But in this area only the mission of the prologue takes place, and during the game itself it is not realistic to get there.
But there is good news, after a little time, gamers discovered an interesting bug with which you can get into a snow-covered city.

How do I do this with version 1.07?

1.To do this, you must receive an invitation for online Games from friend. Leave this invitation, let it hang, and from the list of single player select the mission - the initial one.
2. It is necessary to play until the moment when the garage door opens there are cops - you need to turn left and run to the car with the inscription "Bobcat".
3. After that, you need to pause the game and accept the invitation that was sent to you.
4. The matter remains small, you need to find a helicopter in a multiplayer game format and fly on it to the southeast of the map (towards the lower right corner), there you will see mountain ranges, among these ridges is North Yankton.
But only you will be able to ride on snow-covered tracks, the person who invited you to the game will not see this city, and if he tries to go to the ground with you, he will simply fall down. To play with a friend, it is necessary that he quit the game, and then, according to the above instructions, did the same, only having received an invitation from you.

If you have version 1.08 installed, then you need:

1. Start a mission in the game called "Close the ax of war."
2. Get to the point where the main character is in North Yankton.
3. Become invited to an inaccessible mission by another user.
4. Get into the helicopter and fly again to the lower right corner of the map
5. In order to explore the territory with a friend, you just need to invite him. Wait until he leaves the game and begins to complete this mission, and then send him an invitation.
Additional information:

In general, you can get to North Yankton in two ways: use a specific bug in the game, or apply a special modification that will give you access to a prohibited place.

How to get to North Yankton in GTA 5 with a bug

First, let's take a look at the bug method. An example will be given for the PS4 version (which, for sure, can be applied to other platforms as well). In order to get to North Yanktok with a bug, you will have to make a list of certain steps in GTA Online and GTA 5. It is also worth mentioning that you must completely complete the story mode, otherwise nothing will work. The funny thing is that Rockstar kind of patched this bug, but now it is available again. Who knows, maybe soon they will plug the hole again. Here are the steps involved:

• First and foremost, log into GTA Online for an invite-only session.
• Then head to the Ammu-nation and head to Tire (yes, all of this is required to access North Yankton).
• In Tire, simply complete one of the shooting tests. It will be best if you take a minigun. It doesn't matter if you pass or fail the challenge, just complete it.
• Then, after the end of the test, you will have to leave Tire and see a request in which you will be asked: "Do you want to leave Tire?" Confirm your exit.
• Next, you should appear right in front of the Ammu-nation store. Then go to Story Mode and select Michael.
• Then you will need to re-play the mission "Bury the Ax of War". Skip all the cutscenes, go outside and call yourself a taxi on your mobile phone.
• Drive to the airport towards the yellow marker. As soon as you enter the yellow marker, press the "X" button on your controller at full speed to interrupt the cutscene.
• As soon as you see a black screen, immediately press the PlayStation button. Then select your Profile-\u003e Recent Activity. You will have to see that in Grand theft Auto V you are in Tire.
• In the same menu, you need to click "Start mini-game". After clicking, a screen should appear on which you will be asked to exit GTA 5. Confirm the request by pressing "X" (Yes) and you will start switching to GTA Online.
• In the future, the game will try to enter multiplayer mode, but it will not work for it and you will be thrown into single player mode.
• You will have to appear on the airport runways. Take any air transport that you like (better still, a helicopter) and take to the air.

That's all. As soon as you rise into the air, somewhere in the east of the airport you will see the unpainted snowy mountains of North Yankton, and behind them there will be the map itself.

How all these actions bring Yankton to the GTA 5 general map is unclear. But, nevertheless, with such an eccentric method, you can get on it.

How to get to North Yankton in GTA 5 using modification

Now let's look at the already mentioned modification, which has the name "North Yankton DLC 3.2". You can download this modification from this link.

It is also worth noting that you will need to download two more modifications: Travel to North Yankton by NewTheft and Railroad Engineer by J10.

After installing these modifications, a huge bridge (something like the Golden Gate) should appear on the map, which will lead you to North Yankton.

If you want "Realistic" winter weather cycles, add and set "REALISTIC_WINTER_WEATHER_CYCLE". Very simple. If you want to uninstall the OIV pack, just use two "UNINSTALL" OIVs "(both must be installed together to restore all your files to normal).

Next I want to add snow to cars, people's heads and clothes.
I want to change the clothes on all the pedals for "winter" ones, because it looks very awkward .. people walking in the snow in shorts and T-shirts .. but all this is very difficult to do. About an interesting glitch in GTA Online, thanks to which players can get into the snowy North Yankton, which was previously only available in the single player mode of GTA 5.

To get to North Yankton in GTA Online you need:

1. Ask a friend to create a private game and send you an invitation, but not accept it.
2. Go to a single-player game (you must first go through at least the Prologue), pause, select "Replay Mission" → "Prologue" from the menu.
3. Complete the mission before leaving the bank, move away from the building, pause and accept the invitation sent by a friend earlier. If everything is done correctly, a black screen will appear, followed by a loading screen.
4. Get into the helicopter, fly over the docks, where you meet with Simon. You will see a large island floating in the air. This is North Yankton.
5. Land on the snow, ask a friend to leave the game, then send him an invitation and ask him to follow steps one through four.

You and a friend can then play in North Yankton in GTA Online.
