where your web resource is in relation to other sites and blogs. But don't flatter yourself, friends. Such statistics are available only for resources with an Alex rank of 100,000 or less. For me, as you have already seen, it is equal to 156682. It's too early for me to dream about it, but there is something to strive for!

How to download and install Alexa Toolbar

To download the Alexa Toolbar, follow this link:

http://www.alexa.com/toolbar

To start downloading the plugin, click the Install Alexa Toolbar button:

Then follow the instructions to install the plugin. Everything is clear here, as it is written in detail and step by step, and besides, in the native Russian language. After the installation is complete, the browser will ask you to restart. Next, the following icon will appear in the browser panel:

Now, to see the Alexa traffic rank for any site you are currently visiting, just click on this icon and this window will appear:

In addition, there are indicators such as, the number of on this site. There is also a cool option called the Wayback Machine. If you click on it and select the save date, you can see how this or that web resource looked in the past. Cool and useful option, between us.

How to downgrade (improve) Alexa traffic rank

Well, now I want to give you some tips to help you lower your Alexa traffic rank.

  • Install the Alexa Toolbar extension to your browser. You already know its main functions, and it seems to me that it will not be superfluous to have additional statistics for you. In addition, you can recommend this plugin to your visitors and your web resource. After each user arrives with this extension installed in the browser, the rating of your blog will decrease.

You can also improve your Alexa rank yourself. To do this, you just need to spend a certain amount of time on your blog, while viewing different posts and pages. The fact is that the Alexa Toolbar extension counts all users without exception (even the blog author) in the statistics.

  • In addition to this extension, there are other widgets:

If you install any of these widgets on your blog, then this will also lower Alex Rank's score. Visitors to your blog will lower the rate when they click on this widget. To access them, go to this page:

http://www.alexa.com/siteowners/widgets
  • Try to motivate your visitors to leave comments on your blog. Reward active readers of your blog with various gifts. Organize different ones, do polls and all kinds of promotions.
  • Create a literate and high-quality blog without. Thanks to linking, the number of user clicks on blog posts and pages will increase.
  • Try to attract visitors with the Alexa Toolbar extension installed, as these are the users who improve the statistics. This can be done by commenting on the forums on your own and leaving announcements of articles in social networks for webmasters.

That's all. My Alexa rank article is coming to an end. I hope you find this information useful and will actively use it. Now you know that there is another indicator - Alexa traffic rank and you have information on how to improve it. See you in new articles and look forward to your comments. While.

Are you promoting your site? Do you want to know what your project looks like among millions of other pages? Are you interested in being constantly aware of the ranking positions of your site in relation to competitors? Do you need to look ahead and predict at least a little the dynamics of website development? If the answer is yes, then all you have to do is just take and
go to alexa.com !

In this article we will talk about the main features Alexa.com and we will explain some terms that cause understandable difficulties for those who are poorly familiar with English seo terminology.

Let's start with a small historical overview.

It so happened that being a mega-useful service, alexa.com has practically no competitors to this day - a number of circumstances contributed to this state of affairs, but the main reason is that statistics of such a large scale can only be collected by such companies that are fully integrated. into the personal computers of regular Internet visitors.

Let's give an example.

Have you ever scanned your newly installed Windows with an anti-spyware program called Adaware? If so, you should have noticed that the only " spyware"that this scanner found was a small module integrated into the Internet Explorer browser - this is a piece of alexa.com on your machine. Alexa.com officially claims that all data is taken exclusively from the so-called alexa toolbar, but throughout apparently, this source provides only a certain proportion of statistics, while the bulk of the information is obtained through close communication with popular products from Microsoft (and, of course, other manufacturers - for example, Google).

Alexa.com was created in 1996 by two American engineers - Bruce Gilliath (Bruce Gilliat) and Brewster Calais (Brewster Kahle). The latter, among other things, is now one of the directors of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a non-profit human rights organization that monitors the civil rights of Internet users.

  • At the dawn of its activity, Alexa.com was directly involved in creating Wayback machine (Time Machine). The Wayback Machine is an Internet archive that collects all the data that has ever appeared on the web. With this thing, you can see how this or that site looked 5 or 10 years ago. In 20-30 years, information from this database will be incredibly popular. The archive site is located.

    In addition to various projects, Alexa was actively developing a special toolbar - having installed it on their browser, the user received advice on where to go next from this or that page. This data was taken from the user community, which at all times has been a generator of boilerplate behavior. alexa toolbar did one more thing - it showed the context of the visited site, i.e. where is it registered, how many pages it has, number of incoming links and refresh rate.

    In 1999, Alexa was bought by Amazon.com, and the deal was priced in Amazon stock at $ 250 million. Despite the fact that Alexa is an integral part of Amazon.com, nevertheless, outwardly, the service has retained its brand independence and is perceived by many users as something independent.

    Since mid-2002, Alexa has come into close contact with Google - it was Google that provided its search data for services from Alexa.com. For a short time, Alexa also used the power of Windows Live Search, but in late 2006, the company's engineers developed their own search platform.

  • Among the products of the Alexa company, there are such popular services:
    • - Alexa Image Search
    • - Search system
    • - Providing information about sites.
    We will focus on the last product.

    The system has its own terminology and if you are guided in it, then questions should not arise.

    You will have to work mainly with three terms. Here they are:

    1. Reach for yoursite.com

    In this case, site traffic is meant - it can either grow or, conversely, fall. The traffic level in the alexa.com algorithm is calculated on the basis of a percentage scale - all users who submit information to the alexa database are taken as a common unit. Attendance is expressed as a percentage of a million users. For example, yahoo.com has 28% traffic, which means that out of a million surfers, 280,000 visit yahoo.com.

    2. Traffic Rank for yoursite.com

    The filtering of "traffic rank" is explained by Alexa's support as follows:

  • - a three-month period is taken as a basis;
  • - data on the attendance of all Internet sites is taken from users who have installed alexa toolbar on their machine;
  • - the number of viewed pages on these sites is calculated from this information;
  • - a selection is made from the data received for the specifically requested site;
  • - the data is averaged according to the criteria of the number of visits and the number of page views;

    Thus, the Site Rank (Traffic Rank) is the position of a resource among other sites. Of course, do not forget that this data is the average value. The calculation of changes in Rank is made by comparative analysis - the position of the resource at the moment is compared with the rank that was recorded three months ago.

    3. Page Views per user for yoursite.com

    This report shows whether the number of pages viewed on a given site is increasing or decreasing. The basis is taken by a unique visitor and the number of pages viewed by him for one unique visit (day). The data from all users are summed up and the average figure is obtained. Basically, this technology is very well implemented in the algorithm Google Analytics - therefore it is recommended to use this service too, because there is more statistical data (of course, you will not be able to see competitors there - only your site).

    Do not forget that when processing data from the Page Views per user section, alexa.com uses a 3-month period and the next report will be based on the data of the previous one.

    Despite the fact that many people stigmatize Alexa.com for very rough generalizations of the traffic of given resources, nevertheless, this service is very visual and is gradually becoming more accurate. This is facilitated not only by the growing number of users who supply data to the server, but also by the improvement of calculation algorithms, which have been announced very often recently.

    The main disadvantage of the system is that the alexa toolbar works only with Internet Explorer and users of other browsers remain out of sight of the system.
    There are other restrictions as well. For example, on protected pages (i.e. on pages that work under the https protocol), the tool from Alex will not work (however, this is understandable - that's why they are protected!). In addition to all this, you should also remember the fact that users live in different countries and, if they use alexa toolbar, then cultural, linguistic and geographic factors can greatly influence their activity in any sector of the Internet.

  • Hi everyone. Have you ever heard of a site like Alexa traffic rank? No? Then sit back more comfortably, as this is the indicator I will talk about in this article.

    You probably already know that there are many different parameters by which webmasters determine how high-quality their sites are. You can list these indicators forever, and I think there is hardly a person who can list all these indicators.

    We have already discussed one of these parameters in separate articles, these are TIC Yandex and Google's PageRank... But there is another very interesting parameter, which is not as popular in the Russian Internet as in the bourgeois, but it also says a lot about the quality of the site. It is called Alexa traffic rank, which I will introduce you to today.

    What is Alexa traffic rank

    So, what is this indicator, and what does it characterize? Unlike the same TIC and PR, which are considered very important indicators on the Russian Internet, Alexa traffic rank is calculated in a completely different way. When calculating it, only one parameter of the site is taken into account - its traffic and behavioral factors.

    We are accustomed to the fact that all other indicators need to be increased, but the picture is completely different with alex rank, and this indicator, on the contrary, needs to be lowered, since the lower it is, the better. In other words, a low Alexa traffic rank indicates that the site is sufficiently visited, while visitors are very active on the site.

    The Alexa rank is calculated for the entire domain as a whole, and only on the domains of the second, i.e. view site.ru, so if you create a subdomain, then you will not recognize this value on it. It is difficult to say which value of alex rank is considered the worst, since the numbers for this indicator are very large and start with millionth values, but the best indicator is 1.

    Also, the alexa rank parameter has one more feature - it has 2 types of site ratings: global and regional (site rating in a particular country).

    Personally, I think that it’s in vain that many people pass by this indicator, since an important indicator of any site is, first of all, traffic, which indicates which site is in front of us, SOM or GS, and it is Alexa rank that helps to draw conclusions about traffic site.

    Of course, this indicator, like many others, can be improved by increasing traffic and behavioral factors, but I believe that this indicator should play a more significant role in determining the quality of a site than TIC or PR, since sites should first of all be created for people, and not to earn money, but visitors can also bring money.

    Why do you need Alexa traffic rank?

    It would also be nice to touch upon the question of why this indicator is needed at all? As I said, this indicator does not play a special role in Runet, but if you are still interested, then it can be taken into account when monetizing a site by selling links and placing ads.

    If you have an English-language site, then you will be able to sell links from your site in foreign link exchanges at a much higher price, since foreign webmasters pay very close attention to this parameter and for them it is as important as Yandex TIC is for our webmasters.

    How to lower Alexa rank

    As I said, the peculiarity of Alex Rank is that this indicator, unlike others, needs to be lowered. How to lower it? In principle, before answering this question, you should have thought of it yourself, since I already said that when calculating Alexa traffic rank, traffic and visitor activity on the site are taken into account.

    Therefore, in order to lower the alex rank parameter, work on your site traffic and behavioral factors. I will not dwell on this in detail, since oh website promotion and improving behavioral factors, we have talked about repeatedly in previous articles.

    Also can be set for your browser toolbar from alexa and recommend it to your visitors, as each visiting visitor with the toolbar installed helps you to improve this indicator.

    How to check Alexa rank

    Well, the last thing we will look at in this article is how to check Alexa traffic rank.

    The first way to check alexa rank at the site is to follow the link http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/site.ru, where instead of site.ru you must specify the domain of your site. You will see the following in front of you:

    The first indicator is the site's rating in the world ranking, the second is the site's rating in runet. For more famous and visited sites, this figure is even lower, but, nevertheless, the numbers you see in the screenshot are also quite prestigious.

    Also, the Alexa Rank parameter of the site can be viewed through the Alexa Toolbar, which I already wrote about a little higher:

    You can also find out this indicator through third-party services and programs for analyzing the site, for example, through the RDS Bar:

    By the way, as you can see, this indicator is slightly different in the RDS Bar, but there is nothing wrong with that, since the differences are not so significant.

    Of course, it's up to you to keep track of Alexa traffic rank or not, but it's not at all necessary to follow it, since if your site has high traffic and is interesting to people, you can be sure that this indicator will improve over time.
