Boilsoft Video Splitter is an extremely easy video splitter. How to cut and merge videos with very fast conversion! SolveigMM Video Splitter Software Installing and Using File Splitter & Joiner

Sometimes you just need to cut out a piece from a video or glue several pieces of video together ... But using powerful video editors like Adobe Premiere for such tasks, especially if you don't feel like a fish in water in them, it would be, let's say , somewhat inconvenient.

But, fortunately, there are much easier to use and fairly compact (and, importantly, less expensive) programs that are just intended for those who do not plan to use the same Premiere or another professional video editor, as they say, in full strength, but just occasionally needs to perform fairly simple tasks for working with video. Among such tasks may be the already mentioned selection of a fragment from a video or its removal, merging, and sometimes it still needs to be performed in batch mode, that is, speaking in Russian, simultaneously with several files ... In general, it is quite clear that it is worth looking for a special program that will just be "sharpened" for solving such problems.

It is just such a program that I want to present to your attention now. It is called SolveigMM Video Splitter and you can find it on the World Wide Web at ru.solveigmm.com/products/video-splitter. By the way, there are other interesting software products for working with video on this site. SolveigMM Video Splitter is not quite, let's face it, free - it costs 1100 Russian rubles; the size of its distribution kit is 6.6 MB.

The first thing that attracts in this program is, of course, a very beautiful user interface made in the style of "Macintosh". The interface, by the way, is not only beautiful, but also extremely user-friendly. This is how a commercial software product differs from a free one - it is designed and implemented in such a way as to please the user (that is, a potential buyer) at first sight and be convenient for him every minute. Most free products, however, have a don't-love-don't-eat interface, and it's good if at least it doesn't bother the user. That is why, no matter how many proponents of free software may predict the imminent end of commercial software, it will obviously not come soon. However, let's return to the hero of our review - the video editor SolveigMM Video Splitter.

One of the key features of the product is that all operations are performed with the original quality and without loss of video / audio synchronization. That is, you do not need to think about how to cut a piece of the audio track so that it exactly matches the piece of the cut video track - the program will think about it itself. In addition, in terms of quality, the current version of SolveigMM Video Splitter has frame-accurate editing for MPEG-2 files. The advanced technology SolveigMM leaves 99% of the original data in its original form, transcoding only some frames located at the beginning and end of fragments.

This video shows how to use Video Splitter to cut video.

Hello. Today we have a very dangerous topic. We will work with sharp objects - cutting files. What for? Of course, with regard to small files, then why touch them - let them live, but let's say you have a 10 GB file (a game, for example - they are now gigantic in size) and you need to transfer it to a friend, and the flash drive is only 4-8 GB - how to be?

Or you are the leader of a secret, spy group and you need to deliver a super file to the headquarters, so that no one can use the file when one of your spies is captured. Divide your file by the number of agents or by different sizes and distribute to everyone - everything, the world is saved. Enemies will not be able to use one piece.

Lovers of perversions, of course, can use archivers (there is this function), but this is not our method - we love it quickly, easily and without problems, right? Here comes a small, free program to help us. File Splitter & Joiner, which, by the way, can work directly from the context menu and with absolutely any files.

This program does not have an author and an official site - or rather, there is an author, for sure, but he is unknown. And it was released already in 2006, but this does not prevent it from working wonderfully on any version of the system. It works excellently - I checked it myself on music, text (PDF) files, and also cut and glued the film, but let's go in order ...

Download File Splitter & Joiner

The size of the archive is 1 MB. There are no viruses. The program works in all versions of the Windows operating system.

We find such a beautiful installation shortcut in unpacked archive and press it ...

Installing and using File Splitter & Joiner

The top checkmark makes a shortcut on the desktop, the middle one embeds the item into the context menu, and the bottom one, which must be checked, makes us associate pieces of the file with our program.

That's the whole installation of the program for cutting and then gluing files.

For experienced comrades, everything is already clear - for novice hackers, I explain step by step and in pictures. In order to cut the file, we indicate the file itself in the first line, and where to put the pieces, in the second line. You can pre-create a folder such as color.

Pay attention - for cutting we use the first tab, on top.

Okay, I hope that to indicate the size of the piece, you need to put a dot in the second line? I do not recommend putting jackdaws in the squares - delete the original file after the operation, although maybe someone needs to do it. That's it - we press ...

The cutting process has begun ...

Done! We look at the result ...

We got 8 pieces of 174 MB each from the film. Wonderful. As you can see, the first piece does not look like the rest (remember, you set the association?) - you need to click it to glue the file into a heap. The only condition is that all pieces must be in one folder.

The first attempt came out slightly crooked for me - I did not specify the file resolution. The fact is that I pasted the film into the same folder where the original was. As a result, they wrote to me, they say, a fool - such a file already exists and offered to rename the result. Here I was stupid - I didn’t indicate. Avi. You won't need it, just glue it to another folder or computer. This is how they wrote to me ...

They won't write you this if you do everything correctly and logically. I first received ...

Corrected with pens, as you can see and got ...

You can also glue through the program. To do this, go to the second tab, indicate the first of the pieces and where to save the result ...

We are already familiar with the checkmarks in the squares - they will remove the pieces after the operation. That's the whole difficulty. Tried File Splitter & Joiner on PDF magazine ...

Boilsoft Video Splitter is a tool that allows you to cut a large movie into several smaller parts or smaller clips.

The built-in player allows you to select the beginning and end of a fragment with an accuracy of a second or a frame, and the built-in function of splitting a video file into equal parts or by a certain size will help you quickly and conveniently cut clips without losing quality.

The program has a simple and friendly interface, supports files larger than 2GB and differs from most in high speed.

Support for cutting almost all popular formats, including AVI, DivX, MPEG4, MPEG1, MPEG2, VOB, ASF, WMV, WMA, Real Media (rm, rmvb), MP4 (mp4, m4a), 3GP (3gp, 3g2), VCD ( dat), AC3, MKV, FLV, MP1, MP2, MP3 and others
... High speed dividing (only same formats) without conversion
... Slicing with conversion to a supported format
... Result preview in the built-in player
... High speed and quality
... Nice design, intuitive interface

Advantages:

  • Supports a large number of formats
  • High speed

Disadvantages:
Cuts only one piece

Boilsoft Video Splitter, a tempting program for cutting video files, is one of the few programs that can cut video without re-encoding, which can take a very long time. Cutting video files occurs almost instantly, the program only needs a short time to copy the selected segment.

The latest version supports the vast majority of video formats used in all modern photo and video cameras. It is especially pleasant that it takes Full HD video with a higher bitrate for processing in a rather complex AVCHD encoding, and even with a tricky extension .MTS, shot with a mirrorless digital camera. Many programs for video processing do not want to accept this format in any way.
True, Boilsoft Video Splitter works with such material only with re-encoding, but the final result is of amazing quality.

Boilsoft Video Splitter has a friendly interface, all settings fit in one window. You can split it into parts manually, setting the desired area with an accuracy of milliseconds (item « Split by Selection » ), and automatically - by indicating how many EQUAL parts you need to split the video ( « Split into...» ).

And so, the interface of this program is extremely simple and straightforward. We select your video file and thanks to the built-in video playback, you can visually find places for subsequent trimming, which we mark with arrows located under your picture, indicating the start point of the fragment you need and the end point, while the values \u200b\u200bwill appear in the windows on the right "Start Time" and End Time » that can be corrected to within one frame.

Click on the big button Split Now / Run » , after which a window with two modes will appear, and if the first mode is already selected: "Direct Stream / Direct streaming cut (no encoding)", then the program has recognized your video format and will save the result extremely quickly to the folder you specified.

If a second mode is specified: "Encode Mode / Encoding mode (with re-encoding ) » , then you will have to choose a format for transcoding your fragment and this will take some time (depending on the length of the fragment, the process may take a very long time).

There are a lot of options among the proposed formats, from my own observation I recommend choosing the output format mp4 or aviwith codec XviD or wmv with codec Windows Media Video 9, these options process the picture and sound the most densely and efficiently.

The program has many ready-made settings and you can choose something suitable for your case, but it is better to use the "Advance" button and conjure in the settings for more refined and subtle processing, keeping the parameters for the future.

When re-encoding, it is important to pay attention to the frame rate in the settings, by default the program jumps out the frequency of 29.97, or roughly 30. If your camera shoots video exactly at this rate, or only 15 frames per second, then we don’t bother if the original video with a frequency of 24 or 25 frames, then you need to correct it in the settings to match, otherwise the movements will turn out twitchy. The frame rate of the source video is indicated after selecting the file in the first window of the program.

As you can see, everything is extremely simple and understandable for quick video cutting, and even if you come across some exotic video format, this program will still not refuse to work with it, it will only do it with transcoding. If you need to glue the cut pieces of fragments into one whole, then you should consider the Boilsoft Video Joiner program, but it is best to start mastering some kind of video editor.

5 Before you start SolveigMM Video Splitter is a fast and powerful tool for editing video files of various formats (see the Supported File Formats section). You can split a video file into parts in just a few clicks without any loss in quality. It is also possible to cut several movie clips at the same time. In just a couple of simple steps, you can get rid of all the commercials in the file. Since version 1.2, the program supports batch files! You can add all editing tasks to the queue and process them in one go. In version 2.2 there is a splicing manager. The manager allows you to combine several audio / video fragments into one. No re-encoding occurs during the gluing process, so all files must have the same parameters such as frame height / width, type of audio / video compression, etc. Questions in this section: Key terms: Explanation of concepts and terms used in this document Supported file formats: List of file formats that SolveigMM Video Splitter can work with System requirements: Minimum and recommended system requirements for SolveigMM Video Splitter Hot keys: List of hot keys General terms This section explains the key terms used in this document. Understanding these terms will make working with Solveig Multimedia Movie Splitter easier. Editing process Splitting process Source and destination files Markers Fragments Editing process Editing is the process of splitting a video file into parts. You can cut out a part of the video with unnecessary scenes (for example: ads, damaged areas). The editing process does not affect the original files, the result is saved in the final, different from the original file. Stitching Process Stitching is the process of stitching together multiple audio / video clips into one file. When gluing, transcoding is not used, so it does not affect the audio / video quality at the output. Solveig Multimedia 5

6 Source and destination files Source and destination files are supported video files. The source file contains a video that can be split into chunks. The final file contains a movie that is obtained as a result of processing. During editing, the original file remains in its original form. It is not changed or deleted. Markers A marker is an integral part of a fragment. Each fragment contains two markers: start and end. The marker is positioned at the current cursor position. The selected marker is highlighted in yellow: Actions such as deleting and moving are performed only with the selected markers. Fragments A fragment is a part of a video or audio file, delimited by two markers and intended to be cut or retained in the final video, for example, an advertisement that needs to be cut. Below are examples of snippets: See the detailed description of color values \u200b\u200bin the Using the Editing Panel section. Supported File Formats SolveigMM Video Splitter supports the following media file formats: - AVI Solveig Multimedia 6
