The phone finds my network, I select it, enter the password. “Connecting to my network” is displayed after “Obtaining an IP address on behalf of my network” and at this moment it immediately turns off and does not connect to this network anymore. It becomes "out of range, stored in memory."
I tried to find a solution to this problem on the Internet, I tried everything using the phone settings, but nothing helped. I didn’t want to believe that there was something wrong with my newly purchased phone :) So I read somewhere that this was probably a problem with some modem settings and settled on the idea that it would be necessary somehow reset all modem settings and configure them again... So six months have passed... :)
Last week, relatives came to visit and Denis, my cousin, took me to look at the phone. I asked how it works, I described this problem to him... And he immediately told me “Your diashsypi is not configured” and fixed everything in 5 minutes!
So, solution: enable the DHCP server in the modem settings.
For this purpose in address bar enter http://192.168.1.1/ from any browser, specify the login and password for the modem. And look for the treasured DHCP letters in the modem settings.

After enabling DHCP, my HTC Wildfire S immediately connected to the Wi-Fi access point!
