PostNL - delivery details and tracking in Russian

Good afternoon

PostNL- one of the best, stable and fastest budget ways to deliver goods from China. Of course, EMS or FedEX courier delivery will be much faster, but the price for such delivery methods starts at $ 20 and they do not send inexpensive goods.

How does PostNL work?

PostNL- This is the postal service of the Netherlands, so all parcels go through this country. A parcel from China is first delivered to a sorting center in the Netherlands, after which it is sent by regular mail with tracking to Russia. Usually parcels sent from China using PostNL reach Russia in 2-3 weeks. This, of course, is not very fast, but it is stable. If parcels can go from one week to several months through China post, then there are usually no problems with the post of the Netherlands, stably 2-3 weeks.

PostNL parcels are tracked by Russian Post (pochta.ru) as soon as they cross the border of the Netherlands and go to Russia. However, such parcels also have other statuses, which can only be seen on the Netherlands Post website. But first things first.

You can start tracking a few days after the seller sent the package. Go to the site https://www.postnl.nl/en/ and in the section "Track your item" enter your parcel number, country of destination "Russia" and your index. In response, you will see the following information:

Status details:

The item is pre-advised- Your parcel was picked up by the courier service from the seller and delivered to the Netherlands, it usually takes 5-7 days.

The item is at the PostNL sorting center- Your package has been delivered to the Netherlands and is in the local sorting center, it will be sent to Russia as soon as possible.

The item is on transport to the country of destination- Your package has been sent to Russia. Starting from this status, the parcel will be normally visible on the Russian Post website (pochta.ru) and it can be further tracked in Russian.

Parcels from the Netherlands (PostNL) consistently reach Russia in 7-10 days (the time between export and import), go through customs and then go through Russia, like all other parcels.
