Is it possible to configure this printer to print both wirelessly and wired from a stationary PC at the same time?

How to connect a printer via a wifi router: connection options

There are only two main ways to connect the printer to a Wi-Fi network. In the first case, the printer is connected remotely to the router, in the second we need a special wire. For remote connection the printer must have a special adapter. For a wired connection, the router must have a USB port.

First connection option

We usually use a USB printer cable to connect to a computer. But it can be used not only in this way. Follow the written algorithm:

1. The printer and router must be turned off. They will not be able to recognize each other in the on state on the move.
2. Connect the router and printer with a cable. Modern wi-fi routers must have a USB socket.

There are two ways to connect a wireless system between your printer, computers, and router. If one of the methods does not work, then try the second.

• Connecting the Printer Using WPS

1. Find a button on the router with the corresponding inscription.

Attention! Make sure your printer model is supported by the router! You can check the compatibility of the printer with the Asus router.

Connecting a network printer in Windows 7.

Check your printer's connection using the web interface by opening any browser and entering the address bar http://192.168.1.1. In the window that appears, enter your username and password (admin and admin, respectively).

In the next window, select the printer port (see Fig. 4). Go to item "Create a new port" and select the item in the drop-down list Standart TCP / IP Port.

After pressing the button "Further" The Add Printer Wizard will ask for the IP address of the printer on the network, the IP address of the printer matches the IP address of the router - 192.168.1.1. In the TCP port settings, select the LPR protocol and set the Name. Now press "OK" to save the settings.
