The novelty from the Russian company Irbis will delight those smartphone users who need an affordable smartphone, but without a budget discount. The manufacturer has equipped the Irbis SP571 with a large and high-quality screen, a nimble processor, a fingerprint scanner and a capacious battery, achieving a verified balance of price and quality.

Screen

Irbis brand engineers are well aware that the modern user can no longer be impressed with 5.5-inch displays, even on available smartphones... Therefore Irbis SP571 received a diagonal of 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 720, an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and minimal side bezels.

This not only turns the smartphone into a real mini-cinema for watching widescreen videos, but also adds comfort when working with application interfaces, reading and editing text, and communicating on social networks.

Performance

The Irbis SP571 is powered by MediaTek's latest entry-level smartphone, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The latest PowerVR GE8100 chip is responsible for serious graphics capabilities, which is capable of playing modern 3D games at medium settings.

The current version of Android 8.1 OS provides a comfortable interaction with user interfaces, provides extensive options for personalizing your smartphone, and also supports updated protocols for protecting user data.

Cameras

Buy budget smartphone and get a dual camera? Imagine that Irbis SP571 gives you this opportunity. The main 8 megapixel photo module received a dual lens, autofocus and an extensive set of camera settings. The 0.3MP front camera will provide decent image quality during video calls.

Autonomy

The 8th version of "Android" is distinguished by thoughtful management of battery consumption. Therefore, with a very solid capacity of 3000 mAh, the smartphone battery with the support of the operating system is ready for serious loads during the day.

Sometimes people find it very difficult to choose a smartphone. The main difficulty lies in the fact that many of them simply do not know the characteristics and only refer to the price. But even among the same price category there are the most different models... Below are some reasons why you should pay attention to the Irbis SP551.

Appearance and body

The screen here occupies only 70 percent of the front surface. There is not even a hint of framelessness. And there is no talk of a wide format. The display is covered with 2.5D glass and there are three touch buttons for navigation. From above, of course, front-camera and a proximity scanner. Rear panel looks very controversial. This does not apply to the camera and fingerprint scanner. The problem is in the large number of brand logos promoting this project. I managed to count three pieces, including the manufacturer. The body itself is made of metal and has the standard dimensions for a smartphone 77 x 153.5 x 8.3. It weighs a little more than usual: 186 grams. But this does not prevent the device from being held in hand with a sufficient level of comfort. There is only one color: silver.

Display

The screen has an aspect ratio of 16 by 9 and a diagonal of 5.5 inches. The good news is that the developers did not cut the resolution, leaving FullHD. Thanks to this, the picture looks holistic and rich. The viewing angles do not suffer either. Thanks to the airless layer.

Camera

Unlike fashion trends, the main camera is one here. It is rated at 13 megapixels. We can say that this resolution will be enough for good pictures during the day. The front camera is a little simpler: 8 megapixels. But it also leaves extremely positive emotions. It's no surprise that video is recorded at 1080p. Such a smartphone does not require more.

Performance

The 4-core processor MediaTek MT6737T is responsible for the operation of the device. Frankly speaking, this is a weak "hardware", although it can cope with all everyday tasks. Problems begin in games where the chipset is helped by the Mali-T720 MP2 video accelerator. The situation is not dire, but it can hardly be called pleasant either, when the frame rate per second constantly drops in powerful games. The amount of RAM is 2 gigabytes, and the built-in memory is 16. There is little free space, but there is a slot for a microSD card. So the problem can be considered solved.

Battery

The smartphone does not shine with autonomy, but the 3100 mAh battery looks decent enough. He will live peacefully until the evening. And there it is already time for charging.

Other

Not all LTE bands received support, but the developer decided to endow his model with a USB Type-C connector.

Irbis SP551 is not like other ultra-budget devices of the company. It is not at all embarrassing, it has a basic set of functions, albeit in a slightly cut version.

Non-removable

A couple of phablets were released under the Irbis brand, very similar in appearance, but different in content.

The model can be called the younger one - it got a relatively fresh in terms of release date, but already, one might say, an ideologically outdated MediaTek MT6580 quad-core chipset that does not have built-in 4G support. Accordingly, the device is devoid of it, an additional modem in the load to budget chipset Of course, they did not put it on.

On the other hand, LTE is not relevant everywhere, but otherwise the smartphone is quite suitable: a 5.5 "IPS screen with a resolution of 720x1280, a sane capacity battery - 2900 mAh. Random access memory only a gigabyte - but this is clearly an inexpensive solution. Cameras - 8 and 2 MP, the main one with autofocus. Android version fresh.

Two color options - white with gold piping and black with steel-colored sidewall. For some reason, different colors differ in weight, although this is more like a data entry error.

Main characteristics of Irbis SP55:

It is even more interesting that the fashionable color "rose gold" has been added to the colors listed above - also only along the side, but still. The battery, cameras, screen and memory capacity are exactly the same as those of the MediaTek MT6735 chipset. This is an energy-efficient 4-core processor with a maximum frequency of 1 GHz, a smartphone not for lovers of heavy toys (but it won't eat much of a battery), but it has a noticeable plus - an integrated LTE modem. So it is capable of functioning in 4G networks.
