Kyocera network scanning software. Kyocera M2030dn and M2530dn - print and scan over the network. M2030dn and M2530dn Network Scan Setup

This article will describe how to configure the Kyocera M2030dn and M2530dn MFPs for printing and scanning over a local network.

MFPs Kyocera M2030dn and M2530dn are interesting office class devices. Decent ink cartridge (up to 3000 pages), duplex printing and duplex scanning. The network interface is wired (Ethernet). The M2530dn also has a fax. Separate imaging drum and separate toner cartridge, reducing replacement costs even with original consumables.

Since this is an MFP for the office, respectively, the most correct way to use it is to directly connect the device to local network.

Connecting Kyocera M2030dn (M2530dn) to a local network

The beginning of the setup is to connect the MFP to the local network. Kyocera developers eat bread for a reason - right from the factory in the MFP settings, automatic receipt of network settings via DHCP is set, so you just need to plug network cable and check the visibility of the device on the local network. You can find out the IP address of the device by printing a Device Status Report. Or through the printer properties (Ports tab). Or through the admin panel of the router (list of connected network clients).

But if you do not have a router on the network (DHCP server), then you will need to look at what IP address the MFP has and then, on the computer's network card, put a suitable one in order to dock them together. You can also manually specify the IP address on the MFP itself, but this is inconvenient to do. Network settings are blocked by username and password, which are inconvenient to enter (username and password by default - Admin / Admin). I do not understand why in the factory settings to set the login and password for access through the device panel? All the more so difficult to type.

But the MFP has a web admin panel, accessible through a browser, by the device's IP address. It is quite convenient to control and configure the device through it. However, in order to use this admin panel, the device must first obtain an IP address. The admin panel opens in limited mode. To access all the MFP settings, you need to enter an administrative username and password (by default, these are Admin and Admin).

Note. When changing the network settings, the device must be turned off and then turned on again.

Setting up a router

If a router is used in the local network, then you need to open the router's admin panel and assign its address to the MFP on an ongoing basis! So that the router assigns this IP address to the MFP every time it is turned on.

Connecting Kyocera M2030dn (M2530dn) on Windows

If you use the standard installer from the included disk, it installs everything required driversbut does not register the scanning device.

In the "Devices and Printers" applet, there will be only a printer. And the scanner will need to be added manually. In the same "Devices and Printers" applet, press the "Add device" button. It is a device, not a printer! Windows will need to find the Kyocera device. You need to confirm the installation of drivers for this device. After installation, check it - when you right-click, in context menu there should be commands not only for the printer, but also for scanning.

That is, in the "Devices and Printers" applet, as a result, there should be two devices - printing and scanning. You can leave one of them - the one with which both functions are associated - printing and scanning.

There is one more feature. The installation manual says that after installing the drivers, you need to run a special program "TWAIN settings" and add a device in it (at its address). The program is installed along with the drivers and is available in the "Kyocera" menu. However, I personally did not do this and the scan still worked.

Scan from Windows

You will have to scan in an unusual way. Manager can be used windows scan (wiaacmgr.exe), but before starting it, you need to switch the MFP to the "WSD scanner" mode. This is done on the MFP control panel. You need to press the Send button, and then find and select the "WSD Scanner" item in the menu. Then you can start scanning from your computer.

It is not comfortable. But to compensate for this inconvenience, the MFP has the functionality of scanning directly to a folder on a computer! And it is more convenient than scanning from a computer, it saves movement in space. You do not need to go to the device a second time after scanning is completed to pull out the scanned document. You can scan in one go!

Configuring Scan to a Computer Folder over the Network

To use this convenient function, you must first configure your computer (s) and the device itself.

On the computer, you need to share the folder (configure network access to this folder). In addition, the manual says that you need to add an allowing rule to windows firewall - for incoming connections to TCP port 445. However, everything works even without this rule, but it depends on the overall severity of the computer's network settings.

On the MFP, you need to add an entry to the device's address book (via the web admin panel, of course). For this entry, it is not necessary to fill out the entire form, it is enough to specify the data only in the SMB section - host name, path to the folder. At least two of these fields. If you have password access on the network, then you also need to specify a username and password. In the same section there is a "Test" button, which allows you to check the correctness of the specified data. It's comfortable.

Note. The path to a network folder must be full, starting with the hostname, but with a backslash (\\) instead of the hostname. For example like this: \\ scanfolder... Find out the full network path to desired folder you can, if you open it from a computer, through the network.

Note. If the test connection is not established - you need to look network settings target computer. Perhaps the folder permissions are not set for everyone. Or you need to explicitly add a rule to the firewall. Or the host name, path to the folder (login-password, if used) are specified incorrectly. This feature works if done correctly!

After that, in the same place in the MFP admin panel, you need to link this entry in the address book with the key quick access... To call the addressee on the MFP panel with one button.

If there are several computers in the network, all this can be done for each of them.

Scanning to a folder is very convenient. You need to put the document in the scanner (or in the automatic document feeder), then press the Send button, then the quick access button to the addressee, then the Start button. And that's all, in a few seconds the document will be in the folder of the specified computer.

There, on the MFP panel, you can manually change the scanning parameters, before pressing the Start button. And in the MFP admin panel, you can change the default settings for scanning.

Connecting Kyocera M2030dn (M2530dn) on Linux

In relation to Ubuntu, everything is very simple. Much easier than on Windows.

There is a Linux folder on the bundled disk. The Kyocera website has a separate archive with linux drivers. This is just a collection of PPD files, for different models Kyocera. Each file name contains the device model.

From this folder (or from the archive) you need to copy (extract) the required PPD file, then open the "Print" applet and add a new printer. When it comes to choosing a driver, you need to specify this PPD file. That's all.

Setting up a WSD scanner on Linux is more complicated. And in general, there is no point in bothering with this - after all, there is the functionality of scanning directly to a folder on the computer. Configuring for Linux, just like for Windows - create a folder with network access (via Samba), then add the computer to the MFP address book.

Kyocera machines are very popular in medium to large offices. They have earned their trust very much good quality print, for the entire service life of the device. But this is of course provided that you will only use original consumables recommended by the manufacturer.

In this article we will get acquainted with one of the Kyocera line devices, namely the FS-6525mfp.

Many companies and offices have a corporate network where users can exchange documents, etc. The Kyocera FS-6525mfp has the ability to send a newly scanned document to network folder, for further work with him.

Our task is to configure Kyocera FS-6525mfp so that it can scan over the network - send scans to a network folder.

Before starting the setup, make sure that the machine is connected via a TCP / IP network and that the drivers have been installed from the disk that came with the machine. If this disk no, it is recommended to download the drivers from the manufacturer's official website.

Create a shared folder for scanning

On any of the local drives of the computer, create a shared folder.

For example, create a folder on " Local disk: D "and call it" ScanMFP ".

To open public access, you must:

Press once right click mouse on the "ScanMFP" folder and go to "Properties".

Go to the "Access" tab and select "Sharing":

We select the user who needs to open general access to the "ScanMFP" folder:

Using any Internet web browser, go to the control panel of the device - the internal Command Center interface:

In the field where pages of sites are usually displayed, you need to enter the IP address of the device and press "Enter".

The IP address of the machine can be viewed by printing the “MFP FS-6525MFP Status Page” and then looking for “IP Address” on the page.

In my case, the IP address of the device is 192.168.0.252

For Kyocera FS-6525mfp, the default is:

Login Admin

Password Admin

The case when entering data plays an important role, please note that the first letters must be capitalized.

After we went to the Command Center control panel. We select "Address book" - "Contacts" - "Add contact":

Room: Any number from 001 to 250

Name: The name / number of the client / computer is filled in, where it stands. This name will be displayed on the screen of the machine.

For example: Secretary

Host Name: The IP address of the computer / server to which we want the scans to be sent.

The IP address can be viewed in the "Properties" - "Status" of the connection:

In my case, I will have to enter: 192.168.0.93

Port number: 139

Way: The name of the shared folder on your computer.

For example: D: \\ Users \\ AdminPC \\ ScanMFP

Username for registration: Computer username.

Registration password: Password from the user's account. (The field cannot be empty, you must set a password for the user on the computer)

If everything went well, the message "The message with the server has been established" will appear. And if everything is not successful, then you need to check the settings shared folder, Command Center Control Panel and Network Health, whether everything is connected.

If testing is successful, press the "Submit" button to add the contact to the address book.

Checking Scan to Network Folder

  1. Press the button "Send".
  2. We select "Address Book".
  3. We select our newly created contact.
  4. Click "OK"
  5. We put the document on the flatbed scanner and press the “Start” button.

As a result, this document should appear in the folder that we specified during the settings.

I hope everything will be clear and accessible to you. Good luck with your setup!

Today we will look at:

Each individual program requires at least a short guide to be written. In this article we will look at utilities that help you work with Kyocera equipment. We will focus on several programs at once. Utilities for the most part help you manage devices, configure them, and, of course, maintain them.

Main software

The basis of the entire line of corresponding printing devices is a program called Printer Driver. It was developed for various operating systems: both for Windows and for MacOS and.

KX Driver

The application allows the user to learn the basic operations that are performed when printing files. This program is enough to understand the basics of working with Kyocera equipment. The utility opens standard featuresadding some specific features to them.

For example, for Kyocera equipment, this is printing protection by entering an n-digit password. Also, the program contains options that are responsible for the state hard disk inside the printer. The user can create separate profiles to help speed up the most common printing tasks. The utility's potential does not end there, I must say.

KYOnet for clients

This program was developed by the company's engineers specifically so that the user can at any time view the status of the printing device, as well as the job that was printed. The utility may well become a replacement for the status monitor built into operating system Windows as a standard device.

KYOnet for Direct Printing

it software will allow you to print a document with the PDF extension even if AcrobatReader is not installed on your computer or laptop. What other opportunities does the program open to its users?

  1. Combining individual files PDF in one single task;
  2. Changing the printing sequence of these files;
  3. Selecting a printing device and a print profile.

The program interface is extremely simple. To successfully complete the task, the user only needs to specify the files for printing, and then send them to the appropriate process using the button.

Prescribe Printer Language

This is a real editor, based on a programming language called Prescribe (it was developed by the same Kyocera company, which, in principle, is quite logical). The editor allows you not only to perform certain tasks that are in one way or another related to printing, but also to automate this process. Moreover, some tasks can be supported only by this utility. Among other things, we can note the simplicity of the corresponding programming language. It won't be very difficult to learn it.

What are Kyocera printers capable of?

Devices manufactured by this company are able to:

  1. Scan files to copy them in applications.
  2. and send them to the specified email addresses.
  3. Scan files and save them to a shared folder for several devices.
  4. Scan FTP server.
  5. Connect to a database of other servers.
  6. Work with the Job Box function (while applications receive jobs).
  7. Save files to external USB drives.

No additional software is required to perform these functions, any Kyocera printer supports them from the get-go by simply plugging it out of the box and plugging into the device.

File Management Utility

This program can be installed by the user for added convenience. Having installed it, you can immediately specify certain conditions under which the scanned files will be placed in a particular network resource. It is logical that this operation can be performed not only for one device, but also for several at once.

However, to use the utility, the printing device must support an option called HyPAS. The program works as follows: the resource in which the scanned files are placed is regularly checked by the device. After that, if the file was placed in a folder, the option moves it to the previously specified address.

If you look closely, the application is, in fact, practically integrated into the "hardware" part of the device. And this is nothing more than a solution for the operating panel of a printing device built on the basis of the HyPAS option. PanelPlus allows you to use a button to start a specific task.

An excellent utility is suitable for cases when you need to regularly perform work, but every time you are tired of entering the initial parameters. In general, PanelPlus will help you save time and hassle.

Panel Plus Designer

This software is installed on personal Computer... It is quite convenient to use. Even a user who is not very well versed in this matter can easily create the task he needs. After the task is formulated, it will be saved as a file with the appropriate resolution. The file itself can be instantly "uploaded" to the printer (using an external USB drive). Then a button will appear on the device panel, which is responsible for the task written by the user. For the utility to work, the device must have Java version 6.0 or higher.

KYOcapture

Allows you to take full control of scanning processes. This is a desktop application. Thanks to KYOcapture, the user is able to customize absolutely any processes related to scanning files. That is, it is possible to set a sequence. Both paper and electronic documents... They can be named according to the rules. At the same time, it is possible to send a file to several network storage... Operations can be performed in conjunction with the HyPAS option.

KYOcapture can handle three main categories of components:

  1. Receiving files and capturing them. It is called "Capture". Examples: AutoCapture and KyoceraMFP;
  2. File indexing and processing. It is called "Process". Examples: Send to Database, PDF Converter;
  3. File storage and transfer. Title: "Route". Examples: Share Point, LAN Fax.

Recently, the number of components that are combined with Kyocera devices has been steadily growing. The score has already gone to tens.

How to set up a network scanner on the Kyocera Ecosys M2035DN MFP

1. You need to assign a static IP to the machine, if you have not already configured it. The setting is made through the "system menu" "counter" button on the left of the printer panel. Select the item system, in order to enter there you must enter your username and password. For this device, the login is 3500, the password is 3500. Next, select the item network setting, setting TCP \\ IP, setting IPv4, you need to check whether DHCP is enabled or disabled, if enabled, then it must be disabled. Also fill in the fields Ip address, netmask and gateway.
2. Check the name of the computer, it must be in Latin otherwise the printer will perceive it as an error.
3. Check the username and password, there should be no Russian characters.
4. We go into the browser and enter the IP address of the printer, for example 192.168.0.23, the MFP menu will open.
5. Find the address book tab, select the address item - add the address. Here you have the opportunity to choose where to scan: FTP, SMB or e-mail.
6. Let's analyze the ability to scan to an SMB folder. On the root directory of the C: \\ drive, create a folder named for example SCAN. We select the properties of the folder, access, open the general access to the folder.
7. Back in the web browser to the address book, fill in the following fields: NAME - the name of the contact as it will be displayed on the MFP monitor, leave the port number as it is, the host name (either the IP of the MFP or the computer name, for example Kyocera), the username fields remain and the password, enter as at the entrance to the computer.
8. Trying to scan, select the send button on the MFP - address book - select the contact and click "OK", then the start button. If everything is filled in correctly, then in the SCAN folder you will have a scanned item.
9. The main problems during setup: blocked by antivirus or computer firewall, try disabling or adding exceptions.

Error code C7990 Kyocera FS 1030MFP 1035MFP 1130MFP 1135MFP

The code with this number is generated when the signal about the overflow of the toner reservoir comes from the hopper sensor. In this case, there are three possible reasons for this error.

If the hopper is actually overfilled with toner, the manufacturer recommends replacing the drum unit. However, if the photoconductor unit (PCU) has not reached the end of its life, it makes sense to clean the toner hopper.

This requires:

1. Open the front cover of the machine and remove the developer unit:

2. Take out the drum unit:

3. Carefully open the cover of the waste bin:

4. Remove toner.

5. Reassemble in reverse order.

If the error persists, then the reason is a malfunction of the toner sensor of the waste bin or the PWB board, and to solve this problem you should contact our Service Center

Yesterday turned out to be fruitful for me, which I am very happy about. Firstly, I finally played around with the Kyocera MFP settings, and secondly yesterday gave me ideas for at least a dozen articles that I will slowly write in my free time.

And so let's get started. Yesterday there was a client who had a Kyocera FS-1035MFP / DP MFP device that needed to be made networked for both printing and scanning.

Setting up network printing on Kuoser, in general, the task was very trivial, they downloaded the Drava and shoved it all, but kyocera scanning over the network took me about an hour to set up, and maybe more, and it was a very inconsistent menu and a meager description in the manual.

So let's move on to the description:

Kyocera network scan setup.

This completes the kyocera setup, the network scan setup is complete!

PS if you have an error while scanning, then with 100% probability the problem is only in these 4 points. re-read my recommendations and try again, if it doesn’t help write, we will try to quickly figure it out and help you!

How to use or how does the Kuocera / Kyocera network scanner work

We all enjoy life, and if it didn't work out, then write me or a comment on this article, it will understand!
