Method 1: NVIDIA Official Site
The search for any software, including a graphics card driver, should start from the official website. If you do not want to download updates manually in the future, make sure there is a check mark next to this software.
- PhysX System Software- another optimizer program, but more narrowly focused. If you play video games and want to get the most out of your GeForce GTS 450 graphics card, install this as well.
- Among other things, NVIDIA may suggest installing an audio driver and a 3D driver. You can use this software only at your own discretion. The first can be checked, the second is optional.
- "Run clean install» - a useful option if you plan to install the driver cleanly, having previously got rid of its old versions. Will help to avoid conflicts and failures or eliminate them altogether, if any.
Having decided on all the parameters, click on the button "Further".
- Finally, the installation procedure will start, its progress will be displayed at the bottom of the window. If you leave the checkboxes next to the items below the report window, you can add a GeForce Experience shortcut to your desktop and launch the application right away.
Note: In our example, a computer is used under windows management 10 64 bit! You also need to select the version and bit depth that matches your system.
This completes the driver installation for NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450. The procedure is not the fastest, and it requires certain actions, but it is still difficult to call it complicated. Method 2: NVIDIA Online Service

When the device is overclocked, the average frequency of 3600 MHz can increase to the maximum level. The 2GB and 512MB versions achieved the same performance when using GDDR5 memory. If the option with GDDR3 is selected, the characteristics of all cards, regardless of modification, deteriorate, although not too noticeably. For example, the results in 3DMark11 tests decrease by about 5-10% (from 2072 to 1866-1979 points), in games the difference reaches 15-20%.
GeForce GTS 450 Review
Appearance graphics card differs slightly depending on the manufacturer. However, all technical specifications, including the power consumption of the GTS 450, which has a maximum value of 106 W, remain unchanged.
With a decrease in load, the TDP indicator drops, but for normal operation the card still requires a power supply with a capacity of at least 400W.
The video adapter is supplied with a disk with drivers and three adapters - from DVI to VGA, from mini-HDMI to HDMI and from 4-pin power connectors to one 6-pin. The set is quite standard for a budget video card and allows you to connect various peripherals - from monitors and TVs to projectors.

How to overclock an Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 graphics card
You can overclock the Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 using special utilities - for example, the free Nvidia Inspektor program. For its operation, no installation is required - just start the application, press the button labeled "Show Overclocking" and configure the parameters. An increase in the frequency of the core and memory is automatically provided by an increase in the same indicator for shader units.
The recommended increase in the characteristics of the model should not exceed 10-12%. For an average frequency of 783/3600 MHz, the result would be numbers around 860-880 MHz and 3960-4000 MHz. Values \u200b\u200bwill differ for versions with GDDR3.

Strategic world game In Conflict showed the inability to play it using a video adapter with GDDR3 memory. Models with GDDR5 allow you to get, depending on the settings, from 17 to 35 fps.
In the game GTA4, all versions of the graphics adapter have been tested - for models with an increased memory frequency, the frequency reaches 64 frames per second, for lower versions the same figure is about 50.
More a new versionGTA V is also launching, but the performance leaves much to be desired for all modifications of the GTS 450. Fallout 4 also shows weak results, although it also launches, especially on cards with 2 GB GDDR3 or GDDR5.
Based on the test results, we can conclude that the parameters of the video card are not too new and not the most productive games. Already at the time of the start of sales of the graphics adapter, its characteristics were not the best for gamers.
Now models with 2GB of memory are hardly enough to run modern games at 720p, and versions with 1GB and 512 are not even considered, since they do not meet the minimum requirements.
