This will help step-by-step instruction by flashing Lenovo S820.
First of all, the user needs to know that there are two types of firmware for this smartphone. The first are official ones, which are created by the manufacturer, and the second are called custom. What you need to know

CWM and TWRP Recovery are small programs (kind of like a BIOS on a computer) that allow you to flash Lenovo S820, update, install different patches, and even install applications or games. As a rule, when you find yourself a firmware, the developers indicate what to sew: CWM Recovery or TWRP Recovery. Such firmwares are also archived and have the * .zip extension.
Preparing the phone for firmware
So, you have a smartphone, computer and data cable and need to flash Lenovo S820. To do this, first we charge the gadget, then we download the drivers for MTK devices (for the turned off body), the program. After that, you need to decide on the choice of firmware (official or custom), and download it. Now you have everything to start the process of flashing your phone. Sewing process with SP Flash Tool
After you have made a backup of your firmware, you can start flashing. Now turn off your phone, launch the SP Flash Tool and specify the path to the scatter file by pressing the "Scatter-loading" button, see fig. 2.
After specifying the path to the file, blocks that will be stitched will appear in the lower field. You need to make sure that there are checkmarks in front of all the blocks, in front of "Preloader" too. Next, put a tick “DA DL All With Check Sum” and press the button “Firmware-\u003e Upgrade” see fig. 3.
The Flash Tool will begin to form an image of the firmware (pink progress bars will run at the bottom), while turn off the phone (if it is connected to a computer, then disconnect it), distort the battery and connect the phone to the computer in the off state. If everything is done correctly, the firmware process will begin (at the bottom, first a red and then a yellow progress bar will run). If, for some reason, the progress line stands still and does not run, then try disconnecting the gadget from the PC, distorting the battery, and reconnecting it to the computer. It didn't help - then there is a problem with the drivers, you will have to reinstall them (of course, the firmware process needs to be interrupted). After the end of the firmware process, a window with a green circle appears, see Fig. 4.
Congratulations, you managed to flash the Lenovo S820. Now you can disconnect your smartphone from the PC and turn it on. The first download is long, about 5 - 10 minutes.
