So the computer shows the expected high level of performance, both in everyday tasks and in games. The laptop can handle any adequate load.

Software

The YOGA 700 is a multi-mode laptop with a touchscreen, so it makes sense that it runs a 64-bit Windows 10 Home operating system with standard system applications preinstalled, McAfee Internet Security antivirus and Lenovo software suite.

Of the latter, Lenovo Companion deserves attention, with which you can monitor the condition of the laptop and check the device for errors.

The device is convenient to use both in the classic version and as a full-fledged tablet, since the textured design of the sidewalls contributes to the comfortable holding of the device in a transformed state.

At the same time, the transformation process itself takes a few seconds and takes place in an intuitive format that will not cause difficulties even for the most inexperienced user.

The case of the laptop is almost entirely made of silver plastic with a characteristic texture, stylized like metal, and a soft-touch soft-touch coating. Traditionally, this material is of high quality and good tactile properties, but quickly collects fingerprints and dust. Fortunately, it can also be easily cleaned with the help of available tools.

Well, now about some of the shortcomings that we observed with the Lenovo Yoga 3, in particular, the build quality. Due to the small thickness (18 mm), the cover bends when pressed. As a result of this effect, streaks appear on the screen, and this does not in the best way affect the image quality. As for the rest, there are no complaints, all the details are well fitted, no extraneous sounds appear in the form of squeaks during the transformation, and there are also no backlashes. Oh yes, we almost forgot about the dimensions of the new item! Its length is 335 mm, width - 230 mm, while its weight is 1.6 kg. So there is no need to talk about the mobility of the gadget, for example, you cannot hold it for a long time in tablet mode. By the way, the upgrade is possible, but it is limited only by upgrading the hard disk and RAM.

Display, sound and webcam

The transformer screen is an element that takes center stage in each of the modes, so it is important that it does not pump up. In this case, we have a 14-inch display with Full HD-resolution and a pixel density of 276 ppi. The contrast ratio is at the proper level - 980: 1, with the brightness things are not so rosy - the maximum is about 225 cd / m2. Compliance with the sRGB standard is quite modest - only 61%. In fact, such a screen is quite enough, the picture looks natural, moderately saturated and bright. True, it is still better to refrain from operating in direct sunlight, because the image quality deteriorates noticeably.

The IPS matrix, of course, makes itself felt: the viewing angles are excellent. And this is undoubtedly very important, given that the modes of this transformer involve the use of different angles. As far as touch input is concerned, there will be no problems with it. Commands are executed without delay, the capacitive screen supports up to 10 simultaneous touches.

Two Dolby stereo speakers will not please true music connoisseurs, but the device is not positioned as a multimedia one. At maximum, the sound is decent, wheezing is not annoying. Bass and treble, of course, are not enough, but for everyday playback of films or music, the acoustics will be enough. Keyboard and touchpad

The manufacturer offers the user as many as four scenarios for using this hybrid PC. And although the keyboard is used only in one mode - the traditional "laptop", we must admit that it is used most often, and therefore the keyboard is not assigned the last role.

So what do we have? In fact, the typing tool in this gadget is significantly inferior to the one in the ThinkPad line, so those who have the ability to compare will definitely feel the difference. But in general, the keyboard is not bad, its only drawback is sagging in the central part, but it only manifests itself in the case of overly intense typing. Otherwise, everything is fine: the keys are made according to the island principle, they have a comfortable square shape, with a rounded bottom.

Of course, there is no numpad, but it is not peculiar to the 14-inch form-factor. But there is backlighting, however, with only one level, but this is better than nothing. By the way, when the Lenovo Yoga 700 opens 190 degrees or more, the keyboard and touchpad are automatically disabled to avoid accidental presses.

By the way, about the touch pad. It has a smooth plastic surface and is large enough. The pointing device supports multi-touch gestures such as zooming, scrolling, etc. The touchpad has no physical keys, but there is a vertical divider that delimits the intended right and left mouse buttons.

As for the more outdated, say, 2013, they will easily start even at maximum settings.

By the way, the integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 520 is suitable for everyday tasks. Its capabilities are quite enough for web surfing, working with documents, etc.

RAM in this case is 8 GB of DDR3-1600 MHz standard, and this amount is the maximum possible. The storage system is represented by a 256 GB solid state drive, which is more than enough for a 14-inch device with a fairly powerful filling.

Ports and communications

Let's take a closer look at how things are with the laptop interfaces. So, on the right side you can see a USB 3.0 port, Micro-HDMI video output and physical keys: power button, volume rocker, display orientation lock key and Novo button, which launches the OneKey Recovery application, which allows you to restore the system in case of a failure.
