How many pages does Yandex index. Further on this page is identified and described the fastest and most reliable way to determine the number of indexed pages. Actions that affect the speed of indexing

Traffic from search engines - the most desirable for any resource. But for people to be able to find a site in search results, it must first be indexed. Some webmasters do not pay enough attention to this, hoping that search engines will find their site or its new pages themselves. Alas, you can wait a very long time.

The indexing of the site in Yandex is especially different here. If Google grabs a page literally in a matter of days, then the main search engine of the Runet without outside help may not pay attention to the site for months.

But everything is fixable. If you know how to proceed, indexing of pages by Yandex can occur several minutes after they appear. And the faster your entries appear in the database of this search engine, the faster their promotion will begin - the easier it will be to get visitors and gain popularity on the Internet.

How quickly does Yandex indexing a website?

All resources can be divided into several groups according to the speed of indexing their new pages:

  • 1. Fast indexing sites. These include primarily news portals and well-known forums. In just a few minutes, new records are included in the index, which is quite logical - the news remains news for a very short time. Also, a quick hit in the Yandex database is ensured by constantly updated trust resources. They've already won his trust with the quality of their content and age.
  • 2. Well indexed sites. These are the resources that have taught the search engine to update regularly. They are not necessarily trustworthy or old, they just constantly delight both users and search engines with new content. Yandex treats such sites well and the pages are out of the index for no more than a few days.
  • 3. Hardly indexed sites. This applies to new resources, especially if webmasters do not take any action to popularize them. In addition, sites that are not updated for a long time are poorly indexed. If you don't add new entries for several months, Yandex stops visiting the site - it will return when it pleases, you can wait a very long time.

Such is the classification. It is clear that it is conditional, based on the observations of webmasters and optimizers. Yandex will never tell anyone on what principle it indexes sites and how it determines who to visit and who is not worthy of its attention. But some very useful conclusions can be drawn from this division.

Which sites are quickly indexed by Yandex:

  • frequently updated: the more frequently records appear, the faster they get into the index;
  • trust: age, TIC, traffic, number of pages - the more, the higher Yandex's trust in the site, the more often a search engine robot comes to it.

Of course, other factors, such as the topic of the site, external links, behavioral factors... Therefore, no one will undertake to guarantee the quick appearance of pages in search results, even for trust sites. It is also not necessary that the newly-made site will wait for indexing in Yandex for months. Moreover, we ourselves can have some influence on this process.

How to index a site in Yandex faster?

To speed up indexing in Yandex, we recommend buying tweets on the twitterstock exchange, you can buy tweets from trust accounts for 3 rubles. The fast robot arrives very quickly

First of all, you need to add the site to the panel for Yandex webmasters (Yandex.Webmaster). So you notify the search engine about the appearance of a new resource. The process is simple, but very useful, especially since it will give you the opportunity to track how your site is perceived by Yandex.

In addition, you can add each new page in the addurilka (in the same Yandex.Webmaster item "Report a new site"). Although this is not a guarantee of indexing, it will not be superfluous.

  • create a sitemap: two types are best - HTML for users and XML for search engines. Thanks to this page, Yandex will be able to immediately see the structure of the site and all its records, which will allow it to quickly index everything;
  • do internal linking: links from one page to another lead the search engine throughout the resource, and it includes the records found in the index;
  • regularly update the site: teach Yandex that you constantly have new entries - and it will visit the resource more often.

To make indexing in Yandex faster, you need to attract a search robot to your site from other resources through external links:

  • 1. Announcement in social networks and blogging platforms. This is perhaps the most effective method speed up indexing in Yandex. So, for example, links from Twitter can lead a search engine spider to your site in a few minutes. Loves Yandex and his brainchild - Ya.ru blogs. VKontakte, LiveInternet, LiveJournal are also popular tools for fast indexing. It is clear that a lot depends on the promotion of an account or a blog - if it is outside the Yandex index, then you should not expect a link from it to help.
  • 2. Blog comments and forum posts. It is especially effective if these resources are well indexed - the robot will immediately follow the link to your site. This method is best suited when you need to add a new site to the Yandex index, because this process is quite laborious and it is irrational to use it to speed up the indexing of each new record.
  • 3. RSS-broadcast in specialized directories. Yandex visits some RSS directories quite often, so if you add your site there and they broadcast new entries, it will help speed up indexing.
  • 4. Adding to social bookmarks. MyMesto, Beaver Dobr, Delicious, Toodoo are the most famous of them. Search engines keep track of updates in these services, so your pages have every chance to get into the index quickly.
  • 5. Adding to the white catalogs of sites. It is especially good if your resource manages to get into Yandex.Catalog. This will already indicate the trust of the search engine in it, and therefore good indexing.
  • 6. Buying links. The most effective links will be from trust resources, as well as from news portals - they themselves are quickly indexed, will provide this to your site too. You can order links from blogs, for example, the same Ya.ru or LJ - they are inexpensive, but they work perfectly.

Of course, this list can be continued, supplemented and updated. Especially when you consider that search engines are constantly changing and improving their algorithms, which means that any of the methods may become irrelevant, or vice versa - to a greater extent contribute to the rapid indexing of the site in Yandex. But this is a good start for website promotion - using the listed methods, you can show your resource to search engines, and at the same time improve it and build up the link mass.

Website optimization is a multi-layered process. The result of imperfections and mistakes at each stage will be the reduction of all future work to slow or incomplete indexing of all pages of the site. Site indexing inherently depends on how the search engine crawlers handle your site. You probably already know that search robots are programs that crawl the site and fill the search engine's database with information for search. How to speed up website indexing and ensure its fast promotion in search engines?

Ways to quickly index a site

If you add your new web resource to the search engines you know it will happen much faster. Add to Yandex - http://webmaster.yandex.ru/addurl.xml, to Google - http://www.google.ru/intl/ru/addurl.html.

You need to create a sitemap. Register with webmaster.yandex.ru and www.google.com/webmasters. Specify your sitemap.xml file there.

Registration in social bookmarks and networks (bobrdobr.ru, memori.ru, twitter.com, vkontakte.ru, etc.) will help you to speed up the indexing of the site. There you can add different pages your site.

Start your blogs at my.ya.ru, blogspot.com, blogs.mail.ru, livejournal.com, etc. Add entries to them with links to the pages of your site. As new pages appear on the site, for their quick indexing by search engines, add links in your blogs to these pages.

It is worth registering in several popular directories and ratings. For example, registration on LiveInternet and Rambler TOP100 can speed up the indexing of a site due to the fact that robots often look in the TOPs.

Search bots love to visit popular blogs with their comments. At the same time, robots carefully monitor all links in blogs. Try visiting such blogs and leaving unobtrusive comments there with links. Try to follow the rules of the blog and insert links in specially designated places to avoid deleting your comment as spam.

Another similar tip for speeding up site indexing is comments on forums with a large. Just on the forums, by the way, it is absolutely not forbidden to insert links if they are related to your resource. Forums are visited by bots as well as blogs.

Methods of quick indexing of web resources by posting a large number of articles with links to your site on third-party resources are considered quite time-consuming, but popular. The laboriousness lies in writing a huge number of articles with interesting and relevant content. These articles serve a function similar to a directory of links.

It is necessary to build a clear and competent site structure. Its construction should be easy and convenient for search robots to work with site pages. This is not at all difficult to achieve. The principle is that links on all pages of the site direct the visitor from one page to another.

If your project contains a huge number of pages, then for quick site indexing, you should pay attention to the following method. The search engine robot reads and analyzes information, gradually moving through the pages of the site. With a fairly significant number of pages, it may simply not get to the part of the last pages, which are significantly removed from the main one. At the same time, the indexing of the site in search engines is deteriorating.
Ideal in this case is a tree-like clear structure of your site map, in which each branch will correspond to some subsection with fewer pages. Each page of the site, preferably, should be no more than three clicks away from the main page.

If separate pages search robots have not indexed the site, links to these pages should be scattered across third-party resources. When indexing sites with your links, the robot will definitely visit your pages.

If you are creating an online store, then each of your products (or group of products) will have its own website page. For this, there are ways to quickly index all pages with products of the store, which consist in placing links on each of these pages that point to pages with a similar type of product.

To index the site faster, it is necessary to ensure more frequent visits by robots to its pages. To achieve this, you will have to frequently update the site pages and add new information. And the most important thing is to fill the site with articles and texts with one hundred percent uniqueness.

Quite often, a new site cannot be found in Yandex. Even if you type its name in the search box. The reasons for this can be different. Sometimes search engines simply do not yet know that a new resource has appeared. To figure out what's the matter and solve the problem, you need to register the site in Yandex Webmaster.

What is site indexing in Yandex

First, let's figure out how search engines generally find out about new sites or changes to them. Yandex has special program, which is called search robot... This robot is surfing the Internet and looking for new pages. Sometimes he goes to old ones - he checks if something new has appeared on them.

When the robot finds a useful page, it adds it to its database. This base is called the search index. When we search for something in the search, we see sites from this base. Indexing is when a robot adds new documents to it.

A robot cannot go around the entire Internet every day. He doesn't have enough power for that. Therefore, he needs help - to report new pages or changes on old ones.

What is Yandex Webmaster and why is it needed

Yandex.Webmaster is an official service from Yandex. You need to add a site to it so that the robot knows about its existence. With its help, resource owners (webmasters) can prove that this is their site.

Also in the Webmaster you can see:

  • when and where the robot entered;
  • which pages he indexed and which he did not;
  • by what keywords people come from search;
  • are there any technical errors.

Through this service, you can customize the site: set the region, prices of goods, protect your texts from theft. You can ask the robot to re-enter the pages on which you made changes. Yandex Webmaster makes it easy to move to https or another domain.

How to add a new site to Yandex Webmaster

Go to the Webmaster's panel. Click Sign In. You can enter the login and password that you use to log into Yandex mail. If you don't have account, you have to register.

After logging in, you will be taken to a page with a list of added resources. If you have not used the service before, the list will be empty. To add a new resource, click the "+" button.

On next page enter your site address and confirm adding it.

At the last stage, you need to verify your rights - to prove to Yandex that you are the owner. There are several ways to do this.

How to verify the rights to a site in Yandex Webmaster

The easiest way to verify rights in Yandex Webmaster is to add a file to the site. To do this, click on the "HTML file" tab.

A small file is downloaded. You will need this file now, so save it somewhere where you can see it. For example, on the Desktop. Don't rename the file! You don't need to change anything in it.

Now upload this file to your website. Usually they use file managersbut for InSales users you don't need to do any of this. Just go to the back office, click "Files". Then at the top of the page - "Add file". Select the file you downloaded earlier.

Then return to the Yandex.Webmaster panel and click the "Check" button. After successful confirmation of access rights, your site will appear in the added list. Thus, you have informed Yandex Webmaster about the new site.

Meta tag Yandex Webmaster

Sometimes the method described above does not work, and the owners cannot verify the rights to the site in the Webmaster. In this case, you can try another way: add a line of code to the template.

In the Webmaster, go to the Meta Tag tab. You will see a line that needs to be added to the HTML code.

InSales users can contact technical support and ask to insert this code. This will be done as part of a free revision.

When they have done this, in the Webmaster, click the "Check" button. Congratulations, you have registered your site in the search engine!

Yandex Webmaster pre-configuration

The site has been added to the search, now the robot will definitely come to you and index it. It usually takes up to 7 days.

Add link to sitemap

In order for the robot to index the resource faster, add the sitemap.xml file to the Webmaster. This file contains the addresses of all pages of the resource.

Online stores on InSales have this file already configured and should be added to the Webmaster automatically. If it doesn't, add a link to your sitemap.xml under Indexing - Sitemap Files.

Check robots.txt

The robots.txt file specifies the pages that the robot does not need to visit. These are shopping cart, checkout, back office and other technical documents.

InSales creates robots.txt by default, which does not need to be changed. Just in case, we recommend that you check if there are any errors in the robots. To do this, go to "Tools" - "Robots.txt Analysis".

Set site region

On the page "Site Information" - "Regionality" you can specify the region of the site. For online stores, these are the cities, regions and countries where the purchased goods are delivered. If you don't have a store, but a directory or blog, then the whole world will be a region.

Set the sales region as shown in the screenshot:

What else is Webmaster useful for?

On the page " Search queries»You can see the phrases that come to you from the search.

The "Indexing" section displays information about when the robot was on the site and how many pages it found. The subsection "Moving a site" will help you if you decide to install and switch to https. The subsection "Page traversal" is also extremely useful. In it, you can indicate to the robot the pages on which the information has changed. Then, on the next visit, the robot will index them first.

On the "Products and Prices" page of the "Site Information" section, you can provide information about your online store. To do this, the resource must be configured to upload data about goods and prices in YML format. When correct setting the search results of product pages will display prices and shipping information.

If you want to improve the visibility of your company in Yandex services, you should use the section “ Useful services". In Yandex.Directory, you can specify the phone number and address of your store, opening hours. This information will be displayed directly in Yandex search results. It will also add you to Yandex.Maps.

Yandex.Metrica is another important tool for the owner of an Internet resource that displays traffic data. Statistics and dynamics of website traffic are displayed in tables, charts and graphs convenient for analysis.

After connecting to the Yandex.Webmaster and Yandex.Metrica services, you will receive a sufficient amount of information to manage the site's positions and traffic. These are indispensable tools for site owners who want to promote their resources in the most popular search engine in Russia.

The next step in website promotion is through the similar Search Console service.

Site indexing in search engines is important for every webmaster. Indeed, for the quality promotion of the project, you should monitor its indexing. I will describe the process of checking indexation in Yandex.

Indexing in Yandex

The Yandex robot scans sites day after day in search of something "tasty". He collects in the top results those sites and pages that, in his opinion, most deserve it. Well, or just Yandex wanted it that way, who knows

We, as real webmasters, will adhere to the theory that the better the site is made, the higher its position and more traffic.

You can check the indexing of a site in Yandex in several ways:

  • using Yandex Webmaster;
  • using search engine operators;
  • using extensions and plugins;
  • using online services.

Indexing site pages in Yandex Webmaster

To understand what the search engine has dug up on our site, you need to go to our favorite Yandex Webmaster in the "Indexing" section.

Crawl statistics in Yandex Webmaster

First, let's go to the "Bypass statistics" item. The section allows you to find out which pages of your site the robot crawls. You can identify the addresses that the robot could not load due to the unavailability of the server on which the site is located, or due to errors in the content of the pages themselves.

The section contains information about the pages:

  • new - pages that have recently appeared on the site or the robot has just visited them;
  • changed - pages that Yandex search engine has seen before, but they have changed;
  • crawl history - the number of pages that Yandex bypassed taking into account the server response code (200, 301, 404, and others).

The chart shows new (green) and changed (blue) pages.

And this is a graph of the bypass history.

This item displays the pages that Yandex found.

N / a - URL is not known to the robot, i.e. the robot had never met her before.

What conclusions can be drawn from the screen:

  1. Yandex did not find the address / xenforo / xenforostyles /, which, in fact, is logical, since this page no longer exists.
  2. Yandex found the address / bystrye-ssylki-v-yandex-webmaster /, which is also quite logical, since the page is new.

So, in my case, Yandex Webmaster reflects what I expected to see: what is not needed - Yandex deleted, and what is needed - Yandex added. So everything is fine with the bypass, there are no locks.

Pages in search

The search results are constantly changing - new sites are added, old ones are deleted, places in the search results are adjusted, and so on.

You can use the information in the "Pages in search" section:

  • to track changes in the number of pages in Yandex;
  • to keep track of added and excluded pages;
  • to find out the reasons for excluding a site from search results;
  • to obtain information about the date of the visit to the site by the search engine;
  • for information on changing search results.

This section is needed to check the indexing of pages. Here Yandex Webmaster shows pages added to search results. If all your pages have been added to the section (a new one will be added within a week), then everything is in order with the pages.

Checking the number of pages in the Yandex index using operators

In addition to Yandex Webmaster, you can check page indexing using operators directly in the search itself.

We will use two operators:

  • "Site" - search in all subdomains and pages of the specified site;
  • "Host" - search through pages hosted on this host.

Let's use the "site" operator. Note that there is no space between the operator and the site. 18 pages are in Yandex search.

Let's use the "host" operator. 19 pages indexed by Yandex.

Checking indexing with plugins and extensions

Check site indexing using services

There are a lot of such services. I'll show you two.

Serphunt

Serphunt is an online website analysis service. They have a useful tool for checking page indexing.

You can check up to 100 site pages at the same time using two search engines - Yandex and Google.

We press "Start check" and after a few seconds we get the result:

For the convenience of webmasters and search engines, a special sitemap format was developed. This is a list of links to inner pages site, presented in XML format. This format is also supported by Yandex. In a special section of the service, you can upload a sitemap for your site. This will influence the priority of the crawling robot on some pages of your site. For example, if some pages are updated much more often than others, you should specify this information so that the Yandex robot can plan its work correctly.

Yandex indexes the main types of documents distributed on the Web. But there are limitations that determine how the document will be indexed, and whether it will be indexed at all:

  • A large number of cgi parameters in a URL, a large number of duplicate subdirectories, and a too large total URL length can lead to poor document indexing.

    For indexing, the size of the document is important - documents larger than 10MB are not indexed.

    Flash indexing:

    1. * .swf files are indexed if there is a direct link to them or they are embedded in html tags object or embed;

      if flash contains useful content, original html the document can be found by the content indexed in the swf file.

  • IN pDF documents only text content is indexed. The text presented in the form of pictures is not indexed.

    Yandex correctly indexes documents in the Open Office XML and OpenDocument formats (in particular, documents Microsoft Office and Open Office). However, it should be borne in mind that the introduction of support for new formats can take some time.

    Tags are allowed and , the Yandex robot indexes the content loaded into them and allows you to find the original document by the content of the frames.
