Convert from pdf to corel. PDF from CorelDraw. Alternative way on how to convert CDR file to PDF file

Before starting to create a PDF, make sure that the layout is created in one correct CMYK color space (no RGB, Pantone or spot colors). File\u003e Document Properties… (The penultimate line in the File menu before the “Exit” line) Otherwise, the result can be very deplorable and only you will be to blame. Please export to PDF from CorelDRAW 13 or later! Previous versions CorelDraw may export PDF incorrectly.

In the main menu File\u003e Publish To PDF ( File\u003e Publish to PDF) Select the PDF style (save the settings if you plan to prepare files for printing in the future), for example "Newsprint44". In the save file window, click the Setting button to configure.

General tab (Basic). We select the range of published pages, in our case the current one, because we write PS sequentially page by page. Be sure to choose compatibility with version of Acrobat 6.0 (choosing 4.0 will spoil our files if they contain any effects or transparency).

Color Tab (Colors). Select Use document color settings. Choose Output color as\u003e CMYK so that all objects in other color spaces (RGB, Lab, etc.) are automatically converted to CMYK when recording. The conversion result may not be entirely adequate. It is best to take care beforehand that there are no such objects in the document. Use only the SMUK palette and select Native (Leave without conversion the initially specified color models of objects). Preserve document overprints - mark, if overprints (overprints) are assigned to any objects in the document (and you are sure what you are doing), setting this option will save the settings. In any other case, we recommend disabling. Incorrectly set object overlays produce unpredictable print results. Set Always overprint black (Always objects of black color 0,0,0,100 are overprinted on top of the rest).

Document tab (Document). Set both flags: display method PDF Page Only, Binary (Binary coding).

Objects Tab (Objects). Be sure to set JPEG compression for pictures " High quality"Or without compression" None "... We reduce the resolution of your huge pictures to 275 dpi. If you do not plan to edit the pdf, to avoid problems with the fonts, check the boxes in the buttons Compress text and line art (Compress text and lines), Export all text to curves (Convert all fonts to curves). EPS files - select PostScript to avoid converting embedded EPS to bitmaps.

On prepress tab (Prepress) Leave all buttons off.

On last tab subject to the Preflight settings, the program will notify you of possible problems.

Important! Be sure to open and check the PDF in Acrobat. First of all, on the Layers tab, select Flatten Layers (Gather the layers all together), reduce the file size. If transparencies were used in the document (bitmaps with transparency, fills with transparency), the color space for blending transparencies is set incorrectly by Corel. You need to use Acrobat's Convert Colors function or refuse to use transparencies and prepare objects in a raster graphics program Adobe Photoshop... Before sending, print the stripes on a color printer at a scale close to the original. Check it out!

Make sure that all the design elements are in place, the bitmaps have not changed color, the fonts are still readable. The printed field lacks all service marks - scoring lines, perforations, cutting lines and the thinnest frames that match the cut format. If there are elements in the document that are not intended to be printed, they should be removed.

We check the presence of crop marks and outliers for cropping (we check their sizes and other geometric parameters of the document in the main menu Document\u003e Crop Pages). Departures should be on every page, so we look through the ENTIRE document.

In the left Navigation Panel, select the Pages tab and make sure that all pages of the document are present in the file, and their sequence is correct (1 - face, 2 - turnover, 3 - face, etc.).

If the face and turnover were created different files - combine them by dragging and dropping a page from the Pages of the circulation to the Pages of the publication file. All work should be in one PDF.

If, when creating a brochure, the cover was made in a spread - move the pages so that the fourth page of the cover is the last page in the publication. If a multi-page publication contains blank pages, they must be present in the file... For example: if the cover in a brochure is printed 4 + 0, then the following sequence must be observed: 1 - the first page of the cover, 2 - a blank page, 3 - the first page of the block, ..., the penultimate - a blank page, the last - the fourth page of the cover.

Pages in the file must be oriented so that when flipped from left to right they remain readable. If we are preparing for printing a product that implies a different way of turning, for example, a horizontal brochure, fastened on the wide side, or an invitation card that opens up, then turn the even-numbered pages: in the main menu Document\u003e Rotate Pages, select Direction: 180 deg .; All; Rotate: Even Pages Only\u003e OK.

The printer's manual is your PDF, and alignment of sides, default head-to-head, regardless of the location of texts and graphics inside the page.

Import PDF file

You can get the best results for displaying text in your PDF file by choosing the correct way to import text - as text or as curves. The following tips will help you make the right choice:

  • When you import text in text form, the text remains fully editable like curly or plain text. However, some effects and formatting elements may be lost. This option is recommended if the PDF file contains large blocks of text (such as a periodical) that need to be reformatted or some text content added to them.
  • When you import text as curves, the appearance of the text, including effects, is preserved and each character is converted to a curve object. In this case, the formatting functions can no longer be used to edit text. This option is suitable for importing a PDF file that contains a small amount of text that does not need to be edited, or in a situation where the fonts used in this PDF file are missing.
  1. Press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + I.
  2. Find the folder where the file is stored.
  3. In the list All file formats select PDF - Adobe Portable Document Format.
  4. Click the file name and click the button Import.

If the file is password protected, enter a valid password in the appropriate field.

    • Curves - converts text to curves and preserves the appearance of the original text.
