Flashing custom firmware and Gapps on HTC

Moving on to the most important thing - installing custom firmware from earlier installed TWRP Recovery.

HTC firmware One V is quite a chore and takes time. It will take place in several stages: unlocking the bootloader, installing recovery, installing the firmware, installing the kernel (if necessary).
First of all, we disable antivirus and firewalls on the PC. In the phone settings in the "For Developers" item, turn on "Debugging via USB". In the "Power" item, turn off "Fast Boot". You also need to download and install drivers for the phone, it is best to download a proprietary program for hTC phones with a pack of firewood: HTC Sync Manager.

Stage 1.

Unlocking the bootloader.

1. Download the Android.zip archive and extract 4 files from it to the C: \\ Android folder.
2. We look for the site www.htcdev.com and register on it.
3. After registration, go to www.htcdev.com/bootloader and in the drop-down list on the right “Select Your Device” select the item “All Others Supported Models”, click “Begin Unlock Bootloader”:

4. Next, we agree, put a checkmark everywhere:

5. Next, you need to enter the phone into Fastboot mode. To do this, hold down the power button until the phone turns off completely and immediately press the volume down button. The phone should turn on in bootloader mode. Use the volume buttons to select the Fastboot item in the menu and hold down the power button.
6. We connect the phone to the computer via a USB cable. We are waiting for the necessary drivers for the phone to be determined.
7. Run the command line windows string as administrator and enter the following commands:
cd c: \\ Android
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
8. An array of code should appear. It needs to be copied and pasted at www.htcdev.com. In order to copy the text from the command line, you need to open the right mouse button context menu, select the "Mark" item, select the desired section of the text and press again right button mouse.

Paste the copied code into the field on the site (Step 7) and click Submit:

9. On mailbox, specified during registration on the site should come a letter with the attached file “Unlock_code.bin”. Save it and copy it to the C: \\ Android folder.
10. In the command line, enter the following:
fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
If everything is correct, the process should start and upon its completion the image on the phone display should change:

Use the volume button to go to “Yes” and confirm with the power button.
The bootloader is unlocked.

Stage 2.

Installing custom Recovery.

1. Since all the settings have been reset, we again go into the phone's settings, turn on debugging via USB and turn off fast boot.
2. Download TWRP recovery. Rename the downloaded file to “recovery.img” and copy it to the C: \\ Android folder.
3. Again we enter the phone into Fastboot mode and connect it to the computer.
4. Launch command line from the administrator and enter:
cd c: / android
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Everything, the recovery must be stitched.

Stage 3.

Installing the firmware.

1. We need a microSD flash drive with a capacity of at least 1 GB. Copy the firmware file through the adapter to the USB flash drive. In our case, the custom firmware myONEv_RC9.5_FX + is used (we also copy this Bluetooth_fix2 bluetooth fix to the USB flash drive). We insert the flash drive into the phone.
2. We enter Bootloader, select the Recovery item and hold down the power button. TWRP will start:

3. The first thing to do after the recovery starts is to clean the system. To do this, select Wipe, then Advanced Wipe and swipe to the right. We go back to the main menu.
4. Now we install the firmware. We select the Install item. From the list of folders and files, select the file of our firmware myONEv_RC9.5_FX + .zip. Swipe to Confirm Flash.
5. Installing the firmware is similar to installing a regular program, we agree with everything and wait until the installation is completed. Then click Reboot Now.
6. We enter the recovery again and, in a similar way, install a fix for bluetooth from a flash drive. The Bluetooth_fix2.zip file.
The firmware is installed.

Stage 4.

Installing a custom kernel.

1. Download custom kernel boot-TK-USB. Copy the boot.img file to the C: \\ Android folder.
2. We enter the phone into Fastboot mode and connect it to the computer.
3. Run the command line as administrator and enter the following commands:
cd c: \\ android
fastboot flash boot boot.img
4. We are waiting for the completion of the process and reboot the phone.
The custom kernel is installed.
