Rating of the best budget laptops. MSI GS60 Ghost Pro Gaming Lightbook. The best budget gaming laptops

And discrete graphics, it was the best gaming laptop ever. There were so few of them that, in general, no one wondered if they were good? The only thing that worried the owners of these devices, will they be able to run Crysis on it?

Nowadays, gaming laptops differ significantly from their predecessors. Yes, all of them can run Windows 10, but now there is a choice. You can buy an ultra-thin laptop powered by Nvidia Max-Q technology, or you can get a powerful monster that can easily replace your desktop PC. The new Razer Blade has already been released, and manufacturers are vying with each other to boast of new products at Computex 2018; Now is the time to finally figure out what the top modern gaming laptops look like.

1. MSI GS65 Stealth

Thin. Beautiful. Powerful

pros:

 • Nice, slim design

Minuses:

 • The lower part is very hot

Intel's processor family that brought the world of top-end laptops Coffee lakeThe MSI GS65 is packed with power to its very core. Nothing beats its eighth generation i7-8750H and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics. And last but not least, thanks to its austere design, you can take it with you wherever you go without worrying about your nerdy hobby.

2. Asus ROG Zephyrus GX501

Less than an inch thick and still powerful

CPU: Intel Core i7 | Video: RAM: 16GB | Display: 15.6 "1920 × 1080 Anti-Glare 120Hz G-Sync | Memory size: 512GB M.2 PCIe x4 SSD

pros:

 • Amazingly powerful
 • Innovative quiet cooling system

Minuses:

Packed with Nvidia Max-Q technology, this laptop combines the renowned thinness of an ultrabook with the performance of a gaming PC, giving you the best of both worlds. Although it performed very poorly in battery life tests, the Asus Zephyrus GX501 is the clear leader when it comes to portability and style. Moreover, it is practically silent, which is especially pleasant if you are annoyed by the hum of coolers.

3. Asus ROG G703GI

Heavyweight

CPU: Intel Core i7-i9 | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB GDDR5X VRAM) | RAM: 64GB | Display: 17.3 "1920 × 1080 144Hz | Memory size: 3 x 512GB SSD (M.2 RAID 0), 2TB HDD

pros:

 • Insane power
 • Large display

Minuses:

 • Incredibly expensive

In recent years, laptop manufacturers have been striving to make them thinner and lighter. But the Asus ROG G703GI, charged with the fiery power of an Intel Core i9, contemptuously ignores trends. It's just huge. And dear. Highly. True, at the same time he is able to challenge the best gaming computers. The main thing, when leaving the house with him, is not to forget the exercises.

4. Razer Blade

MacBook Pro Gaming Rival

CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB GDDR5 VRAM) | RAM: 16GB | Display: up to 15.6 ”3840 × 2160 60Hz | Memory size: 512GB M.2 SSD

pros:

 • Impressive autonomy
 • Optional 4K display

Minuses:

 • Coolers make noise under load
 • Limited upgrade options

Yes, it has a very cocky name and cannot be upgraded, but the Razer Blade is definitely made to please the eye. In addition to an incredibly long-lasting battery, it has the ability to run 4K games using an additional monitor and external graphics of the Razer Core V2 and Razer Core X. Or you can spend money on an optional native 4K display. An excellent feature, whatever one may say.

5.Dell XPS 15 2-in-1

Portable power

CPU: Intel Core i5-i7 | Video: Radeon RX Vega M GL Graphics 4GB HBM2 | RAM: 8GB | Display: 15.6 "3840x2160 60Hz InfinityEdge anti-glare touchscreen | Memory size: 512GB PCIe SSD

pros:

 • Impressive performance
 • Ultra-thin

Minuses:

 • High price

If you want a gaming laptop of the best, but also ultraportable, check out the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1. Equipped with an Intel processor of the Kaby Lake family, it can compete with its congeners with the GTX 1050 on board, without having full-fledged discrete graphics. Gaming power in a comfortable and beautiful case - what could be better? Unless, of course, you are ready to put up with the noise of the fans.

6. Asus ROG Strix GL502

It's hard not to love a laptop like this

CPU: Intel Core i7 | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 - 1070 | RAM: 16GB | Display: 15.6 "1920 × 1080 IPS | Memory size: 128 - 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD

pros:

 • Handles Full HD gaming
 • Juicy bright screen

Minuses:

 • Mediocre autonomy

The Asus ROG Strix GL502 does not boast an innovative design, its black and red coloring is more reminiscent of Halloween, but, without a doubt, it performs well in games in Full HD resolution. We ran it at full speed in Overwatch at maximum settings, and the fps never dropped below 60. The battery is so-so, but the screen, performance and on-board sound are beyond praise.

7. Gigabyte Aero 15

Thin. Easy. Powerful

CPU: Intel Core i7-8750H | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) | RAM: 8 - 16GB | Display: 15.6 "1920 × 1080 LCD anti-glare | Memory size: 512GB SSD

pros:

 • Ultra slim and very lightweight

Minuses:

 • Bad webcam location

What usually comes to mind when it comes to gaming laptops? Huge, chubby devices that are awkward to take out of a bag in public. Gigabyte Aero 15, without ceremony, gets rid of such prejudices. It carries an 8th Gen Intel i7-8750H six-core i7-8750H and a GTX 1060 while maintaining the thickness of the ultrabook. And believe me, he is as good in games as he is in work.

8. Alienware 17 R5

Dominated by the power of the i9

CPU: Intel Core i9-8950HK | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 (8GB GDDR5X VRAM) | RAM: 32GB | Display: 17.3 "2560 × 1440 144Hz | Memory size: 246GB PCIe M.2 SSD, 1TB HDD

pros:

 • Cosmic power
 • Amazing 17 '' display

Minuses:

 • Weighs almost 5 kg

Since the day Intel introduced its i9-8950HK processor to the world, we have been confident that it will rightfully take its place in the best gaming laptops of this year. Less than a month later, our confidence was confirmed: the handsome Alienware 17 R5 with the aforementioned processor and an overclocked GTX 1080 on board appeared on the market. If you don't mind its size and weight (almost five kilograms!), Then this laptop will effortlessly cope with everything that you do not start on it. The main thing is not to tear your back.

9. Alienware 13 R3

Behold the world's first OLED gaming laptop

CPU: Intel Core i5-i7 | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 | RAM: 8 - 16GB | Display: 13.3 "1366 × 768 TN - QHD 2560 × 1440 OLED touchscreen | Memory size: 180 - 512GB SSD

pros:

 • Stunning OLED display
 • Improved hinge design

Minuses:

 • Weighs almost 5 kg
 • Low autonomy

Unlike its siblings of the same size, the Alienware 13 R3 features improved hinge designs. Thanks to her, the cooling was able to be carried out beyond the screen, which made the case of the laptop itself thinner, up to 22 millimeters. Unfortunately, this also means that it will not be easy to find a bag for him. In addition to the temptation of a full-fledged Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, the laptop also attracts with its stunning OLED touchscreen display.

10. Razer Blade Pro

Finally, a portable desktop replacement

CPU: Intel Core i7 | Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) - 1080 (8GB GDDR5X) | RAM: 16 - 32GB | Display: 17.3 ”1920 × 1080 120Hz matte IPS - 3840 × 2160 IGZO touchscreen G-Sync | Memory size: 512GB - 2TB PCIe SSD

pros:

 • Trackpad right
 • Complete replacement for desktop PC

Minuses:

Finally, Razer has created a complete replacement for your desktop that won't be too burdensome on the road. Its thickness is less than 23 millimeters, while it houses either a 17-inch display with support for 1080p resolution and 120Hz scanning, or a 4K touchscreen display with support for G-Sync. Not to mention an ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard the likes of which have never existed. And the cherry on top is the right-hand trackpad placement, for added convenience. Enjoy.

And let evil tongues argue that a gaming laptop is a waste of money, but as a true gamer, you understand that this is a necessary and profitable investment that will allow you to play anywhere, anytime ..

10. Compact gaming computer EON15-X Origin

Advantages:

 • original design;
 • rainbow keyboard backlight;
 • acceptable price;
 • desktop-class performance.

Disadvantages:

 • small viewing angles.

It is not in vain that EON15-X Origin takes the honorable tenth of our top: with a fairly compact size of 15.6 inches, it stores a very productive Skylake series processor under the case. This laptop for gamers can rival gaming PCs in terms of processing power (and even beat many budget models). At the same time, the price for different configurations ranges from $ 1700-2500.

The compact gaming laptop EON15-X Origin will be a true friend not only for gamers, but also for users who edit videos, because its processor quickly copes with resource-intensive tasks that other laptops have been thinking about for ages. It goes without saying that modern games on the EON15-X run smoothly. For example, GTA V at ultra-graphics settings consistently produces 30 frames per second. And the battery life in the extreme load mode is quite good - 2.5 hours. And with less power-consuming processes, a game laptop will work up to 5 hours.

9. Powerful laptop for gamers Gigabyte P35X v5

Advantages:

 • performance pulling out 4K games;
 • thin and lightweight compared to other gaming laptops.

Disadvantages:

 • average quality dynamics;
 • poor ergonomics;
 • the drive is located under the touchpad.

If you want to play comfortably in 4K, then this laptop is for you! Just immediately get headphones with good sound for it: the touchpad is not terrible here, but it is too sensitive, and the sound of the speakers is very mediocre. And they will help you plunge into the world of 4K gaming intel processor i7 and 8GB graphics card from Nvidia, which can handle the load. On the ultra in GTA V, the laptop shows 30 fps, and this is a decent result.

The Gigabyte P35X v5 also boasts a battery life of 3.5 hours at maximum load. The price of the issue is from $ 2100.

8. Budget laptop for toys Lenovo Ideapad Y700

Advantages:

 • stylish design;
 • battery life.

Disadvantages:

 • strong heating under load;
 • terrible trackpad keys.

Externally, Lenovo Ideapad Y700 is the very embodiment of a gaming laptop: stylish angularity, aggressive keyboard backlighting, non-trivial display mount. And inside lies the gaming power: at least an Intel i5 core and 2 GB of DDR5 video memory as standard. Of course, for gaming purposes, it would be reasonable to take the option already upgraded to the i7 core and 4 GB of video memory.

You get a good gaming laptop, although it won't handle 4K gaming. To be honest, the ultra-settings in Grand Theft Auto 5 for Lenovo Ideapad Y700 are contraindicated: in this mode, it produces only 13 frames per second. Although in Shadow of Mordor at ultra it shows a stable 33 fps. Battery life - 3.5 hours for games, over 4 hours for movies and surfing the Internet.

7. Gaming laptop with a cool video card Asus ROG Strix GL502

Advantages:

 • bright screen;
 • powerful sound.

Disadvantages:

 • battery life.

The Asus ROG Strix GL502 is a worthy gaming laptop. Unfortunately, it cannot boast of a memorable design: this combination of black plastic with orange illumination is already worn out. But external beauty is nothing compared to the power that lies inside the case: not every gaming laptop is equipped with an Nvidia GTX 970M graphics card! And the display, in addition to good viewing angles, shows a bright and juicy picture with deep blacks.

And hardware-demanding video games do not slow down on the Asus ROG Strix GL502: at ultra-settings, GTA V shows 29 fps, and Overwatch - at least 60. But the battery life is a little less than we would like - 3 hours for games, 5 hours for video.

6. MSI GS60 Ghost Pro Gaming Lightbook

Advantages:

 • keyboard with pleasant key travel;
 • performance.

Disadvantages:

 • short-term autonomous work;
 • price.

The MSI GS60 Ghost Pro is one of the thinnest and lightest gaming laptops around. But don't assume the manufacturer has donated computing power for the sake of weight reduction: no, this laptop's power is great. It has a sixth-generation i7 core, and you won't find anything better until it arrives.

The performance of the video card is also at the level, in GTA V at maximum graphics the frame rate dropped to 35 fps, and in Bioshock Infinite - to 54. The only problem was the battery life: only 2 hours for games or about 3.5 hours for watching videos. And, of course, in the segment of gaming laptops, the MSI GS60 Ghost Pro is not the cheapest, its cost starts at $ 1,800.

5.Gaming laptop with a large screen Asus ROG G752

Advantages:

 • memorable design;
 • top specification;
 • high performance.

Disadvantages:

 • battery life.

The Asus ROG G752 stands out from other gaming laptops with its aggressive design with illuminated lid and aluminum accents. The display is slightly larger than today's other top-of-the-line contenders and can please with rich color reproduction. But there is also a fly in the ointment in this barrel of honey: it absolutely does not support!

The top filling proved itself worthy in games: in GTA 5 on the most high settings graphics are stable 24 fps. But with the battery life, everything is sad: when the game is running, the laptop is completely discharged in just 1 hour and 50 minutes, and when using the Internet - in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

4. Powerful and lightweight Razer Blade gaming laptop

Advantages:

 • long battery life;
 • connector for an additional video card.

Disadvantages:

 • average graphics.

Most gamers don't even consider an Ultrabook as a gaming machine. They are usually right, but not with the Razer Blade: this little one is not as simple as it seems. Its graphics card is capable of pulling serious games and is made on the Maxwell architecture. And if this is not enough for you, then for demanding gamers there is an additional mount Razer Core, with which you can connect any video card to your laptop (even from a desktop PC)!

It would seem that resource-intensive games will quickly drain the battery of this kid, but no - in the game mode, he lasted 3 hours and 35 minutes, and in the video mode - almost 6 hours. True, modern games on ultra-settings are barely capable of this ultrabook: in GTA V, the frame rate drops to 22 fps, but, as we know, this can be cured by connecting a more powerful video card.

3. Super productive laptop Origin EON17-SLX

Advantages:

 • performance;
 • surround sound speakers.

Disadvantages:

 • heavy (almost 5 kg);
 • battery life.

The Origin EON17-SLX laptop can be called a portable desktop PC without a twinge of conscience. It has both high performance (and thanks to the wide screen, this laptop is suitable for work in Lightroom, for example), and a weight comparable to a "desktop" - about 5 kg.

Yes, looking at the EON17-SLX benchmarks, one cannot help but rejoice: with ultra-settings in the fifth GTA, the laptop produces excellent 41 fps. But the energy consumption of this animal machine is exorbitant: the battery is drained in just 2 hours! So with such a laptop you will not get far from the outlet. But it can be used as a complete replacement for a gaming PC.

2. Gaming laptop replacing MSI GT80 Titan gaming PC

Advantages:

 • easy to upgrade;
 • authentic mechanical keyboard.

Disadvantages:

 • it is inconvenient to work by placing on your knees;
 • heavy (4.5 kg);
 • very short battery life.

MSI GT80 Titan is another laptop that can replace a desktop PC. True, for the same money (the price of the basic configuration starts at $ 3500) you can have a gaming computer with better performance... But if portability is your thing, then take a closer look at this laptop.

The MSI GT80 Titan has two video cards, which means only one thing - an almost doubled increase in graphics performance. And the benchmarks confirm this: cranking the settings in GTA V to ultra-level, we got an enviable 60 frames per second. True, the picture was spoiled by rare subsidence up to 36 fps. But with the battery life of this Titan, like the Origin EON17-SLX, everything is bad: it lasted only 1 hour and 55 minutes.

1. Best gaming laptop Alienware 17

Advantages:

 • the ability to connect a third-party video card;
 • high-quality display.

Disadvantages:

 • high price.

So welcome to our top pick - the Alienware 17 Gaming Laptop! Even though production of this series started back in 2015, the Alienware 17 beat all competitors in the 2016 build. And even though it will cost $ 3000, it can be called a full-fledged gaming laptop.

Firstly, everything is in order with the performance: in the fifth part of GTA on ultra-settings, it makes it comfortable to play at 32 frames per second. And, secondly, the battery with such intensive work will last for 3 hours and 30 minutes.

To buy an inexpensive but powerful one, you must rely on certain selection criteria.

We have collected these criteria and selected 10 of the most inexpensive models that you can buy right now. It will be interesting!

What to start from

To understand what to rely on when choosing a gaming laptop, that is, what generally makes a particular model gaming, it is best to take a look at system requirements for today's most demanding games.

One of the authoritative gaming sites, vsemmorpg.ru has kindly collected a list of such games for gamers.

As you can see, only three parameters appear everywhere:

With the first two characteristics, everything is clear. As for the video card, the above NVIDIA model has 6 GB of video memory and 8 GHz frequency.

AMD has 8GB of memory and the same frequency... Hence, we conclude that at least 6 GB of video memory and 8 GHz video card frequency can be added to the above requirements.

All this directly affects fps (it is the number of frames per second). Therefore, we have chosen the optimal characteristics. We managed to find a lot of models from them, but we chose only those that are cheaper than the rest.

Table 1. Characteristics of selected notebooks
Name Screen RAM, GB Drive, GB Autonomy, hours Price, thousand rubles
Acer Predator 15 15.6 inch16 GB DDR41256 (HDD + SSD)3 100
Alienware 17 R4 17.3 inch16 GB DDR41128 GB (HDD + SSD)5 99.9

DELL INSPIRON 7577 15 inch16 GB DDR41256 GB (HDD + SSD)3 79.99
Acer Predator Helios 300 17.3 inch8 GB DDR41 TB (HDD)7 72

It is worth noting that all selected models have a FullHD screen resolution, that is, 1920 × 1080.

Also all of them have a matte finish and the same type - TFT IPS.

It is the most optimal in terms of price-quality ratio.

Using other types would make these computers an order of magnitude more expensive.

Acer Predator 15

An excellent gaming sample with a percentage and that very optimal GeForce GTX 1060 card.

Above we talked about what exactly this model considered optimal for games today (based on system requirements).

As for the processor, the Acer Predator 15 uses the 7700HQ with 1 MB of L2 cache and 6 MB of L3 cache.

Initially, after purchase, you will use the operating room windows system 10.

Today it is the best option. All games are sharpened under this OS. The screen is classic - TFT IPS and 15.6 inches.

 • there is a 256 GB SSD disk, which a priori increases the speed of the computer (although it works in combination with a 1 TB HDD);
 • 6000 mAh battery, which provides 3 hours of work without charging;
 • there are HDMI and DisplayPort connectors.
 • considerable weight - 3.7 kg;
 • the design is rather weak - the device looks somewhat old (but this is subjective).

Alienware 17 R4

In this case, we are talking about a model with the same processor and video card as the Acer Predator 15.

However, this is true for almost all laptops in our TOP.

At first you will use, which can be reinstalled at any time.

The computer looks more classic than the previous model.

It is also different big screen - 17.3 inches diagonal.

However, the picture quality will be slightly worse than in the Acer Predator 15, since the models have the same resolution. But the user will not notice this.

 • SSD disk with a capacity of 128 GB;
 • alienware Graphics Amplifier Port, 1/8 ″ headphone port (configurable for mic / analog audio line in);
 • metal case.
 • heavy weight - 4.42 kg;
 • sharp edges;
 • flashing on the screen;
 • not really good quality assembly;
 • crooked software.

Alienware 15 R3

The previous model is a modification of this one. They have almost the same appearance, if you do not take into account some minor points.

The Alienware 15 R3 also has 8GB of RAM, while the e 17 R4 has 16GB.

Also, the developers have achieved more battery life in the newer model.

Here we have 4.5 hours of battery life, which is also quite good.

 • SSD drive that speeds up the computer (128 GB);
 • good picture quality - better than 17 R4;
 • the presence of buttons for macros;
 • powerful iron.
 • still heavy - 3.49 kg;
 • weak speaker system;
 • noisy cooling system, with which you sometimes have to suffer.

HP OMEN 17-an009ur

An incredibly powerful gaming laptop with 12GB of RAM.

Thanks to this, as well as the presence of some other elements, the operating speed of this model is really high.

Any modern game on this sample will work without any problems.

With all this there is an internal DVD-RW optical drive, so if someone wants to remember the past and work with disks, this can be done quite simply.

Particular attention should also be paid to battery life. The HP OMEN 17-an009ur has this figure of 12.75 hours!

That's more than any other laptop on our list.

 • network card 1000 Mbps;
 • there are USB 3.1 connectors;
 • 75 hours of battery life (!);
 • very interesting design;
 • powerful cooling system;
 • lovely Bang sound
 • soft keys on the left.
 • noise at high loads, fans sometimes work like turbines, making a roar;
 • considerable weight - 3.78 kg;
 • it is impossible to change the color and level of illumination of the buttons;
 • unusual size (423x304x33 mm), which makes it difficult to fit a laptop to a laptop.

MSI GT62VR 7RE Dominator Pro

Here is a processor already familiar to us, but an unusual video card -. It is slightly better in performance than the GTX 1060.

The memory here is 8192 MB GDDR5, which is higher than in the previous generation. All of the above models had a weight problem.

Still, some users will not be able to carry 3.5-4 kg with them all day, for example, gentle and beautiful girls.

The weight of this computer is 2.94 kg - also a lot, but still better than others.

The dimensions are standard - 390x266x39.8 mm, so the device will fit into a bag from another model.

 • metal case, Kensington lock slot;
 • network card 1000 Mbps;
 • uSB 3.1 Type-C and S / PDIF inputs;
 • high build quality;
 • great software.
 • 1 TB HDD (I would like to see an SSD to achieve higher performance);
 • high probability of coolers breakdown, it gets hot.

Lenovo Legion Y720

Once again, we're back to the tried and tested standard - 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD keep things running and loading smoothly.

Lenovo Legion Y720 has almost the same specifications as most of the reviewed samples.

It has a fairly high-quality assembly - nothing staggers, no backlash and similar things that spoil the overall impression of use.

But there is a spectacular design and keyboard backlighting.

The attachment loop stands out especially. The device looks very impressive.

However, it does not have any plastic parts. All in all, Lenovo Legion Y720 is beautiful and powerful!

 • the case is easily soiled (however, like the vast majority of modern laptops);
 • small flashes may be seen at the edges of the screen;
 • modest battery life;
 • problems with software, in particular with drivers.

HP OMEN 15-ce015ur

The HP OMEN 15-ce015ur weighs less than most previous designs at 2.62 kg. Such a laptop can be carried with you all day, even for weak girls.

It uses a classic processor and also the usual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card.

The design of the HP OMEN 15-ce015ur is more familiar to the average user.

The developers tried to do something that would not cause even a slight shock to the user, as it was with the same Alienware, but at the same time it was effective, and they did it well.

 • to some, the operation of this model may seem noisy;
 • can sometimes overheat, resulting in throttling and noise.

ASUS ROG Strix GL703VM

An absolutely unremarkable model when it comes to gaming laptops.

As you can see from table 1, the characteristics of the ASUS ROG Strix GL703VM are quite standard.

We have a GTX 1060 video card, Core i7 percent, for 1128 GB.

Interestingly, different sites give different characteristics of this sample.

For example, one resource says that there is pre-installed Windows 10, and the other states that there is no operating system in the ASUS ROG Strix GL703VM at all.

In any case, a really inexpensive but productive device that gamers definitely need to pay attention to.

Many of us love computer games, but not everyone is able to enjoy them without compromise. So that without fuzzy graphics, incomplete screen mode, "jerky" gameplay or problems with the launch of the game. And it's all about the hardware that is required for modern games. Of course, a real gamer will confidently say (and will be partly right) that no, even the best, gaming laptop can be compared to a gaming computer, but a desktop cannot be stuffed into a bag and enjoy your favorite game anywhere you are. ...

Minimum requirements for gaming laptops

When planning to buy a good gaming laptop, keep in mind that the name “gaming laptop” is not suitable for every device. The launch of the mobile versions of GeForce Pascal graphics cards at once swept the winners of the ratings of gaming laptops from the pedestals of the past years: indeed, the new video cards have become not only faster, but also colder. And for notebooks, lower power consumption and lower power consumption are critical. So the choice at the present moment can be described simply: do you need a fairly budget "laptop" with the ability to play comfortably without the need to twist the quality to the maximum? Look towards models with GTX 1050 and fresh i 5-i 7 processors. Anything faster? Here it is already worth thinking about the GTX 1060 or 1070, which will perfectly reveal their capabilities with the Intel Core i 7 older models. Well, in the top, no doubt, the GTX 1080 and even laptops with video cards combined in SLI.

However, do not forget that AMD clearly wants to undermine the former monopoly of Intel and Nvidia in the gaming market. Ryzen and RX-based laptops are still exotic, but the new products on the market are definitely worth watching.

The main thing - do not forget about high-quality cooling: in games more difficult than "Klondike" and "Minesweeper" the quality of cooling of the processor and video card is of decisive importance for a laptop. You should not choose either excessively noisy models that can tire your hearing after an hour of playing, nor those where, for the sake of compactness, the cooling system drives the processor to the brink of throttling even with fresh thermal paste and no dust in the fans.

And, of course, there are no extra watt-hours in the battery: if 50-60 watt-hours are still acceptable for "younger" gaming models, then 80 will not seem like much to the top models.

So, what are the best gaming laptops offered to the Russian gaming enthusiast in late 2017 and early 2018?

2018 will delight us with a number of high-profile game releases. In February, the long-awaited role-playing Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released, in March the 5th part of Far Cry appeared, and of course many were waiting for the long-awaited 1.0 update in World of Tanks on a new engine and with new graphics. Not released yet but will appear this year:

 • Civilization VI Rise and Fall
 • Metro Exodus
 • State of decay 2
 • God of war 2
 • Red dead redemption 2
 • World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

And this is not the whole list of premieres. All of these games are more than worthy of a hardware upgrade for them. Most desktop assemblies will likely require a replacement video card and possibly a processor. When it comes to gaming laptops, the best option for most gamers is likely to be a new gaming machine, as the demands have increased significantly even compared to last year.

Recently, we have already devoted one material to the topic of choosing a gaming laptop and the requirements for modern games. Today we will pay more attention to specific laptop models.

Especially for those who are looking for a new gaming laptop, the site experts have compiled their own rating of the best gaming models. When comparing, not only the power of the components was estimated, but also the final price. Thus, our top 10 gaming laptops are the top 10 best gaming machines in terms of price / quality for the spring of 2018. The list looks like this:

 • 10. ASUS VivoBook 15 X542UN - the most inexpensive laptop in the budget segment
 • 9.Asus ROG FX553VD - an inexpensive laptop for online gaming
 • 8.Asus ROG Strix GL553 - Inexpensive Gaming Laptop with IPS Screen

 • 1.MSI GT73EVR 7RF Best Gaming Laptop

And now about each in more detail.

10. ASUS VivoBook 15 X542UN - the cheapest laptop for gaming

This laptop came to the tenth place in our rating solely due to its low price and, as a result, high popularity. At the time of this writing, it cost only 1,700 rubles, which is even lower than the minimum price threshold for gaming-class cars.

This is not surprising, since this game model can hardly be called a gaming one. ASUS itself positions it as a multimedia (home) laptop for daily tasks. However, the capabilities of the processor and discrete graphics card quite allow you to run most of the existing games on this laptop.

Since we are primarily interested in its gaming capabilities, and not the implemented energy-saving technologies, we will talk about them in more detail.

Video card... In the hardware platform of this laptop, the central place is occupied by the NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics adapter, which immediately catches the eye, since in gaming assemblies we are much more accustomed to seeing graphics cards like GTX or at least GT.

GeForce MX150
 • Number of shaders - 384
 • Clock frequency - 1468-1532 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 6000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 64 bit
 • Maximum video memory - 2048 MB
 • Power consumption - 30 W
 • Date of announcement - 16 May 2017

The GeForce MX150 is a low-end mobile graphics card. Despite the fact that such devices are not positioned as gaming devices, the presented version in terms of performance may well compete with the GeForce GTX 950M. And even taking into account the fact that it uses a 64-bit bus and 2 GB of its own memory, in some games the card even shows best result... In fact, the GeForce MX150 is a mobile analog of the desktop geForce cards GT 1030, but with a higher clock speed.

CPU... Directly in this hardware platform is used 2-core Intel Core i5 7200U... And we remember very well that the U version is processors for universal multimedia notebooks with an optimal balance of performance and power consumption.

 • Clock frequency - 2.5 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.1 GHz

Recall that modern gaming laptops are equipped with 4-core HQ or HK chips with higher performance and higher power consumption. However, let's not forget that the default hardware platform of a laptop assumes a balanced combination of processor and video card. Thus, the 2-core Intel Core i5 7200U is quite adequate for the capabilities of the GeForce MX150 graphics adapter.

RAM... There are 2 slots for DDR4 brackets. By default, there is one 8 GB stick, which is quite enough for almost any modern game. The maximum possible volume is 16 GB.

Drive (hard drive).The proposed assembly uses only one HDD with a volume of 1000 GB. The level of a full-fledged gaming computer assumes at least one more SSD, but the ASUS VivoBook 15 X542UN is positioned as a multimedia laptop, so you shouldn't be surprised. One HDD is enough for most games. An optical DVD drive can be noted as a nice addition.

Screen... The 15.6-inch diagonal with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 seems to be quite a good solution in this case. Full-fledged gaming models often come with a screen of this size. The TN matrix with all the corresponding advantages and disadvantages is a very predictable option for a laptop with a low cost, and the matte finish is better suited for multimedia purposes.

Keyboard... It does not differ in any special options. A full-fledged digital block is provided, and all the auxiliary keys needed by gamers are located in their places. No backlight provided.

Features:... The advantages of ASUS VivoBook 15 X542UN include a good SonicMaster sound system with various sound settings for games, music and movies, as well as ASUS Battery Health Charging technology, which allows you to adjust the battery and extend the battery life.

The case has all the standard connectors (2 USB +1 HDMI), as well as VGA, which seems quite natural, given the multimedia purpose of the laptop.

Thus, the presented laptop is a kind of budget alternative to a full-fledged gaming option. Nevertheless, games that have already become hits, it is quite possible to run on it.

 • World of Tanks - yes
 • Dota 2 - yes
 • FIFA 18 - yes
 • GTA 5 - yes (at medium and low settings)
 • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - yes (on low settings)

Since the hardware platform of this laptop is not positioned as a gaming one, it will discharge and overheat at maximum power, despite the active cooling system, than hardware systems specially designed for gaming.

For most online games, the option is quite suitable; for gaming premieres of the 2018 model, it is better to consider a more productive model.

9.Asus ROG FX553VD - an inexpensive laptop for online gaming

In 9th place is another model from ASUS, but this time the machine is directly adapted for games. The purpose can be judged by the features of the keyboard, the latest discrete mid-range card and the powerful ASUS Cooling Overboost cooling system, specially designed to ensure long-term operation of the laptop with heavy applications. On closer inspection, it becomes clear that this is one of the best options in the event that you need a not very expensive gaming laptop for online games. However, first things first.

Video card.In all configurations, the hardware platform provides a graphics adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050. In different assemblies, the size of the card's own memory can only vary from 2 to 4 GB. In our case, 2 GB is installed, but as tests show, in most cases this does not significantly affect the smoothness and quality of dynamic scenes.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
 • Number of shaders - 640
 • Clock frequency - 1354-1493 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 7000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 128 bit
 • Video memory - 2048 MB
 • Power consumption - 30 W
 • Date of announcement - 3 January 2017

In terms of performance, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 outperforms its 9th generation counterpart (GTX 950M) and is somewhere on the level of the GeForce GTX 965M.

CPU... Depending on the configuration, the central processor will be Intel Core i7 7700HQ or Intel Core i5 7300HQ. In our case, set 4-core Intel Core i5 7300HQ.

 • Clock frequency - 2.5 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.5 GHz

This chip does not support a multi-threaded system Hyper-Threading, but the existing capabilities are quite enough to fully match the level of the graphics adapter. The "HQ" version - these are high-performance chips with power consumption up to 45 W - just a game format.

RAM... There are 2 slots for DDR4 brackets. By default, this configuration has one with a capacity of 4 GB. For games of the 2018 model, perhaps not enough, you need at least 8 GB. Two 4GB sticks will perform better than one 8GB stick.

Drive (hard drive).In different configurations, an additional SSD with a volume of 128 to 512 GB may be provided, but in our case only one is provided HDD with a volume of 1000 GB... This is a necessary minimum for a gaming laptop that claims to be a full-fledged one.

Screen... 15.6-inch diagonal with support for Full HD resolution (1920 × 1080) - the standard solution for low-cost gaming models. The type of matrix is also not difficult to predict: relatively inexpensive TN + FILM. Well, matte finish is the most popular solution for gaming laptops.

Keyboard... In all variants, the Asus ROG FX553VD has a membrane-type island keyboard. The fact that the laptop is positioned as a gaming one can be guessed by the features of the buttons. WASD keys, often used for motion control in games, are highlighted in red. The block of arrows on the left side is selected and shifted slightly downward. The space bar has a larger area. The backlighting of the keys is monophonic, red.

Features:... Of the features of the Asus ROG FX553VD, one can note the characteristic for models from ASUS system arrangement of ICEPOWER speakers and all the corresponding small advantages of this technical solution in the form of software sound control for different tasks (speaking, recording, playing games, etc.).

In the presented configuration operating system not installed, but ASUS recommends Windows 10 Pro.

If we sum up the mini-summary, we can see that the overall performance of the Asus ROG FX553VD is higher than the ASUS VivoBook 15 X542UN (10th place in the top), despite the fact that the price differs slightly. The ASUS Cooling Overboost cooling system allows you not to worry about the fact that in an hour another laptop will overheat, start to slow down and start to fail. We can almost confidently say that this gaming assembly is one of the best in the budget category. In any case, the Asus ROG FX553VD will handle almost all existing online games without any problems.

 • Online Games - Yes
 • FIFA 18 - Yes
 • GTA 5 - Yes
 • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - yes (at medium settings)

Offline game hits of the 2018 sample of the year, subject to an upgrade of RAM to 8 GB, will also pull, but definitely not at high settings. Games that will be released in a year may very well be too tough for this machine. It is important to consider this when buying.

8.Asus ROG Strix GL553 - Inexpensive Gaming Laptop with IPS Screen

This laptop came in 8th place in our rating solely due to the fact that it is one of the best models with an IPS screen in terms of price / quality ratio. In addition, in terms of performance, it bypasses the laptop that we reviewed above (Asus ROG FX553VD). Mainly thanks to the slightly more advanced version of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI graphics card and the Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor. The cost has also increased, but this, unfortunately, is an inevitable price to pay for a more efficient system.

Video card... The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI gaming chip is the older brother of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 we reviewed above. Comparative reviews talk about a 30% difference, but in fact, the TI (Titanium) console allows you to add 10-15 FPS in almost all games. This is not much.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI
 • Number of shaders - 768
 • Memory frequency - 7000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 128 bit
 • Video memory - 4096 MB
 • Power consumption - 70 W
 • Date of announcement - 3 January 2017

If we compare the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI with the 9th series cards, then in terms of performance it surpasses the GeForce GTX 965M and is somewhere on the level of the GeForce GTX 970M.

As you know, the efficiency of the card in BOOST mode depends on the cooling system. The Asus ROG Strix GL553 has a Cooling Overboost function that allows you to independently adjust the cooling intensity. Thus, we can assume that the graphics chip will not suffer from overheating and will stably show its maximum if the cooling settings are set correctly.

CPU... The hardware platform of this laptop provides. In terms of performance, it surpasses the previously considered Intel Core i5 7300HQ.

In addition, this chip supports multi-threaded Hyper-Threading, which allows for increased processing speed (8 threads with 4 cores) and is an advantage in itself.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

RAM... Memory type - DDR4. The presented configuration provides 32 GB (2 slots), which is the hardware maximum for this model. That's really something, but this laptop cannot be blamed for the lack of RAM. Enough for all existing games.

Storage devices.This assembly has 2 drives. Main HDD 1000 GB + additional SSD 256 GB. This is almost the best option for a gaming laptop. If desired, both drives can be replaced with more capacious ones, but the presented volumes are quite enough to ensure good performance and comfortable operation.

Screen... As already noted, the screen is another big advantage of this laptop over the models that are in 9th and 10th places in our ranking. IPS matrix Provides the widest viewing angles for brighter, more saturated colors. The picture quality is definitely higher.

 • Diagonal - 15.6 inches
 • Covering - matte

ASUS Splendid technology in conjunction with the "Eye Care" mode allows you to manually adjust the color temperature of the display or use one of the preset modes.

Keyboard... Since the laptop is positioned as a gaming one, an island keyboard with a full-fledged number pad is provided. The WASD keys on the left are highlighted in red, the arrow block on the right is slightly shifted down. The right CTRL has an elongated shape, and the space has an increased area. The distance between the keys is 4 mm.

Features:... In addition to the pre-installed Windows 10, by default the laptop is supplemented with the proprietary ROG Gaming Center software from ASUS. Auxiliary gaming software allows you to view detailed information about the system, set hot keys, control the operation of the audio system and record what is happening on the screen to a video file.

Network Controller with ROG GameFirst III technology optimizes the simultaneous operation of multiple applications using an Internet connection. So, a game client, browser and online telephony working in parallel with a high probability will not lead to lags and freezes.

In short, the Asus ROG Strix GL553 is quite a decent gaming model. The main advantage over Asus ROG FX553VD (9th place in the rating) is the IPS-matrix screen and higher performance. However, the cost is almost a third more expensive.

 • Online Games - Yes
 • FIFA 18 - Yes
 • GTA 5 - Yes
 • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - yes (at high settings)

It will also handle all demanding games of the 2018 model, but not always at maximum settings. To play modern RPGs comfortably on ultra settings, you need a more powerful laptop.

7.Dell Inspiron 7567 - the cheapest laptop in the middle segment

This laptop is in 7th place due to its relatively low price and very decent performance. In terms of popularity, it also leads the mid-price segment of gaming assemblies. Let's see what the reason is.

The first is cost. Dell Inspiron 7567 is one of the most inexpensive laptops in its class. At the time of this writing, this model in the presented configuration cost only 2827 rubles. Perhaps this is the main secret of popularity. In terms of performance, it almost does not lag behind its closest competitors, but in some parameters, unfortunately, it is inferior to them.

Video card.All versions of the Dell Inspiron 7567 are based on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI graphics cards, as well as Core i5-7300HQ and Core i7-7700HQ processors. In our case, the most productive assembly is presented.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI

 • Number of shaders - 768
 • Clock frequency - 1493-1620 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 7000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 128 bit
 • Video memory - 4096 MB
 • Power consumption - 70 W
 • Date of announcement - 3 January 2017

Above, we have already analyzed in detail the reasons for the current popularity of this particular mobile card for gaming platforms. Its capabilities are sufficient, including for launching games of the 2018 model.

CPU... This configuration is set 4-core Intel Core i7 7700HQ... A chip with enough capabilities to work with more efficient cards.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

The multi-threaded system Hyper-Threading (8 threads) is supported, due to which the speed of information exchange is significantly increased.

RAM.By default, this assembly provides one 8 GB DDR4 bracket. However, the 2 slots allow you to get a total of up to 32GB of RAM if needed. For all already released games, 8 GB of RAM is enough.

Storage device... In different configurations, the Dell Inspiron 7567 can be equipped with one HDD or two drives (1HDD + 1SSD). In our case, a solution has been implemented, which is a kind of golden mean - hybrid HDD with a volume of 1000 + 8GB.

Hybrid HDDs differ from classical ones in that they record information on the HDD with parallel transfer of that part of the data that is used most often to the built-in SSD. A special intelligent system is responsible for the placement of accents.

Screen... The display is the obvious drawback of this laptop. The TN matrix has a fast response time, which is often positioned as an advantage for games. At the same time, in all other respects TN + FILM loses to the more popular IPS. In this configuration, the Dell Inspiron 7567 uses not the cheapest type of matrix, but it cannot be called advanced either.

 • Matrix - TN + FILM
 • Diagonal - 15.6 inches
 • Resolution - Full HD (1920x1080)
 • Covering - matte

By the way, according to the technical documentation, notebooks of this model with TN matrix are available only for some regions. Most assemblies use IPS with FHD or Ultra HD resolution. It can be assumed that the cost of such solutions will be more expensive.

Keyboard... For gaming models, DELL uses classic membrane keyboards, but with a rubberized surface so that at especially tense moments, fingers do not slide over the buttons. Key travel (depression depth) - 1.4 mm.

The digital block retained its full size, which did not have a very good effect on the position of the arrow module. The arrows are quite small and may seem awkward to many.

Black models use white backlighting, but with two brightness modes. If the laptop is running on battery power and the buttons are not used for more than 2 minutes, the backlight goes out. Red illumination is implemented in models with a red body.

Features:... In terms of dimensions, the laptop is comparable to its closest competitors. The thickness with the lid closed is 25.4 mm, the weight is 2.65 kg. It is neither ultra thin nor too heavy. Of the specific features, a 130-watt external power supply unit weighing 0.5 kg should be noted, which is also not a very attractive detail.

The presented configuration uses pre-installed Windows 10. DELL does not offer any proprietary gaming software.

Thus, it is not difficult to conclude that the Dell Inspiron got a more attractive price mainly due to the budget TN matrix. If this is not a problem, the considered assembly can be considered quite attractive for modern games.

 • Online Games - Yes
 • FIFA 18 - Yes
 • Rise of the Tomb Raider - Yes
 • Resident evil 7 - Yes
 • GTA 5 - Yes
 • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - yes (at high settings)

As for the ultra-settings, not all of the games listed above will work correctly. The same applies to the most demanding games that will be released in 2018.

If you like this laptop, do not rush to make the final choice. Perhaps it is worth overpaying quite a bit and taking a car with about the same configuration, but with an IPS screen. We will consider similar technical solutions further.

6.ASUS ROG Strix GL502VM - Best Compact Gaming Laptop

Almost the entire top of our rating is occupied by gaming laptops from ASUS. The assemblies from this famous Taiwanese brand are reliable and well adapted for their purpose. In addition, ASUS develops special software for its gaming models that optimizes performance in the most popular applications. All other things being equal, all this makes them the preferred solution, if the task is to choose a reliable, durable model.

ASUS ROG Strix GL502VM is a laptop that is comparable in cost to the ROG Strix GL553 (8th place in the rating), but has a more powerful configuration.

Video card... The graphics adapter is perhaps the most important advantage this laptop has over all the solutions we've reviewed so far. It uses NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of its own memory, and this alone puts it one step higher.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

 • Number of shaders - 1280
 • Clock frequency - 1506-1708 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 8000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 128 bit
 • Video memory - 6144 MB
 • Power consumption - 65 W
 • Date of announcement - 18 August 2016

The performance of this card allows you to play at high settings at a resolution of 1920 × 1080 almost all games released before 2017 inclusive. The exception is, perhaps, the Witcher 3, for which you may have to optimize FPS a little for a comfortable level.

Comparing NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with cards previous generation, it not only surpasses its predecessor NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M, but also the flagship of the 9th series NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M.

An important advantage of the GTX 1060 is full compatibility with all existing systems virtual reality and a sufficient level of performance for their correct work.

CPU... In our case, the configuration provides for a 4-core Intel Core i7 6700HQ. Despite the fact that the processor belongs to the 6th generation, its performance is sufficient for correct operation even in the most demanding applications.

 • Clock frequency - 2.6 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.5 GHz

The chip supports Hyper-Threading multi-threading system. The incoming information is divided into 8 threads (with 4 cores), due to which the speed of information processing increases.

RAM... When designing this model, the manufacturer decided to follow the path of maximum space optimization. On motherboard 8 GB of DDR4 RAM is soldered, and one more slot provided allows you to increase this volume to 24 GB if necessary. This configuration includes an additional 4 GB strip, so the total amount of RAM is 12 GB.

Drive (hard drive).The configuration is represented by one HDD with a capacity of 1000 GB, which is the minimum required for gaming laptops. In other versions, the laptop is additionally equipped with SSD-drives of different sizes. If you wish, you can add one more SSD or HDD with a large amount of memory here yourself.

Screen... For ASUS ROG Strix GL502VM, 2 types of matrix are available in different configurations: 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) or regular FHD (1920 x 1080). In our case, a simpler FHD is installed. A 4K-capable screen would also require more powerful hardware, which, of course, would have a direct impact on the final cost.

 • Matrix - IPS
 • Diagonal - 15.6 inches
 • Resolution - Full HD (1920x1080)
 • Covering - matte

Keyboard.In gaming aSUS laptops traditionally uses island scissor-membrane keyboards. Key travel (pressing depth) - 1.6 mm. A full-fledged digital block is provided, the WASD buttons are highlighted in red. At the hardware level, anti-ghosting technology is implemented, which allows processing up to 30 clicks simultaneously. The red backlight harmoniously complements the black color of the buttons.

Features:... Perhaps the most important feature of the ROG Strix GL502VM is its size. The thickness with the lid closed is only 23.5 mm and the weight is 2.2 kg. A very compact solution considering that this is a gaming laptop.

Among the interfaces, in addition to standard USB (4 pcs.) And HDMI, DisplayPort (mini) is provided.

In this configuration, the ROG Strix GL502VM is sold with pre-installed Windows 10 and the already familiar ROG Gaming Center software from ASUS. Sonic Studio audio technology allows you to adjust streaming and audio recording, and Sonic Radar signals the loudest sound as you play.

Summing up, it should be noted that the ASUS ROG Strix GL502VM is one of the most inexpensive models with an IPS screen and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. It is not surprising that this laptop is famous for its popularity.

 • Online Games - Yes
 • FIFA 18 - Yes
 • Rise of the Tomb Raider - Yes
 • Overwatch - Yes
 • GTA 5 - Yes
 • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Yes

On medium aSUS settings ROG Strix GL502VM will pull, including the gaming hits of 2018. For the most anticipated games scheduled for release in 2019, it's best to consider a higher performance model.

5. Lenovo Legion Y520 - an inexpensive laptop for playing the Witcher 3 (The Witcher 3)

The computer role-playing game Witcher 3: Wild hunt (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt) was released in 2015, became an absolute hit and remains a cult to this day. CD Projekt RED has developed the REDengine 3 engine specifically for its non-linear games, which requires very powerful hardware. By the way, a more or less affordable laptop capable of pulling the graphics of this hit at high settings appeared only in 2016. And now, 3 years after the release of the game, not every gaming laptop The Witcher 3 can do it.

Now it is quite possible to buy a relatively inexpensive gaming machine that will show a good FPS level at high settings. One of the best price / performance options for The Witcher 3, in our opinion, is the Lenovo Legion Y520.

Video card... The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI graphics card has long earned the right to be called popular, since it is the best option in terms of price / quality ratio at the beginning of 2018 for already released games.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI

 • Number of shaders - 768
 • Clock frequency - 1493-1620 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 7000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 128 bit
 • Video memory - 4096 MB
 • Power consumption - 70 W
 • Date of announcement - 3 January 2017

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" she is also quite capable of. Benchmarks on Lenovo Legion Y520 showed the following performance.

 • Medium settings (1366x768) - 80 FPS
 • High settings (1920x1080) - 45 FPS
 • Ultra settings (1920x1080) - 26 FPS

If we proceed from the fact that the level of 30 FPS is relatively comfortable for the game, then it is easy to see that with a certain adjustment of the graphic settings in the game itself, you can play even at ultra.

Please note that test results may vary depending on configuration. In this version, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI card is installed, but for the same model, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and lower versions of the AMD Radeon RX560 are allowed. Their performance is worse. A configuration with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 will perform even better than the build we are reviewing.

CPU... 4-core processor Intel Core i7 7700HQIs a great addition to the graphics chip.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

Supports multi-threaded Hyper-Threading system (8 threads). The performance is enough to ensure the correct operation of all modules of the gaming platform.

RAM... This configuration provides 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Two provided slots make it possible to increase the memory up to 32 GB, however, for the witcher and almost all currently existing games, 16 gigabytes is more than enough. The upgrade will not be needed soon.

Storage devices... For gaming laptops, the 1HDD + 1SSD option is probably the best option. In our case, a solid state drive (SSD) has a capacity of 128 GB, HDD - 1000 GB. If for some reason this volume is no longer enough, any disk can be replaced with a more spacious one.

Screen... A pleasant surprise from Lenovo is the IPS screen. And this despite the fact that the closest competitors from the same price category notebooks Acer Aspire VX 15 and Dell Inspiron 7567 are equipped with a TN matrix. Considering the fact that we chose a gaming machine to play The Witcher, the circumstance is encouraging.

 • IPS matrix
 • Diagonal - 15.6 inches
 • Resolution - Full HD (1920x1080)
 • Covering - matte

Keyboard... Equipping gaming laptops with a backlit island keyboard has long been considered good form by manufacturers. Lenovo Legion Y520 is no exception. The backlight is implemented in red, which goes well with the black keypad. Key travel - 1.7 mm. The size of the digital block is deliberately cut in favor of the control arrows located below. Considering the fact that this is a gaming laptop, the solution is very practical.

Features:... One of the most important parameters for any laptop is size. Lenovo Legion Y520 is only 25.8 mm thick and weighs 2.5 kg. Compared to most gaming laptops, this is not much.

The cooling system includes several coolers and a network of ventilation holes that transfer heat to the back cover. Lenovo's Nerve Sense gaming software allows, among other things, the Extreme Cooling function to control the temperature when working with heavy applications.

Separately, it is worth noting the Harman audio system based on 2 speakers of 2 W each. Lenovo marketers claim that it will allow you to immerse yourself in the crystal-clear sound of the world of computer games, even without headphones. How true this is is difficult to judge. However, the Lenovo Nerve Sense interface allows for wide control over audio playback and recording. You can customize the sound as you like.

If we compare Lenovo Legion Y520 with laptops of a similar class from other brands, then the benefit in price is obvious. In the presented configuration, it costs even less than the Asus ROG Strix GL553 (8th place). Nevertheless, for playing the third Witcher at high settings, it is quite suitable. For other games, the option is also very decent.

 • Online Games - Yes
 • FIFA 18 - Yes
 • Rise of the Tomb Raider - Yes
 • Resident evil 7 - Yes
 • GTA 5 - Yes
 • Resident evil 7 - Yes
 • Battlefield 1 - Yes
 • Call of Duty Infinite Warfare - Yes

4. MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider - Best Design & High Performance

We gave the fourth place in the ranking to a gaming laptop from MSI, which can easily handle both already released games and those game hits that were announced in the release for 2018. MSI's gaming laptop lineup is represented by the GE series. The GE73VR 7RF Raider is one of the most productive in this series. The hardware platform here is represented by a powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 card and an Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor.

Video card... In line of GeForce graphics adapters gTX card 1070 is one of the highest. Only the one with the TI prefix (Titanium) and two versions of GTX 1080 are more powerful.

GeForce GTX 1070

 • Number of shaders - 2048
 • Memory frequency - 8000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 256 bit
 • Video memory - 8192 MB
 • Date of announcement - September 1, 2016

The same Witcher 3 shows 58 FPS on ultra settings. The rest of the games are even more. The resources of the map are definitely enough for all existing popular hits.

CPU... All versions for this laptop are equipped with a 4-core Intel Core i7 7700HQ CPU.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

The Core i7 7700HQ is perhaps the most popular processor option for gaming laptops right now. It is installed in hardware platforms with cards of the GTX 1050 TI level and up to and including GTX 1080 TI. The multi-threaded Hyper-Threading system and high clock speed range make it a nearly universal mobile solution for mobile gaming platforms.

RAM... The presented configuration is set to 16 GB (DDR4) by default. Two slots allow you to expand the total volume up to 32 GB. For most modern games, as a rule, 8 GB is enough.

Storage devices... Oddly enough, this rather expensive machine has only one HDD with a capacity of 1000 GB. True, its rotation speed is 7200 RPM. For comparison, all previous models from our top had 5400 RPM for HDD. In general, to ensure maximum performance, it is recommended to supplement the system with at least 1 SSD. Then the drives will definitely not slow down the overall performance.

Screen... In the GE73VR model, the manufacturer sets one of two possible screen options. It can be a 17-inch TN + FILM matrix with FHD-resolution (1920 × 1080) or a 17-inch IPS with Ultra HD (3840x2160). This variant uses TN, which in itself is somewhat surprising. In 2018, an expensive and productive gaming laptop with a TN matrix looks strange. The quality of the matrix is far from the worst - the average brightness is 279 cd / m² and a good contrast ratio - 1410: 1. Nevertheless, for the indicated price, I would like to see at least an IPS matrix.

 • TN + FILM matrix
 • Diagonal - 17.3 inches
 • Resolution - Full HD (1920x1080)
 • Covering - matte

Keyboard... In the vast majority of gaming laptops, MSI installs its proprietary SteelSeries gaming keyboard. In this model, a multi-colored backlight is provided for each key. During operation, the keyboard literally plays with all the colors of the rainbow and looks very impressive. The manufacturer claims that this laptop is almost the first in the world with independent illumination of each button.

The size of the keys is standard - 15x15 mm, travel - 1.9 mm. A full-fledged digital block with a shortened "0" button is implemented.

In general, the keyboard is comfortable and solid. MSI has a lot of experience in this area, and there is nothing to blame the manufacturer for in this case.

Features:... Considering that the power consumption of a GeForce GTX 1070 graphics card is twice as high as that of a GTX 1050 TI, it is easy to assume that a laptop with such a graphics adapter must have a very powerful cooling system. There are definitely two coolers and a pair of heat sinks.

MSI Cooler Boost 5 cooling technology features 2 cooling modules, 2 Whirlwind Blade coolers, a network of 7 heat pipes and 4 directions of heat dissipation. Of course, this design also required a corresponding increase in size. The GE73VR 7RF Raider is not ultra-thin and lightweight. When the lid is closed, it is 28.5 mm thick and weighs 2.8 kg.

However, he looks very cool. The MSI-branded red and black design and multi-colored backlighting create a unique impression.

The sound deserves special attention. A more spacious body made it possible to place speaker system with two stereo speakers and two subwoofers. MSI really has something to be proud of, as the sound effects are really great.

As for the interface connections, in addition to the already familiar USB and HDMI, DisplayPort (Mini) is found here. An additional digital interface made it possible to implement the Matrix Display technology, which allows you to display an image on 2 additional independent monitors with 4K UHD resolution. One connects via HDMI, the other via DisplayPort. So at home, if you have a 4K monitor or 4K TV, the picture problem disappears by itself.

Thus, the overall impression of the MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider is very positive. The only disappointment is, perhaps, the TN-screen. One could also complain about the relatively short battery life when running heavy applications, but this small drawback is not surprising, given the high power of all installed hardware.

Overall, the MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider seems to be a good choice if you want a machine that can pull all the popular gaming hits at the highest settings.

Game tests on ultra settings

 • Watch Dogs 2 (2016) - 91 FPS
 • Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017) - 89 FPS
 • Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III (2017) - 69 FPS
 • Dishonored 2 (2016) - 79 FPS
 • Mass Effect Andromeda (2017) - 73 FPS
 • The Division (2016) - 83 FPS
 • The Witcher (2015) - 58 FPS
 • Battlefield 1 (2016) - 123 FPS

As for the cost, it will be correct to compare it with laptops from the same "weight category". Alternatively, as an alternative, you can consider HP OMEN 17-an011ur, which we gave the 3rd place in our rating.

3.HP OMEN 17-an011ur - Powerful Laptop with IPS Screen

The cost of the HP OMEN 17-an011ur gaming laptop is comparable to the MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider (4th place in the rating), and if you manage to catch it on stocks, the price may even be lower. In terms of performance, it is in no way inferior to the competitor, and the screen with the IPS matrix makes it in many ways more attractive. However, he also has disadvantages. But first things first.

Video card... In different configurations, the HP OMEN 17 can have a GeForce family card of the following versions: GTX 1050, GTX 1050 TI, GTX 1060 or GTX 1070. In our case, the most powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 is provided.

GeForce GTX 1070

 • Number of shaders - 2048
 • Clock frequency - 1443-1645 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 8000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 256 bit
 • Video memory - 8192 MB
 • Power consumption - 150 W
 • Date of announcement - September 1, 2016

Thus, in terms of graphics performance, this laptop is at about the same level as the MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider. The GTX 1070 graphics card can handle most existing games on ultra settings without any problems.

CPU... The different configurations of the HP OMEN use the already familiar Intel Core i7-7700HQ chip. Sometimes Intel Core i5-7300HQ is found in less powerful assemblies. Here, as an addition to the GTX 1070 video card, a more powerful one was quite expected. Core i7-7700HQ.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

The same 4 cores and multi-threaded support hyper-Threading technology (8 threads). The performance level is more than enough for the presented hardware platform.

RAM... In terms of RAM, this laptop is somewhat limited compared to its closest competitor from the MSI lineup. Two 8GB (DDR4) strips - the maximum limit for HP OMEN. This configuration is set total volume - 16 GB. For modern games, however, more than enough.

Storage devices... For a gaming laptop, 1HDD + 1SSD is the preferred option. In our case, an HDD (7200 RPM) with a volume of 1000 GB is installed, and another 128 GB is on the SSD. In addition, an optical drive (DVD Multi) is available as an add-on. By itself, it has long been no longer required, but for a gaming laptop it may well fit.

Screen... The display is a clear advantage of the HP OMEN 17-an011ur. The IPS matrix is much better than TN in meeting the requirements of modern gaming. Slightly higher response time, but much better brightness, color rendering and other characteristics.

 • Matrix - IPS
 • Diagonal - 17.3 inches
 • Resolution - Full HD (1920x1080)
 • Covering - matte

Keyboard... For some reason, HP did not consider it necessary to develop a design for this laptop according to the purpose. Used a classic strict keyboard without a hint of game adaptation. As a result, there are very small keys of the top functional row F1-F12 and a perplexing arrow block with indecently shortened up and down arrows.

The F1-F12 keys contain the notebook control functions. With their help, you can adjust the sound, turn on or off the keyboard backlight, control the screen brightness. These functions are paramount. If there is a need to use F1-F12 in the game, which happens quite often, you will have to use the FN modifier.

For the rest, it seems, there are no complaints. Membrane-type island keyboard with full numeric keypad on the right. It would seem, what else is needed? But, given the above described absurdities, we conclude that the gaming purpose of this laptop is declared solely because of performance.

Features:... When examining the configuration and the proposed software package, there is a persistent feeling that HP did not intend to somehow adapt the HP OMEN 17 for the stated gaming purpose. In fact, the high-performance hardware was stuffed into a suitable ultrabook case and put up for sale without any additions.

MSI, ASUS and other competitors of HP develop proprietary gaming software for their gaming laptops, stylize the design, paint the keyboard, and add various subscriptions to popular online gaming resources as gifts. HP only modestly indicates that every customer, in addition to the pre-installed Windows 10, will receive trial version Microsoft Office 365 for one month. A very "impressive" advantage.

As practice shows, the HP OMEN 17 also has problems when it comes to replacing components (for example, for an upgrade). It turns out that only an experienced specialist can disassemble this laptop without breaking the fasteners holding the case cover.

In short, the model is very ambiguous. There are no complaints about performance. All modern games, including those released in 2018, he will pull without problems. As for the design and adaptation to the purpose, questions arise.

Summing up the final results of the comparison with the MSI GE73VR 7RF Raider, to which we gave the 4th place in the rating, we get the following picture:

 • In terms of cost, both laptops are approximately equal.
 • The video card and processor are identical for both.
 • The HP OMEN 17 has less RAM (16 GB versus 32 GB for the MSI Raider), but more than enough for existing games.
 • HP OMEN 17 drives are more worthy: 1HDD + 1SSD + 1DVD Multi versus 1 HDD in MSI Raider.
 • The screen due to the IPS-matrix is definitely better than the HP OMEN 17
 • Gaming keyboard is much better adapted for MSI Raider
 • The design features of the HP OMEN 17 are also questionable. Given the fact that the face is a standard ultrabook case with high-performance hardware, there are suspicions that problems with heat dissipation will begin to arise over time.

Thus, the choice does not seem easy. One thing is for sure: both laptops have high performance and are fully consistent with the declared value. Comparing both models, we still put the HP OMEN 17-an011ur one step higher. This was done solely because of the IPS-screen, in our opinion, better than the level of a modern gaming laptop.

2. ASUS Chimera G703VI - the best gift laptop

The ASUS Chimera G703VI laptop is without a doubt the most advanced machine in our ranking of gaming laptops. However, we only gave it second place solely for cost. At the time of this writing, it cost 11,000 rubles. If desired, for this price, you can buy 2 gaming laptops that can handle all modern games without any problems.

That is, in other words, an avid gamer, having such an amount at his disposal, is unlikely to buy himself this car. Let's think soberly, a laptop with about the same performance and technical characteristics can be found cheaper. But if you want to make an expensive gift, then you will certainly be able to impress. Any recipient, if he knows even a little bit about the gaming hardware, will be delighted.

Let's take a closer look at this amazing gaming monster.

Video card.Mobile NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 is at the moment, perhaps, the top option. Notebooks based on NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti have not yet been noticed, so we can say with confidence that our version has the best gaming card at the moment.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

 • Number of shaders - 2560
 • Memory frequency - 8000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 256 bit
 • Video memory - 8192 MB
 • Date of announcement - 16 Aug 2016

Feature mobile version GTX 1080 is that it is practically no different from its desktop sister in terms of characteristics. Its dimensions and power consumption directly indicate that it will not fit into an ultrathin case. All laptops with this graphics adapter will be thick and heavy. But for a high-performance gaming laptop, this is the norm.

Needless to say, the GeForce GTX 1080 is guaranteed to run all existing games at ultra settings. The capabilities of this adapter will be enough, including for games that will be released next year. There is almost no doubt about that.

CPU... Central 4-core chip Intel Core i7 7820HK in terms of performance, it is in the top five from Intel.

 • Clock frequency - 3.1 GHz
 • Boost up to 4.1 GHz

The letter "K" in the marking means additional opportunity overclocking. The processor in this laptop is already overclocked to a possible maximum of 4.3 GHz in Boost mode. In other words, the capabilities of the central chip are sufficient with a margin to ensure the work of even the most difficult applications.

RAM... For modern games, in most cases, 8 GB of RAM is enough. This laptop has a maximum limit of 64GB, which is a clear record for a production-grade gaming laptop. There are 4 slots for DDR4 RAM strips.

Storage devices... The data storage of this laptop is also fine. In addition to the main HDD with a capacity of 2.000 GB (5400 RPM), there are 2 SSDs of 512 GB each with the possibility of combining into Raid. Better configuration hard to imagine. There is no optical drive, but this is hardly a problem.

Screen... In the presented configuration, we have, perhaps, the best version of the screen for such machines. 17.3-inch diagonal display with IPS matrix and support for UHD 4K resolution. There is no other laptop like this in our rating.

 • Matrix - IPS
 • Diagonal - 17.3 inches
 • Resolution - Ultra HD (3840x2160) (16: 9)
 • Increased screen refresh rate - 144 MHz
 • NVIDIA G-SYNC adaptive sync technology
 • Surface - matt

Digital interfaces Thunderbolt 3, mini-DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 allow you to connect up to 3 additional monitors (or TVs) with 4K resolution and enjoy the picture without borders.

Add to all these great features support for the X-box platform with built-in Xbox Wireless, which allows you to connect up to 8 Xbox One controllers without additional USB adapters, and we have the dream of all gamers.

By the way, the laptop was codenamed Chimera, one of the meanings of which is “pipe dream”. Considering the technical characteristics of the car and the cost, the name was indeed chosen very well.

Keyboard... ASUS is passionate about adapting its gaming models to suit gaming needs. The Chimera G703VI keyboard is made in the corporate style of this manufacturer: a dedicated block of arrows on the right, a full-fledged number block with a shortened zero, an increased area of the "space" key.

Membrane buttons (2.5 mm stroke) and branded multi-colored illumination for each key in general leave very positive emotions and a complete impression of thoughtfulness of every detail in the design.

Features:... Talking about the features of the Chimera, it is necessary to start, perhaps, with the dimensions. The laptop is 47.5 mm thick with the lid closed and weighs 4.7 kg. Frankly, not the easiest car. It can be worn in a backpack without problems, but in your hands you will not drag it for a long time.

Considerable dimensions are due to super-productive iron and a powerful cooling system. The processor, video card and power system are cooled separately. Radiators are located around the perimeter from the sides and back. The entire bottom cover is essentially a single radiator grille. However, everything is implemented stylishly and beautifully, do not find fault.

ASUS selected all the hardware for this model with overclocking capability. All gaming laptops from this manufacturer are equipped with a special software called "ROG Gaming Center". In the case of this model, using the settings of the game center, you can overclock your own video card processor up to 1974 MHz (in Boost mode), and the operating memory frequency up to 2800 MHz (against the standard 2133 MHz for DDR4).

Separately, we once again note the full compatibility with the X-box platform. Downloadable versions of Xbox Play Anywhere games can be played on both Windows 10 and Xbox One consoles. That is, you can play the same game online with friends who use the classic Xbox One at home. Well, we have already said that the Xbox Wireless system allows you to connect up to 8 Xbox joysticks without using USB. The laptop keyboard has a dedicated key that brings up the Xbox Game Control Panel.

In addition to console compatibility, it is important to note the support for VR technology. Hardware performance is more than enough to ensure the correct operation of all virtual reality systems.

Quite spacious dimensions of the body made it possible to accommodate an impressive 4-speaker audio system in the Chimera G703VI. Using the supplied Sonic Studio III software, you can set up 8-channel virtual audio (7.1) at 32-bit / 384 kHz for stereo headphones, which is 8 times better than standard audio disc playback.

Thus, in the end, we get the best version of a gaming laptop from the first half of 2018 in almost all respects.

Performance at ultra settings (1920 x 1080)

 • Watch dogs 2 - 86 FPS
 • Rise of the Tomb Raider - 112 FPS
 • Doom - 141 FPS
 • The Witcher 3 - 81 FPS
 • Battlefield 1 - 126 FPS

ASUS Chimera G703VI is a dream laptop. Unfortunately, most often unrealizable, since not everyone can afford a laptop for 11.000 rubles. Everything is perfect in it, except for the price. On the other hand, if you are choosing a gift and can afford something similar, you can rest assured that this is the best choice. A gaming laptop that's better and more powerful than this is hard to find.

1.MSI GT73EVR 7RF Best Gaming Laptop

We decided to give the first place in the nomination "Best gaming laptop" to the flagship gaming laptop from MSI, the GT73EVR 7RF model. In the configuration we are considering (855RU), it has a TN-screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 video card.Yes, you shouldn't be surprised, since the same model with a 4K screen and an IPS-level display is comparable in cost to the laptop to which we gave 2 a place. Everything is great, but very expensive.

In our case, the cost of the GT73EVR 7RF is approaching 7,500 rubles, which is quite consistent with the level of the top gaming machine. In terms of performance, in this it is not inferior to more expensive solutions. All existing and announced game projects of 2018, this machine can easily pull on ultra settings.

Video card.The presented configuration uses the currently best mobile gaming geForce graphics card GTX 1080.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080

 • Number of shaders - 2560
 • Clock frequency - 1566-1733 (boost) MHz
 • Memory frequency - 8000 MHz
 • Memory type - GDDR5
 • Bus - 256 bit
 • Video memory - 8192 MB
 • Power consumption - 165 W
 • Date of announcement - 16 Aug 2016

Only laptops with the 7RF prefix in the name are equipped with the GeForce GTX 1080 card. The same laptop, but with a 7RE prefix, comes with a dual GeForce GTX 1070 SLI.

If you ask a rhetorical question, which option is better, then the answer is obvious - one GTX 1080 is better than two GTX 1070s. There are several reasons for this. Bridge mode graphics cards have several disadvantages:

 • Consume more energy and overheat faster
 • Most games are not adapted to work with SLI cards
 • The performance of a dual SLI card is only 15-40% better than that of the same single card

These are only the most obvious drawbacks, there are other less significant ones. So the GeForce GTX 1080 is by far the best option.

CPU... This build uses the most popular mobile processor available today. Intel Core i7 7700HQ.

 • Clock frequency - 2.8 GHz
 • Boost up to 3.8 GHz

As mentioned earlier, its performance is enough to ensure the normal operation of most configurations of existing gaming laptops. In alliance with him, the most powerful video cards for gaming laptops work perfectly.

RAM... As in the most expensive laptop, to which we gave the 2nd place in our ten, there are 4 slots for DDR4 RAM. Thus, its maximum capacity can reach an incredible 64 GB. Considering that even for the most productive games in most cases, 8 GB is still enough, the 32 GB provided in the laptop kit is quite enough for almost everything. In this version, we were not forced to overpay for the surplus.

The RAM frequency here is also higher than the standard one - MSI claims 2400 MHz (against the standard 2133 MHz). Reading speed - 32 Gb / s, write speed - 36 Gb / s.

Storage devices... For data storage, too, in our opinion, the optimal option is involved in the form of 1HDD + 1SSD. The volume of the HDD is standard - 1000 GB, but the speed at the level of desktop solutions is 7200 RPM.

Additional solid state sSD disk in this configuration it is provided with a volume of 512 GB. MSI, in particular, notes the PCI-E Gen 3.0 technology used, thanks to which the SSD bandwidth has increased to 2200 MB / s, which is 5 times higher than standard SATA3 SSDs.

Screen... The fact that this laptop uses a TN + FILM graphic panel, we have already said above. And it could be an unpleasant surprise if it were not for the really impressive characteristics of the used matrix variant. Thanks to True Color 2.0 technology, contrast and image detail are significantly improved. Factory calibration and testing has brought the accuracy of the sRGB color space to almost 100%. The settings provide a number of ready-made solutions for the screen profile, including game mode, watching a movie, working with design applications, and more.

 • Matrix - TN + FILM
 • Diagonal - 17.3 inches
 • Resolution - FHD (1920x1080) (16: 9)
 • Screen refresh rate - 120 MHz
 • Surface - matt

Considering the low response time of 5ms, this screen is perhaps even better for games than IPS. However, it is difficult to judge this; both options have fans.

Keyboard... MSI has been developing laptops for several years, and this company also has considerable experience in creating gaming models. The keyboard of the GT73EVR 7RF is made in the best traditions of gaming laptops with multi-colored backlighting and the ability to customize color schemes for each key block. Diaphragm buttons with 1.9 mm travel.

A specific difference can be called the shifted to the right Windows key in the bottom row, which, however, is quite an adequate solution for the game version. There are dedicated function buttons for controlling the backlight, calling the XSplit Gamecaster utility (streaming), as well as a key that launches the cooling system in maximum performance mode. Everything else follows the usual standards - full-size hands and a full-fledged number pad on the right.

Features:... We can confidently say that this laptop has almost everything that was good for the expensive ASUS Chimera G703VI, which we reviewed above. Except, perhaps, for compatibility with the X-box platform, which is not critical for fans of PC games.

Considering the power of the hardware, the dimensions of the MSI GT73EVR 7RF cannot be called miniature, but it is somewhat thinner than ASUS and slightly lighter. The thickness with the lid closed does not exceed 4.45 cm and the weight ranges from 3.9 to 4.1 kg. Quite adequate dimensions for a powerful gaming laptop.

Cooler Boost Titan's cooling system is predictably powerful and loud. Consists of 2 Whirlwind fans (29 blades each) and 7 heat pipes. CPU and the video card has separate cooling. Radiators are located both on the sides of the case and in large numbers on the bottom cover.

The impressive body made it possible to accommodate the 2.1 speaker system from DYNAUDIO. Two full-range speakers and a subwoofer, combined with professional hardware (enhanced bass, noise suppressor, etc.) give a very powerful and very high quality sound. When using stereo headphones, a virtual 8-channel (7.1) sound system is activated.

When it comes to interfaces, the MSI GT73EVR 7RF also has the best equipment and technology. With the optional Thunderbolt 3 port, you can connect 3 additional 4K monitors for panoramic image coverage.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics and 8-channel virtual audio are capable of supporting all current VR systems. Connect a virtual reality headset and enjoy immersion in incredible spaces.

In other words, nothing beautiful is alien to this laptop. It also sheds some of the often unnecessary surplus and costs significantly less than the ASUS Chimera G703VI with nearly the same performance level.

The good balance in our opinion makes the MSI GT73EVR 7RF a relatively affordable laptop with the best performance to date. It deserves the title of the best gaming model in terms of price / quality ratio.

Conclusion

Thus, the top 10 gaming laptops according to the online store site included both relatively inexpensive laptops and models with the highest possible performance at the moment. We set ourselves the task of choosing the best options from different price categories, so laptops with a price range from 1,700 to 11,000 rubles were included in the rating.
